This SSD is the best of the best! My laptop will boot up in 11 seconds and shut down in 5. System runs MUCH cooler as well and processing is very quick and does not strain the CPU even when running multiple programs at the same time. the CPU stays at a level that is well within the normal operating guidelines. I have also bought an 840 EVO and it is also a very good SSD but the 850 PRO reigns supreme

This thing is fast! I put it in a 8 year old laptop with a new copy of Windows 8.1 and wow! I'm on the home screen in less than 15 seconds from the time I press the power button (majority of that time is the Bios loading). Since I am using old hardware I can't even use the drive to it's full potential but even then program load times are pretty much instant (only with 3 gigs of ram). If you have the cash I recommend to buy this. The new Nand techonology and the 10 year warranty is worth it! I may end up switching this out to my gaming PC!

I upgraded a system which is a few years old to breath new life into into. Added some additional RAM, which had some impact but thought then I would try a Samsung 850 Pro SSD to hopefully speed things up a bit more. Simply amazing upgrade. I had no idea what I was missing. System boot is now what seems to be instantaneous in comparison. Do yourself a favor and get a Samsung SSD.

Awesome drive. It's fast, the Samsung Magician software adjusts my Windows PC setting so they are optimal for how I'm using my SSD drive. It accurately shows lifetime, reads/writes. Plus it's backed by the longest warranty I've seen for an SSD drive. Definitely in a class of it's own... I haven't seen this much attention to detail on an hard drive from any manufacture.

I chose this drive due to its warranty and better quality than the EVO drives. Installed in a 5-year old laptop that was getting slow. Copied over the boot partition from the old drive, and this Samsung 850 Pro will allow me to use this computer for another few years!

When my wife's laptop drive crashed I started searching replacements. As I have (mirrored) SSD's in my desktop, she asked if it were my computer what would I replace it with. My nearest BB had this in stock, and for the lowest price (even lower than advertised on their website!). It was a no brainer. I will probably replace my failed desktop SSD with one of these shortly to bring the mirror back to healthy.

It is a little bit faster than my 840evo drive. My boot times, after the bios screen, are around 15 seconds to workable desktop. System Spec - i5 3570K (Stock Speed), 16GB of DDR3 Ram (Samsung), Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H, XFX - HD6970

I have been wanting to upgrade my sons computer for some time. This was his Christmas present and he was very excited to be able to watch movies and have more music to play on his MacBook. I would recommend this drive to anyone. Now he has a "brand new" computer for a reasonable price. It was also very easy to install and the price was right.

Needed a new hard drive for one of my laptops and decided to install a sold state drive since I have not been having any luck with disk hard drives. Installed in minutes and then I reloaded the operating system and I was off and running again!

Its everything that it promises to be. Very Fast, easy to install, and I was up and running within minutes. I highly recommend it to give your old computer a boost!

My husband installed this solid state drive in his Asus laptop, and it has been working great. We love solid state because they tend to last longer since they have no moving parts. Our experience at Best Buy was top notch (as it usually is), and we are extremely happy with our purchase!

Installation was very easy, no problems installing operating system (Windows 7 Pro) and applications. Very pleased with the speed of this drive in an HP Elitebook.

I installed this on an old computer and works great. My computer doesn't have the latest SATA interface but still works great.

Love the Samsung line of drives, have a few now, Samsung being one of my favorite brands, all are stll running.

This drive is a great drive to use in older computers. It is easy to install and performance is quick. It seems to get quicker the longer that you use it. If you have an older (not ancient) computer that you want to revive, this drive is the one to use.

Installed, cloned my boot drive, and running in less than 30 minutes. New boot time is awesome!

This installation triggered a Windows crash that was fixed easily but was annoying, but after the fix was completed it worked perfectly and the Windows boot was super fast.

I researched a while before buying this hard drive. So far, I am extremely happy with the performance. I use it as a start up drive, that is why it's only 128 gigabytes.

Simply fast!!! this thing is really fast, Highly recommended, the only thing I regret is that I did not get a bigger size.

I dont know how I waited so long to purchase an SSD, this thing is fast!
