Purchased as a replacement for smaller monitors I utilized for work purposes, as well as a way to watch streaming services after long days and I do not regret my decision. Have now had the monitor for nearly 3 years with minimal issues, with the only one being related more to my monitor mount than the monitor itself - as it will sometimes cause the power cord to loosen just enough to shut off. I would have preferred the power button to be located in the recess behind the monitor instead of the bottom, as it can accidentally turn off if tapped against a surface at an inopportune moment. Otherwise, great purchase.

I went through 6 purchases to decide which monitor i wanted and tbis outbeat the rest of them. Love the white the resolution is great and having the ability to watch tv is a huge plus.

This screen is darn good. It’s not 4K but i mean for the price, size, and fact that it doubles as a smart tv and monitor. Ppffttttt

This monitor, or should I say, TV, is a great multi-purpose screen. For work usage, it acts as a second screen for my work laptop and is great for looking at a whole Google Sheet/Excel workbook at a time. I wish it had a height/angle adjustable stand, but you could put it on a standard VESA mount if you want. One issue is that the monitor is so big, that when screensharing over Zoom/Teams on it, colleagues using laptops ask me to zoom in on what I'm sharing. I've used it for some light Nintendo Switch gaming, but for anything over 1080p and 60hz, you're better off with something else. For the TV, if you've used a Samsung TV or anything like it, it's exactly the same experience. It has a ton of built-in Samsung channels and the most apps I would want (Netflix, HBO Max, Paramount, etc.). I haven't used the in-device browser or productivity features, but it's nice to know they're available. I also love that comes in white which is unique for a computer monitor, so it matches the rest of my room aesthetic.

love the picture quality and dynamic monitor settings. makes watching movies, school work, and so many other things so much easier and enjoyable.

Wide screen which is good for multi views of documents. The only problem I have is when I turn on my other Samsung TV it activates the smart monitor which is in the same room.

This is a cool little monitor, its essentially a smart tv. The picture quality is really good. We dont use it for gaming or anything. Only issue we have is when its wirelessly connected to a computer it lags a little bit. When i bought this i was little worried about that but it was worth a shot. So our laptops just get plugged in. It is very sleek so it fits well on our little writing desk.

Samsung is a quality company and this Monitor/TV is a perfect example. I’ve owned many monitors. I use this AM500 i almost exclusively as a smart TV for streaming, primarily YouTube, though it has most of the majors apps already installed. Others are available in the linked Samsungvstore. It’s HD vs 4k but gives a great, clear display. The only caveats are in a brightly lit room, which is true of most videos or diminished view at an angle, where the picture fades. It’s mostly intuitive but some nebulous directions pop up, usually resolved with a couple of efforts. I especially like the remote control which makes navigating the menus easier. While not an A+, it is a solid A for my uses.

Very good image for a 1080p HDMI connection, both with a Dell laptop and a MacBook Pro. The SmartTV is actually great, can set up as a quick TV in the kitchen or bedroom using YouTube TV and other steaming services. Remote is easy to use and built in sound is decent for such small monitor speakers.

Love the size and use this as a second monitor to do school work or work. The color is a different shade then my laptop while having both connected but it’s ok. Love being able to switch from working on an assignment to watching a show on it when done.
