Bought this tv hoping it would be as good as our other QLED Samsung that we bought years ago. Finally got it mounted and fired up some movies. The picture looks excellent and the audio is decent but I have two big complaints. Although the picture quality is great there is a significant amount of backlight bleed. This causes soft white spots to appear along the edge of the screen, which are mostly only noticeable during dark pictures. A lot of LED tvs have this issue but this particular unit is severe (pictures attached probably look 2x as bad as it is in person). Secondly, the general navigation is very slow and laggy. I’ll hit the menu button and it’ll take 2-3 seconds before the command is recognized. The lag thing isn’t a huge problem but kinda annoying. The backlight bleed is by far the worst factor. Neither are issues you should experience when paying a thousand dollars for a tv. Very disappointed. I do have a tech coming out soon though to check the bleed issue. Hopefully he can fix it or Samsung can replace the unit.

In the meantime, to optimize the Smart TV performance and reduce lag or delay, please try Device Care option under the Support Menu. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

The tv clearly has a issue in the middle there is a dark spot about 16 inches wide,it needs a sound bar,the size is great but that darkness is annoying

Hello, so I’ve only seen reviews for this TV after a month or two so hear a review at a year. Like I said we’ve had this TV for almost a year. I think 1 year will be this October 21st and it’s October 7th now.. I will say it was a decent TV while it worked, crisp clear picture. Sound quality is horrible but we have a great sound bar so that wasn’t an issue! Today at less than a year, our son was playing a game annnnddd the screen suddenly went black and seconds later turned back on to the black line.. so we are now experiencing the apparently well known issue of a black line vertical on the left of the screen. We’ve tried all the known ‘do this, fix this’ and nothing has helped. So upsetting. We paid 1200. Granted, we did go for a relatively cheap TV as a quick solution for our youngest son breaking our other one but even then! For 1200 a TV should not break in less than a year. Next step… we are headed to Bestbuy to speak in person and see what we can do and then contact Samsung. Honestly I’d steer clear. It was a great tv for the value.. AT FIRST. Spend a little more, you’ll be saving tons in the long run :)

TV lasted 13 months, just long enough for the warranty to expire. Now the tv has a sever black shadow covering 2/3 of the screen and goes completely black every couple hours, then comes back on by itself. Samsung is totally useless, local repair service wont fix it. Waste of money. Dont buy samsung.
