Up and running with no problems!

Then I plugged it in, changed the boot order, and now I'm running Windows 10 from it. It boots much faster than before, but a little slower than I expected. (Boot time is less than one minute.)

Best SSD for boot drive

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Can never go wrong with a Samsung drive if you are moving from a hard drive to an ssd always go Samsung for there simple software to clone your boot drive onto it its so painless you just download the data transfer software from Samsung's website Then its a simple process then u can just free up your old hard drive to use as a storage drive.

Excellent PC / Laptop upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these to upgrade 5 year old devices, an i7 laptop and an i5 desktop. Used an external SATA to USB adapter and downloaded free Samsung software to transfer Windows 10. Bootup time is awesome, and overall app loading and processing is great. If you have a desktop, be sure to check to see if you also need a tray and an extra SATA cable for the desktop - ask a friend with PC hardware experience.

But Samsung's online support and documentation leaves a lot to be desired. Be sure to use Windows to set up and identify hard drive. Windows 10 makes it very easy. Do not use Samsung's utility.
