If you can afford a big SSD, and have a motherboard that will support this device, it's fantastic. I am a developer and use this as a scratch area as well as virtual memory paging, it has increased productivity for me.

I've upgraded my Samsung 950 Pro 512GB with this new Samsung 960 Pro 2TB model. I had waited for it for a while as it was out of stock for several months. Finally its here, performing as expected. A note for those who use PCIE - M2 adapted card. My previous drive was installed via an unbranded adapter which was supposed to be a quality-class product as it had a condenser on it to mitigate loss of data on the SSD drive in case of a power loss. Somehow the PC and the adapter with the old SSD worked. With the new drive 960 PRO 2TB model I experienced issues using that adapter such as sporadic freeze during data copy, PCIE bus change from 4x to 2X and even PCIE video card changing the bus speed from 16x to 8x. And I couldn't use the two onboard M2 slots as they were occupied by Samsung 960 Pro 1TB SSD drives already. So only after buying another adapted, without the condenser, and installing the new drive onto it (a hint - its the same brand as the motherboard manufacturer) all l issues have gone!
