I have been using the Samsung SSD drives since I first heard about them years ago and they have all been great. I decided to grab the 860 EVO as some extra storage for my PC. These drives are some of the best available for the money and aesthetically pleasing as which never hurts anything.

If you have a 2012 or older macbook Pro you gotta get this piece and switch it with your old HD, just add some memories and your Mac will be faster line a new ones. Thank God I didn't bought the new Mac cause mine is working just perfectly and I saved more than thousands bucks...

This is my 2nd Samsung SSD. They have been working really well. Transferring my os and data from HDD drive to SSD was fast. I recommend it.

Had to break down and purchase another drive cause mine died in my current laptop. So far so good. My laptop runs a tad bit quicker and smoother.

This 500 Gig Samsung EVO 860 SSD is lightning fast and makes my computer boot in 20 seconds instead of 3 minutes with a normal hard drive. The $ 59 price tag is worth every penny. Watch your programs and apps open super fast.

My wife's laptop had slowed down so thought it was a good time to upgrade to an SSD. Drive was on sale and available at my local BestBuy store. Installation went well. Using a Win10 USB stick formatted and clean install was successful. Wife happy with response after reloading software.

Like all of the Samsung products I have purchased this one is excellent. Replacing the laptop mechanical hard drive prevented me from breaking down and buying a new PC.

I had to replace my laptop hard drive and this looked like a good improvement. I have not issues with the new drive. Nothing glamorous but a good upgrade.

Bought this for a PC build I did for a customer. This SSD loaded the OS very fast within seconds of the power button being push.

Easy replacement and Samsung program process works perfectly. Laptop easily runs 1000% faster. Boot up is now seconds, verses minute and a half with 7200rpm 500GB factory installed harddrive. Easy upgrade, would recommend.

Much quicker than the old style hard drive. The transfer of data from the current hard drive to the solid state drive is confusin.

Works perfectly and rescued 2 laptops with these. Both seemed very slow compared to newer laptops but feel like new machines now.

I installed this Samsung 860 EVO 500GB in an early 2008 Macbook Pro. It now loads the welcome screen in 10 seconds and is fully functional in 45 seconds. I was pleased enough to install Crucial and Dataram SSD in 2 other pc's. Now I hope for decent longevity from this drive.

Excellent low cost primary boot drive for older systems. Bought to build my girlfriend a pc, boots in under 10 seconds.

No problems so far, and none expected. Only issue was that the included software for cloning from another drive required the other drive to have a fully functioning OS. I was doing a swap from a failing HDD to this SSD and planned to reinstall Windows 10 over the cloned copy (or beside it - neither of which worked on the old HDD). Ended up needing to use another PC and connect both the HDD and SSD at the same time, and use other software to make this work. Didn't expect the additional expense, but keeping the data from the old HDD was important enough to warrant the additional work

Wanted to be able to play DVDs on the computer, since my current computer did not have a DVD player. The Best buy sales person was very helpful and knew exactly what I needed. Also, he explained in detail how to connect the device and run it.

Our desktop computer was old and we were running windows 97. when up grading too the newest windows program there were technical issues which required a new hard drive. Our system has performed perfectly since its installation.

This ssd was a very nice upgrade to my laptop. My startup times have been significantly improved and data transfers are very quick. Setup/installation is very easy as long as you don't have problems with the screws on your machine.
