Was a little disappointed at first cause I thought it played 4k dvd . But it didnt. I think that should be noted on the specs cause it was misleading . The player does play the regular blu dvds great gives you a more clearer picture the old dvd players and much easier to handle,

This product was so good I bought two of them.One for the beach and another for the home.Its streaming capability is excellent at 5 MBPS.

Pretty decent 4k upscale blu-ray player. Noticeable improvement in DVD and blu-Ray picture!! Sometimes it looks like the people are right there. Overall pretty good 4k upscale player!

Out of the box wouldn't play Blu-Ray discs, just regular DVD's, tried calling Samsung, after 20 minutes on hold, someone answered, told me to reset it, guess what? Same thing, back to the store with this piece of junk and bad customer service. I had owned 2 Samsung Blu-ray players before, right after the warranty expired, the machines died, and an insignia BD player that I had before, outlasted them both for years. I decided to give it another chance, bought this brick, I regretted it right away. Samsung, never again, it doesn't matter what it is. Would I recommend this to a friend? Heck NO. Would I recommend this to an enemy? Heck YEAH.

I bought this Device at Best Buy in Essex MD just yesterday. I am returning it as soon as i get back from church later today. 1. My TV is not 3D, but i expected it to at least play a 3D movie without showing the 3D effect. Maybe i was wrong, but it did not play it. 2. Thinking maybe i was wrong in (1) above, I tried to play 2 DVD movies i've watched with another device before. It didnt play. I played a brand new copy of The Messiah movie - it didnt play. I played a VCD movie i have with me. Did not work. I finally tried to play an audio CD of a song and it worked. Sorry, i did not buy it to play Audio CD. I am returning it later today.

I am very pleased with the easy setup and compatible functions with my TV and Samsung Sound bar. Setup only took a few minutes from the time I removed it from the packaging.

Overall sofar I haven't had any disk problems. But with my vast library (1200+) it will take atleast a year before I'll know if there are problems with all my movies. Setup was simple for my needs. I love the picture (video) setup options. My only concern, or petpeeve, is the fact that the "soft plastic" or "rubber" cap covering the USB port in front was warped (disfigured) during shipping by the packeting. becoming an eye sore (distraction). As it sticks out from the face of the player. Instead of being flush and blending into the case of the player. As this is just cosmetic I'm not persueing the issue. Played 5 DVD's todate. will update as I play more.

More bells and whistles than needed, but for the price and exceptional adjunct to my new smart TV.

The product performed with a good quality picture. The instructions are fairly easy to follow.

Plus= good app set; small footprint; good video quality; Minus: Incompatible with some discs; app set doesn't have some common streaming sources; no apparent way to connect keyboard; VERY tiny buttons; odd placement of advance and skip buttons; odd physical control on player. Summary: Will shop other makers next time

Specs say this has HDMI input and output. Best Buy subs the BD H6500 which only has input. They do not carry the BD H6500/ZA. Without the ZA this is a much cheaper unit. Returned it to the store.

I am replacing an older sony blue ray and this Blue ray loads quicker. I also like the smart apps. they came in hand when we did not have cable service. Now that we do I do not use the smart apps of the Blue Ray. I would buy this unit again if I need another player

The player seems to work well and has some nice features. The reason I selected this unit is the specifications listed it as having one HDMI input. Thinking I could then daisy chain my system Directv, This Player, the sound bar and then the TV for easy cabling. But there is no HDMI input.so must look for a better way to connect they system.

Everything worked great and still does other than Netflix. One day when I clicked on the Netflix tab it just brought me to a black screen and wouldn't load, I can only get back to the home screen by holding on the power button to restart the Blu-ray player. Netflix hasn't worked since. Other than that everything works great!

Having a UHD 4K 48" tv, I needed a UHD blu-ray player to match. Also internet conectivity was a requirement, this connects thru a AV receiver for surround sound with good quality HDMI cables. All works together for good movie experience.

I purchased this Bluray player in September 2015 and it was to replace an older Panasonic player. For a couple of months it seemed fine but now after only four months it skips, jutters and the picture quality and sound quality are OK at best. Tried cleaning it but not much difference..

Only worked 3 days. Then said 'no disc' for every disc I tried. All discs worked on other players in my home. Very disappointed. Best Buy store refunded money with no problems - but it is a long drive for me to go to the store and it was annoying that I had to make this trip to return after buying online to prevent that drive.
