    I purchased this to install into an old laptop that had been lagging on start up for a few years. After installing, the time from powering on to login is less than 8 seconds.

    The adapter plate mounting screw holes did not align perfectly with holes in mount in PC. Had to drill out to get alignment. Distance between connectors on SSDD too close. Had to trim side of SATA cable to allow it to fit on SSDD.

    It's a pain to transfer your hard drive over so breast off just doing a clean install while price is okay the lack of space is awful I really don't suggest a 500 at least go with a 1TB.

    Wrong hard drive mine was double this size. I had To bring it back to be replaced with the correct hard drive. Then the computer still has the same problem, over heats. Needed a new fan.

Samsung mSATA SSDs rarely require a heat sink, yet maintain optimal performance thanks to Samsung’s advanced design and manufacturing capabilities coupled with an integrated, heat dissipating thermal label. In rare instances of extreme workloads (transfer of several hundreds of GB), performance may be throttled through Samsung’s dynamic thermal throttling algorithm to protect the SSDs integrity.

      Please be aware, however, that an external heat source such as a high-powered graphics card, or CPU placed in close proximity to a Samsung SATA SSD, can adversely affect airflow around a Samsung SATA SSD which may lead to performance degradation. Therefore, please ensure there is appropriate airflow around your Samsung SATA SSD.

    I installed the Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD in my computer, and it made a huge difference in performance. Boot times are almost instant now, and everything runs much smoother, from opening apps to multitasking. The installation was simple, and the improvement was noticeable right away. It’s been a great upgrade for my system!

    If you need space this is a good buy. Please keep in mind it will reach its max also. For the average use thumbs up. For max usage and storing you must up grade.
