I am reviewing the Samsung 75" TU690T Crystal Tizen TV that I purchased about a month ago during a sale. I did extensive research online and was at the local Best Buy store to compare brands and models. I considered lower quality brands with mini-led and Qled features for similar price points, but they were just not the same level of build quality and brand reliability. There are some added features on higher end Samsung models for more money, but they were not worth the extra in my opinion (example more HDMI ports, etc). Pros: I am very pleased with how the TV was packaged as it was flawless out of the box. This TV replaced a 55" Sony model from four years ago, and the picture quality, contrast, sound, brightness, and size were an upgrade in every way. The Tizen operating system is significantly faster than the Sony Android system on my previous TV. TV setup was easy. Samsung Plus TV has a bunch of great free channels to go with the locals (from antenna), and the Guide seems like a Cable TV guide (see photo). Apps like Netflix and Prime are easy to use. There are yet to be any errors on any Apps used on this TV. The picture quality is outstanding, but don't expect it to look like OLED quality. Cons: The downside is that NFL Network is not available on Tizen. It does show glares from lamps in the room at night (see photo), but so did the old TV. The remote has a few less features than the previous Sony TV, but it is still good. Overall: The family and I are very pleased with the purchase and look forward to many years of having a big living room TV with great picture and sound.

Listen me when I say DONT WALK RUN AND FLY!!! As a single mom of 6Beautiful princesses I have zero regrets, and that’s on Mary Had a little lamp, my girls are excited and overjoyed and so am I by far this was one of my best life purchases for such an amazing price delivery was a breeze the delivery guys were very respectful and helpful “hats off to them”. This Samsung 75” smart tv quality is top tier, from audio, vision,lighting,sound,picture, etc even the settings are great honestly can’t even complain. The fact that Samsung gives us sooooooo many free Chanels is amazing the kids gets to watch PBS kids and so many other educating cartoons and learning activities is a blessing. Being at home and having the feel as if we’re at the movie theatres is definitely a treat that everyone should enjoy and i love that for us! And with that i would again love to thank Samsung and Best Buy for the amazing customer service and speedy processing am now about to purchase a 55” for my room and I’m excited to do it all over again it was and always will be my pleasure!

Bought a 75” 4D tv. Way bigger than I expected but is very nice. The colors are great but think the volume is very low. You have to turn it up into the 60’s if you don’t have any surround sound. Everything else is great.

Very happy with this. The color and sound are great. It was a little difficult to mount because it's a little heavy but not too bad for 2 adults. Once mounted on the wall it's difficult to reach the USB/HDMI ports so I recommend plugging in before mounting but that may be the mount we used not the TV's fault. Overall for happy.

Yes, it's entry level, but it's a brand new 2022 model and it's a Samsung. So for me, an Average Joe, It does an awesome job at everything I need a 75" TV to do in my living room. I love it! Especially for the price! I got it during the Member Monday sale for $580 (A brand new 75" Samsung for $580?!). If you really want to nitpick fine details, spend more money and don't buy an entry-level TV. I just don't understand people that say all good things about a product and then give it less than 5 stars.

 Excellent TV only issue I have the remote sucks TV quality is great pictures. Great smart TV is working fine. Beautiful 75 inch pictures. Amazing love Samsung. Just hate the remote.

Beautiful huge TV for a real good black Friday price. My wife and I unboxed this by laying it down on our dining table and sliding it out within 20 minutes. After setting it upright on our TV stand and plug into the wall, I could not get it to power on no matter how many times checking the remote control to make sure we inserted the batteries that came with this remote the right way! I tried to unplug the TV and plug it back on few times but the remote still not working. I was frustrated thinking about having to return this big TV to the store, because it wouldn't even fit in our car( we had it delivered to our home)!! Right before I call best buy's customer service I thought I give it a try with some AAA batteries that we had at home and after changing the batteries the TV came on right away and man that was a big relief. So our unboxing and setting this TV up took us an extra hour because of the dead or defective batteries that came with remote!! Other than that we love the picture and everything about this TV, I wish remote had voice but still you can go around it if you hook it up to Alexa or google assistant hub. We do recommend this TV.

I’ve had this TV for a couple years now and it works fantastic, the graphics and quality do not disappoint, the size is big enough to make your gaming experience better and when watching movies it’s like having a home theater, plus it’s a smart tv you can load up with apps and control the tv from your smart phone! I for the PRICE too I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE!

I understand that this isn't a top tier HD set, but overall it suits our needs and exceeds expectations when compared to higher cost models. The overall build quality and design still feels premium. I prefer Samsung's slim more minimalist controller from my previous model and only 2 HDMI ports left a little to be desired but doesn't really effect us as we only need one for the living room. Might be something to consider for someone who has multiple peripheral devices. The picture is vivid and the blacks are deep and whites crisp. Overall, for the price, I'd say that this TV really exceeds expectations and is really nice for casual TV watching on the couch. Not for serious gamers, or massive setups with lots of A/V and gaming devices. But for general entertainment it's a premium product and a 10/10.

It’s an excellent TV especially for the price point it’s at there isn’t a better value. A 75 inch 4K television with all the bells and whistles for under $600 is a steal. I caught mine on a black Friday sale for 499 and couldn’t be happier. The shipping and delivery was pain-free and I got notified every step of the way where the TV was until it was at my doorstep and then they brought it inside where I needed it,

So happy I purchased this TV it was an upgrade from my 65” and im NOT mad. The price made me do it and I’m excited I did. Purchased Friday night around 9pm and it was delivered inside my home at its scheduled time Saturday (the next day/morning) at 11am. I won’t lie I watched the delivery men handle my items and they have done the best job I’ve seen (I’m been in my new home for 2yrs so I’ve experienced a lot of deliveries). They were polite and respectful and dressed appropriately. The TV obviously was packaged very well easy to hook up to previous wall mount and the TV literally does all the work for you. Once you log in it’s heaven, my family def enjoyed watch all out holiday movies/shows and sports events. Great addition to the family… another deal like this and my whole house will be Samsung.

So far, so good! It has only been about a month of constant use. We are both retired and all we do now are watching all types of shows basically all day. Whether it be movies, numerous streaming services (Netflix, Max, Paramount+, AppleTV+, etc), live TV from DishTV Sat, and live sports games) the picture quality remains amazingly great all throughout. This TV has impeccable color quality and depth. One noticeable difference between this TV and my old Samsung TV (high-end at that time) is that the black/darker part of shows are now true black without artifacts or shades of dark grey; it is now easier to watch dark movies or shows that have scenes in the dark (like that one episode of Game Of Thrones where they battle the dead at night it was basically filmed in the dark.) Furthermore, when watching shows that require fast movements (live sports games), there are no "ghosting" effect. Basically, a great TV at an affordable price!!!!

Given that this is an entry level 75" inch TV and priced extremely competitive even amongst the non-major brands, its an extremely value for money product. Having owned a 55" TV, wanted to go for an 75". And I was too divided between an OLED and this, Ultimately, this being priced at about half of an OLED, I decided to go with this. The major limitation is that it has only 2 HDMI' ports and 1 USB. One of the HDMI is e-arc, which is great and I have connected to my sound bar and another to my firestick. Usually this is all I need, but I do occasionally connect my friend's Roku or my laptop and that's when I have to disconnect my firestick. Yes, I do need the firestick as Tizen doesn't have a F1TV app. Speaking of Tizen, it really needs a bit of improvement when it comes to apps. There are few key apps that still are missing. The picture clarity is much much better with Firestick than Tizen. Although the TV remote is huge and lot of buttons, it beautifully controls the firestick and my non-samsung soundbar and I dont have to toggle between remotes at any time. But with so many buttons, the lack of dedicated buttons for Sound and Picture settings baffles me. Samsung could have provided option to re-program the colored buttons. One of the major issue is light reflection. It really does hamper the viewing experience and I have to switch off the lights to enjoy my TV viewing. Another disadvantage is not able to adjust the legs distance, but I can understand why. Given the TV weight, I would feel comfortable placing the legs as far apart as possible to provide maximum stability. Absence of a headphone jack is another small limitation. Alternately I could connect to my Bluetooth headphones. Only when I and my wife want to use earphones to watch TV together, I miss the headphone jack to which I used to connect a splitter. Quite a few picture setting options - with Filmmaker option as well which is nice. I was watching an old movie with STANDARD settings and the clarity was brilliant. Even better than 55" TV, meaning upscaling works really well with appropriate Picture settings. This is not one of the brightest TV. I am having to watch the TV at around 80% of brightness levels but my older TVs I usually watch at 60%. Sound quality is not bad at all, but using a soundbar is definitely better. Overall, its an absolute value for money TV and the whole experience of watching in a 75" TV is awesome.
