Have had this blu-ray player for about a month now. Replaced my old one after I bought a 4k TV and wanted to see if the blu-ray player with the 4K upfitter worked well. So far, everything has lived up or exceeded expectations EXCEPT for the buttons. The buttons are placed on the top of the player which is highly annoying when you're trying to find the eject button. Couldn't Samsung have at least put lit buttons on it when touched so we can see what we're doing? Overall though, it works as expected and has a great quality picture.

My unit played music CD and DVD movies, but not Blu Ray. It was an openbox, and that seemed a bad choice, again. No big deal. I returned it with no trouble and the lady at customer service was very nice about it. I just bought a pair of another model that work fine.

the blue ray player didn't upscale to 4k, only 1080p

Returned a Panasonic DVD player. (JUNK) We exchanged for the Samsung - BD-H6500/ZA - Streaming 4K Upscaling 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player - Black . This is a great player. Hookup was very simple and straight forward. Connected to my WIFI in 2 seconds. Streaming is great on the player. Picture is very clear.

Standard DVD's work great but when we tried Blu-Ray's nothing worked. Even took it in to Best Buy to see if they could figure it out, no luck there. We were told to contact Samsung for replacement or repair.

Purchased a Samsung 65" 4K TV a few months ago which has awesome picture but 4K programs are still limited. Decided to buy this Samsung 4K Upscaling Blu-ray player and right from the first Blu-ray movie I played, upscaling made an incredible difference. Very much worth the price at $120!

I purchased this Blu-ray to pair with my new Samsung 4K (UN65JS8500FXZA). Reads discs quickly and works well with the 4K TV. Also, the price I paid was well worth the quality of product.

Picture quality is great and I love that I can use the remote with my Samsung TV. Easy to use all features that are offered. Just wish it would resume the movie where I left off.

I have a home theater setup with 200 inch screen for which I was looking for a pretty good player. I tried Sony BDP-S7200 first and it was good but not like awesome particularly with streaming services. On a big screen like that, I could find missing quality. Then I bought this and it is really a charm in everything. My streaming services are VUDU, NETFLIX & AMAZON. Only for AMAZON, it takes about 30 seconds to buffer and then full HD shows up. As for VUDU & NETFLIX, it is instant HD. The 3D picture is also very bright with no ghosting. Even the sound seems pretty good. I highly recommend this to everyone.

I bought this upconverting Blu-ray to go along with my new 4K Samsung TV. I was skeptical of the promises of 4K resolution from a 2K Blu-ray, but it works! Newer films that this unit upconverts look just about as good as the native 4K content I've streamed online through the TV's Smart Hub. I'm going to really enjoy this thing when I get my sound system.

Worst product ever. Failed after 11 months. Best Buy not honoring return

Great Product. Easy setup, just follow the instructions. Identical dimensions to my Comcast cable box so it looks nice in the cabinet. Seems to process WiFi signal well. Smart screen is a little busy, but puts everything in one place. My only argument is that the controls on the unit are on the top right front. I have to put my cable box on top of it (ventilation, it's the hottest running) so I have no access to controls; I have to use the remote for everything. It's a minor quibble, but it's not really obvious from the pictures.

I really like this blu ray player beautiful picture it shows. Apps are really nice, I feel like a trader I love Sony blu ray players I was so disappointed in the Sony 6500 blu ray so I had too buy this one the Samsung 6500 and it is so nice. I had too exchange the Sony so many times so I had to get this model. So far so good I am satisfied for now.

Awesome performance especially with up scaling to 4K. I like the interactive features. Easy to use interface. very smart player

Excellent picture and easy to set up. Easy to use overall but would like a couple of software changes: 1. When turned on the HOME screen defaults to paid movie services rather than DVD, even if a DVD is in the device; user should be able to set the default to what they use the most.. 2. Doesn't have apps for HBO-GO, Showtime etc. Since HBO-GO will be a stand-alone option in the near future it would be nice to be able to access it to cut the cable cord (I'll use my Roku in the meantime).

First thing is first the blu ray player does a really good job in play blurays. The first bluray movie i ever watched was ant man with this player, and i was literally blown away by the quality. The sound and video quality is really amazing. I really cant go back to watching movies in DvD because blu ray looks awesome in my 37 inch hdtv. The bluray player looks sleek and expensive due to its structure and color. Cons There is also web application and apps such as youtube/netflix which i probably never use because it takes a million years to type using the remote. The ultrahd upscaling feature only work with ultra hd tvs which makes the feature pretty much useless. There was no coaxial digital output in the player which is bummer because it clearly mentions in the product description that the product has coaxial output Overall, It is a good player but there are cheaper options out there which are just as good. The only two features which are useful is the ability to play blurays and encoding blurays into DTS 5.1 audio or Dolby digital 5.1 audio

Purchased this player to go with my new 65in Samsung 3D TV, theater experience at home.

I bought this Blu-Ray player as a match for my Samsung 3D LED TV. I like the option of many features, such as Apps, All Share and the fact that can be controlled using a single remote control, which helps reduce the number remotes around. The player can also be controlled via an Android App, which passes commands via the TV and a remote control relay cable that was included with my TV.

Great quality easy to set up and great to watch 3D movies I connected with my new Bose Home theater system.
