    Another great product from Samsung

Love this canister style vacuum from Samsung. It has two suction settings and so easy to control from the handle. Saw a review about it using two different batteries, but the unit only uses AAA batteries at the dust sensor and control at handle. Cleaning of accessories is super easy and all parts feel good quality and sturdy. Has a small footprint and we just used a plastic container to store it and all accessories safely at one place in the house. I have always liked Samsung products, not saying they never fail, once bought a microwave that didn't work, but apart from it all the TV, phone and washer/ dryer I have bought from the company have always lived to their reputation.

One of the best on the market at decent price!

So far this is the BEST vacuum cleaner with BAGLESS TECHNOLOGY that I could find on the US market at DECENT price. The bagless technology save your money - no need of replacement bags. No HEPA filter here: this SAMSUNG has CycloneForce filter and practically there is NO main filter that you have to replace ever except one small air sponge! As engineer I am IMPRESSED with this Samsung centrifugal filter. The overall manufacturer design is also impressive: compact, very moveable, extremely user friendly. The vacuum power is very good. As technology, design and capability to perform its main function: collecting dust and hair, I rate this Samsung Vacuum with Excellent!

Great vacuum, just a little expensive

I'm a big believer in getting what you pay for. If you only spend $100-$150 on a vacuum, you're probably just going to end up with an average vacuum. The Samsung has passed our test so far - our old Hoover exploded after many years of service and it took about two weeks to have time to purchase a new vacuum. We did the two vacuum test and was really impressed with how little we picked up from the carpet doing a second vacuum, after emptying the canister from the first time. With a dog and a cat, it seemed to do a great job picking up the hair. The vacuum head almost adheres to the floor with how much suction it has. The carpet felt "softer"" and "newer" after vacuuming because of how much agitation the fibers received passing over them with the vacuum, even in high traffic areas such as our entrance rug.

    DO NOT BUY

I would give it 0 stars if possible. Do NOT buy. See the attached pictures of parts that broke. No, I did not abuse it! July 27, 2014: purchased online from Sears. October 2014: (2 months after purchase) the power brush was not working. It took Samsung a month to send a replacement part. It still did not work. November 2014: Then they send me the hose assembly. That took a month to receive. That did not fix the problem. January 2015: I had to send it off to repair in New Jersey. The ONLY place in the USA that services Samsung vacuums is in New Jersey. February 2015: I finally got it shipped off. Due to the eastern coast snow storms it took until March 10 to “repair” the unit. April 2015: It worked for about two weeks before the boom broke. It took a month to receive the replacement boom. May 2015: It worked for about three weeks until it started losing power in the power brush assembly AGAIN. June 4, 2015: I had to ship it off AGAIN June 4th for “repair.” Finally after posting on the Samsung USA Facebook page and calling corporate HQ in Dallas TX, Samsung agreed to replace the unit with a new one rather than “repairing” the old one. June 9, 2015: Samsung screwed up and “repaired” the old unit instead of replacing it. It is in route via UPS to me now. I spent another hour on the phone with “executive” customer service and they finally agreed to refund my purchase. I’ll believe the refund when the check clears the bank. To Samsung’s credit, customer service is very polite and tries very hard, but NOTHING ever gets done. The vacuum was never repaired correctly or it was just a matter of the next part breaking.

Complex, Sprawling, Needs both AA & AAA Batteriest

To be fair, vacuum may have worked fine for picking up dirt. But it was just too complicated for my needs. The thing was hard to store, takes up too much space, sprawling out with it's long hose/pipe. It has extra heads but they have have to be stored separately, so likely to lose. But really turned me off was was the cord-powered unit had TWO different battery-operated components. (A dust sensor and something else.) On top of that one piece required AA and the AAA. I can't see myself keeping up with two different battery types for electric vacuum cleaner. I guess I need a more compact, simpler solution. I'll be returning this one.

      Hi JxB100,

I'm sorry to hear the VC12F70HNHR doesn't suit your needs, but hope you'll consider one of Samsung's other models.

      We appreciate your feedback!

This is the WORST vacuum I have ever purchased. The rotating brush shut off when it got to my low pile carpet. NO SUCTION.
