I bought this SSD previously for an older laptop that I own. It worked for me so well that I decided to buy one for my parents who have an all-in-one PC that was one it last leg. Now there is no need for them to buy another PC because of the speed performance gains that this drive offers.

At work we're constantly upgrading or replacing computers. The traditional hard drives are getting replaced by an SSD. Both the performance and longevity of the Samsung 860 EVO give us the best bang for the corporate buck. So much so that I decided to get one for a home computer. So far, so good!

This is the 4th Samsung solid state hard drive I have bought. The software is very easy to use to transfer the data to the new hard drive with YouTube you can find out how to replace your old hard drive with a video. Wait for a sale they always go on sale every couple of months.

This worked great for my 2011 MacBookPro - made it boot up and work much faster! Note: it didn't connect correctly on another 2011 MacBookPro.

Has cloning software which is quite helpful. Not hard to swap out once done. Very reliable and high speed. Been out for a while now. I almost never give 5 stars.

Bought the SSD as a replacement for the original Hitachi HD in a 2011 Mac Book Pro, which failed. Have had the SSD for 3 weeks now. The improvement in performance is obvious. I also think it has helped battery life a little. The only (minor) drawback is that the case of the SSD lacks the four small prongs that the original hard drive had to hold it in place. As a result the drive “wiggles” a little inside the laptop. I ‘fixed’ the issue by inserting a small piece of thin cardboard, as wedge between the drive and the laptop case.

Ditched my mechanical drive for this. What an easy upgrade. Wow the difference in boot time alone is worth it.

I bought two of these to go into RAID to replace some older SSDs. They read/write at advertised speeds. I have had to already power cycle them to fix the all time favorite boot disk not found issue once. That may have been user error though. No need to knock rating for that. Great deal!

I bought this for my Xbox One X to help speed-up load times with PUBG , Madden 19 and some other games I play frequently. I had BB price match for $72. I was not disappointed as it seems to load the games much more quickly and seemed to have helped with rendering of objects when landing in PUBG.

Hard drive worked as it should has a little lag he response time compared to higher end SS D’s But does outperform other SSDs in the same price range will buy again

I am very impressed with the affordability of SSDs nowadays, and with a 500GB drive i can fit everything on it, and I wont ever have to worry about my drive bottlenecking my system. Ive tried other brands before and samsung is the only brand ive ever bought that has NEVER blinked out of existence.

am able to put 5-6 big ps4 games on it. then i put the rest on a external hdd. improves load times (usually between 25%-50%) for games stored on it and improves games not stored on it a bit. also improves ps4 operating system navigation and processes since its installed on the ssd by default.

Was able to pick this up in store when my 256 gb SSD was filling up. The salesperson was extremely helpful in recommending this one. A few days after I bought it Amazon put it on sale. One quick call to BB and they credited my card with the difference. This is one of the reason I love BB.

Samsung is always a great quality product and especially when it's SSD! Added life to my aging desktop computer. It's super fast and efficient like a new one!

Samsung - 860 EVO 500GB SSD drive provides proven performance. After a year of use, it is going strong. I have it one 24/7 and it is working like a champ.

so far it working properly my boy just like to updating for more memory because the console we buy only have 250GB not enough memory to store

Amazing SSD, Picked up for 55$ on sale. Probably the best performing SSD at this price point. Windows loads insanely fast and applications are almost instant. Will be buying another one soon to put into Raid0 to basically double its performance.

This is being returned, not because of any fault in the product, I just purchased the wrong item. I ordered online and Best Buy has been fabulous about their delivery speeds both for home delivery and pick up. They've really kept our home running.

I bought this so I could add an SSD to my Xbox set up and this thing is amazing! Does the trick and I no longer have to sit at long loading screens. Some people might question whether or not it’s worth buying an SSD but I’ll tell you it is. If you can get a good deal on one I say go for it!

Got this to replace the older, slow hard drive in my Mom's Dell laptop. The difference in boot time was extreme. It took about 25 minutes to swap out the drive. Used an Insignia enclosure to connect the original drive to the laptop and clone the contents to the newly installed drive.
