My hdd would run so hard it would almost crash during windows updates. This thing takes it amazingly and the only time I’ve seen it have anywhere over a 10% read speed was during a hard to run game for my pc. Not the best one by the brand but definitely worth it with only like .05 millisecond less response time

I did factory reset my pc and installed a fresh version of windows on this drive so I know there is nothing limiting the speed. Using the Samsung Magician software is easy and it gives you the option to maximize performance. Installation is easy and setup was easy as well. Overall I would recommend and I still believe Samsung makes the best SSDs available.

Replaced a platter drive, easy as could be: disconnect old drive, insert SSD into m2 slot, secure in place with screw (took a while to find the mobo box, that was the hardest part), plug Windows USB into drive, turn on PC and load OS. Difference is remarkable, everything is much faster--games, file access, web page loads, etc. Going to upgrade the rest of my PCs in near future.

Unless you need a M.2 drive for moving 50gb files around like in a workstation, you really won't see any difference between a PCi 3.0 and a 4.0 drive. Maybe Windows 11 will implement changes that take advantage of a 4.0 drive for everyday/gaming, but that isn't today. Excellent price/performance.

Very easy to install compared to standard ssd's (assuming your motherboard is compatible). Starting up the computer is faster than ever and loading times in games are virtually gone.

It was super easy to install. I prepared a windows 11 USB ahead of the time and did a fresh install. Loads up super fast now and doesn't take forever to open programs. I'm not sure about Temps but I haven't heard any complaints. Her motherboard had heatsinks on the m.2 slots already so shouldn't be an issue. She mainly games so I didn't see the need to buy the pro version. Overall it's a great drive I'd buy it again if I had to. Even better if you can catch it on sale

I got this mainly as a game drive, and I transferred a 100gb game in no time at all, and the load times are pretty spectacular for the games I have on the drive. For the price I highly recommend as a nice game drive or whatever use you may find.

My windows load up from shutdown in 6 secs. Samsung has software that you download that goes with this. The only con is they get really hot so you have to by a heat shield.
