Big disappointment

It came well reviewed, and wouldn't be prone to burn in like an OLED would playing video games. At $6700 it's not a cheap item. From the day it arrived, it has had issues. The biggest issues, and the reason it's being picked up for return in a few days, are significant vertical banding, making it look like watching tv through a streaky dirty window, and massive flash lighting on a black screen in low ambient lighting. Owning several other Samsung TV sets, this is the only one that's a complete letdown, and is so bad it needs to be returned.

Lasted 5 months

After 5 months screen turned solid blue. Had volume, no picture. Then would turn on and off by itself. Samsung sent 2 repair companies. Neither one could fix it. Now samsung is going to give me a full refund. Willing to try another samsung tv

Good picture hit or miss audio adaption

It's worth 4999 as long as your sound system talks to the one connect box if not it only will take you 3 hours to put it back in box and return it. At the 6799 price Sony 940E is the better TV. Plug and play no matter your receiver. Something with the optical cord going from one connect. OTA sound was at a whisper, all audio from any aps opened on the tv were whisper quiet even at max vol. 4k bluray sound was however phenomenal.. They still have some bugs to workout with all that. Just know that your home stereo system may not work as seemless.

Great Picture, but falls short of the mark

Otherwise it is terrific, but don't expect black levels you'll find on other high end TV's that are out there. Be careful when shopping at Best Buy. They have salesmen trained by Samsung; so they direct you to Samsung TV's

Was good when it worked. Drops WIFI. Ads?

Mild/moderate dislike was the advertisements pane at the bottom left on the apps screen you can seem to get rid of.... especially since you are paying a premium of 5000$. Shame Samsung is now doing this. .....But after owning it ~25 days the remote control frequently stops working. Will disconnect from WIFI every 30 min... Put a call into best buy/Lets see what unfolds. Currently unhappy with my 5000$ TV Purcase

Awful connection options

That requires another power connection and another box that you need to try to find a spot for and "hide", unless you want this ugly box sitting on display next to your $5,000 tv or hanging on your wall. Whoever thought this was a good idea was way off base. I would have never bought this tv if I knew this was the only way to run connections to it.
