This is truly an excellent Blu-ray player that sports a fantastic video signal with equally great audio processing. I bought this after reading reviews on home theater sites and from other Best Buy customers...for the price point, I'd never go to anything else. I had to buy this to replace my older Sony BDP-S570 (which I loved) after I found that its audio processing couldn't handle Dolby Atmos signals on my recent HT receiver upgrade to an Onkyo TX-NR747. I was admittedly upset about having to buy another unit, considering that my Sony still is working perfectly. However, those feelings went right out the door after connecting this in the HT room. Video signal processing: flawless. Audio codec translation: Flawless. The Samsung Apps and online video services (Netflix, Amazon Video, Vudu, etc.) connections are fast and clear. All of the previous reviews are right: this is a fantastic player that comes highly recommended.

I purchased this during black Friday to go with the Samsung 4k TV I also purchased. I finally ordered Deadpool in 4k to see what the difference was in quality to find out the DVD would not load because the DVD player only upgrades Blu rays to 4k quality, it does NOT play 4k dvds. I contacted Best Buy who put me through to Samsung who also confirmed this. Wish I checked this out when I first purchased the DVD player because I would've got something cheaper that does the exact same thing or changed my TV to a 3D capable one to utilize that function of the blu ray. I don't have a 3D tv so I don't know how that feature works. the streaming feature works fine and everything else is good. Just wish it was a 4k player like I was told by a Best Buy associate that it was and now I'm past the return period.

It was easy to set up and easy to use. quiet. good quality.

Well, if it played a BluRay we would have liked it. Hooked up easily, programmed easily. Remote is nice, just wish the remotes, (TV and player, both Samsung) worked all controls of both. Still have to have two. Played DVDs, BUT... It wouldn't play a BluRay. We called Best Buy. Told them the problem. They informed me that they don't help with this for free and gave me the number of Samsung. I called, it took about 15 min to get a tech. He ran me through the update and asked me how long it said it had before it was finished. I said 7.5 min. He said they'd call back in a Day or two to see if it had worked. That was Monday this is Thursday. No call and it still doesn't play a BluRay. We live 1-1/2 hrs from Best Buy. Spent over $1,500.00 at Best Buy on that Monday. Feel like they could have helped us with the problem and it wouldn't have been free. Samsung doesn't seem to have cared either. We will be returning it.

This is an awesome bluray player offered by Samsung! The interface is incredible and the ability to run applications off the bluray player makes this a great addition to your TV! Pair with a Samsung TV and the qualify is unmatched!

This blu-ray is teamed up with a Samsung 4k Smart TV. The installation was a dream with all configuration well documented in the included guide. Much easier than the non-guide not included with the tv. The remote duplicates the smart tv remote, so I used the tv remote instead of the included one. The only down side is that the manual controls are located on the top right corner, limiting some of the places you can locate this unit.

Best Blu-Ray/Media player I've purchased ever. One of the best things about is the that it fully supports bus-powered external hard drives. My TV and A/V receiver support usb, but not bus powered drives - extra power source needed. I use my high end Mac Pro 2013 for my video purchases/downloads, but don't wait to waste the power leaving it on to support airplay. I travel my seagate media drive with for catching my movie/tv collections. Being able to plug it in to a device on my main home system for viewing is great. Only drawback is, I'll probably need to replace it with a new one that will handle full 4K content in the next few years.

With this player you don't need an smart TV, however be aware that streaming through the browser is very slow regardless of your broadband connection. Everything else works great and the image is awesome!

This 3D Blu-ray player compliments my Samsung 4k TV very well. The only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars is simply due to the fact that the home screen looks quite elementary/basic

PROS:The unit is very solid, easy to setup, play a few regular blu ray movies and the UPscale si great. CONS: This unit does not play 4k UHD Blu rays, as i originally thought the specs are not specific so shame on me for not researching more, This is the only reason i purchased this unit. Final Notes: If you want a good 4K "upscale" Player this unit is great.

beats sony s-6200 and panasonic bdt-460 hands down. only this samsung will output 4K youtube files in 4K resolution so you can show off that new 4K TV, sony and panasonic would not do it. movies look stunningly rich, film-like, almost as good as my reference denon dvd-3800bdci, a $2500 reference caliber unit and stereophile recommended component. ability to change picture mode "on the fly" while watching movies is a plus - you can see right away how the movie looks in different picture settings live, without having to stop the movie and go in to menu. also it is a very fast and speedy in operation and the remote control is very sensitive and powerful. the sony s6200 was fast and speedy but the movies looked very dry and grainy, and music playback of any kind from disc or usb port lacked shuffle feature which is totally unacceptable! when playing back thousands of music files off of usb flash stick the shuffle feature is a must, omission of that feature is just inexcusable and ridiculous! the panasonic bdt-460 had a very ugly cluttered menu and was infuriatingly as molasses and south american turtle so i just gave up on it.

Great blu-Ray player for picture & sound. Let's me display content from my Samsung tablet onto my tv. Always liked Samsung quality...

We upgraded our Blu-Ray player, so we could have streaming capabilities, This one has all the streaming we wanted, Sometimes the wifi can slow it down a lil. we love it.

I use with my Samsung 4k TV and its great quality. Definitely recommended!

I bought it as an open box item. ( so a great price) It arrived quickly. It set up quickly, and it works great, too.

I love the functionality of this 3D Blu-Ray, upscaling 4K player. It integrated with the rest of my Samsung Home Theater system automatically! It has been a solid performer for and the price, was very reasonable for such a feature packed player... the next model up was TWICE the price!

My first Blue Ray player, finally lol. This just works, looks and plays amazing. I highly recommend it!

It's a good UHD upscaling Blu-Ray Player with amazing 3D response, however, I was misled by the product specifications on the Best Buy and Samsung websites. This player does not have an HDMI in or any other "In" connections. This player is not capable of playing native UHD content per the manufacturer's product manual but is an upscale only (providing you have a 4K television). I am currently considering returning this item.

Great picture quality and features. No complaints and it's very quiet and sleek.

It's what I thought it would be and it was easy to set up. I watched my first movie on it last night ("13 Hours") thru my 4k tv and my Definitive Technology surround sound and it was great!
