Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ultimately, I am giving this a 1-star because the UI and integration with the Smart Things app severely limit the functionality of this device. For example, many of the options (such as detergent and softener Auto-fill) only work for a few of the available cycles. You do not have the ability to create your own, customized cycle, so you are beholden to only a couple, limited options. Furthermore, I took the time to integrate these with the Smart Things App. Unfortunately, it repeatedly gets disconnected and the app only has a few basic functions making it useless. Lastly, I tried to call into their technical support and it was just a terrible overall experience. Their automated voice portal was cumbersome and the ability to speak with a human was non-existent. I tried text support and the time between messages from the agent was 5 minutes or greater. So basic troubleshooting took more than an hour. I was told this was a top-tier option but it missed the mark on so many levels. I would not recommend.

Even if you aren’t home when the dryer is running, it doesn’t mean you can’t check up on your laundry. Make sure your clothes come out perfect each time by using the SmartThings app on your phone or tablet. You can view notifications and alerts about your dryer’s progress, download new cycles, and monitor things with Smart Control. If an error code pops up on your dryer, you can use Smart Care to determine the code's meaning and solve the problem.

It also has all the settings you would expect with additional options for wrinkle guard, etc. I haven't had a chance to try out the anti-static or use the steam features, but it has everything I think a dryer can have! Similar to washer, I wish you could set the additional options to default based on the setting, ie for permanent press always use the anti-static option, etc.

It connects with my phone so I can set scheduals and try to plan when the laundry will be done. I am coming from a gas dryer, I noticed some items a a tad damp when the cycle finishes but that’s only with very large loads and probably just because it’s electric. Overall very happy with it would recommend. The dryer is also ascetically very nice and comes with a shoe drying rack.
