This upscales to near 4K quality that is hard to beat especially the price. Has a great picture & comes on vert quickly. The unit is very light, wish it was a little heavier, wants to move around sometimes when loading but doesn't effect anything

This player was easy to set up and provides great quality. The player looks very high-end and attractive as well. Both DVDs and Blu-Rays look terrific. Backlit option on the remote is very handy, though having a button on the remote to open the player would be nice. We chose this one so we can play 4K Blu-Rays when they become available. We have a Smart TV so didn't need the Smart functions on the player, but it is nice to have them in both in case we decide to use it with another TV in the future. We currently use it with a Samsung 4K TV. Some comments note the operating buttons on top of the player. I have not had any problem with these, and I like that they are not so obvious. There are only 4 of them so I have no trouble operating them in the dark. I would not want to stack something on top of this player anyway since it is so attractive and the top might scratch.

Used with a 4k Ultra Samsung TV, works GREAT. Bought it more for the Blu Ray than the 3D. Setup was super easy. The remote makes sense, nothing wonky.

It does everything as advertised and has worked very well. We've gotten hooked on Netflix on this thing. LOL Bluerays play perfectly. It's small and looks pretty nice. What's not to like?

Good looking, small and multi-functional. It is quiet and very fast- discs are ready, menus, resume and other tasks are done quickly. Interfaces very well with my Samsung 4K TV. Smart capabilities work well. High quality product overall.

This Samsung Blue Ray Player w/WI-FI & UHD 4K capabilities is very easy to set up and operate. The price is right and so far,(purchased 5/15) the operation has been smooth with excellent quality.

This is a great bluray player. I have 4 of them and each one has a 4 year full replacement warranty from bestbuy incase it should give out, trust me best buy does in fact honor their warranty for bluray players and AV Receivers however when it comes to tvs and cellphones/ tablets it's difficult to get a new replacement usually for those devices they want to give you a refurbished one which most people do not want and constantly complaint about which i dont blame them, i wouldn't want some one else's used goods when it comes to tech. Getting back to the review, if I have 4 of these bdh6500 bluray players in my home you know it's definitely a great product. I have 1 samsung smart tv that is paired with this bluray player and I was able to turn on a feature called BD Wise and man I was blown away! My older 2007 model samsung tvs don't have the bd wise feature nor does my sharp Aquos 650 series tv but I will be getting a samsung 78 inch HU9000 to go with my living room bluray player soon because it is also bd wise compatible and it also has the capability of being upgraded to a newer ONE CONNECT box for new content and features. once that BD wise is turned on it will play all your bluray movies and cartoons in the best picture quality possible. Dvds also work with the bd wise feature and plays them at their best resolutions and calibration set up. As long as the tv and bluray player are both bd wise compatible, your in good hands with samsung's perfectly calibrated set up. You won't want to go back to standard. Trust me the 120HZ or 240hz your tv has will look amazing and will really make it stand out. This bluray player played every movie i put in it which is excellent. The only 2 things I honestly don't like about this player and wish it had available but not a big deal just want to throw it out there, is 1. The buttons on the player don't light up so at night it could be a bit tricky to control the bluray player with out accidentally ejecting the disc or powering off the player and 2. You can't re arrange the main apps from the player. I use Netflix and youtube alot and I don't use Hulu or amazon prime or any other service so I wish I could put Netflix as my first app and youtube as my second app for easy access but regardless of that small issue, this player is still awesome, "VERY RELIABLE" and I would highly recommend it.

Excellent features for pricetag on this item, being rurally located our internet is not always the greatest, yet this streamed video seamlessly with no buffering. Excellent purchase

This player has more features than I need (I only wanted the built-in wifi so my grandkids can access Netflix); its easy to use; I've been experimenting with the extra stuff and so far I'm loving it. I need to upgrade the TV now.

This was a replacement DVDs player to go with my new 4K television. Imagine my disappointment when I hooked it up to my current pioneer receiver and could only get sound or video but not both. Tried calling Samsung tech support (big, huge mistake) the tech support is off shored and they are the usual incompetent support. We finally did online research and discovered if you don't have a compatible 4K receiver the player will not work. So if you want to use your fancy new player and want surround sound be prepared to shell out a few hundred dollars on a compatible receiver. When we could get a picture the quality was phenomenal.

This Blu-ray player has a great picture. The up scaling feature on a 4K TV is really noticeable. The picture is very clear and the sound quality is excellent. The price isn't bad either but better if you can catch it on sell.

This player was very easy to set up and operate. The quality of the picture and sound are both very good quality. We have really enjoyed this player and the apps also. I would buy it again and would recommend it to a friend.

The Blu-Ray player was easy to install and easy to use. From converted home movies on CD's to the latest blu-ray movies, the quality is great and the viewing easy to do with out having to string additional cords and wires!

This Blu-ray dvd player turned my new tv into a smart device. i can stream movies from Amazon and Netfflix. loads blu-ray & dvds super fast. it also up converts my old dvds to a much higher resolution. great machine.

Bought this along with a new television and it works excellent. Does an incredible job of upgrading the picture on my older movies and on my new 3D movies the quality is awesome! Easy set up and easy to use.

This Blu-Ray player has been functioning flawlessly. The up-sampling is great for older DVDs - makes them look like Blu-Ray quality. It has integrated perfectly with my Pioneer AV receiver and Samsung TV.

Quality is very good. Without the remote, it's a little hard to operate. Controls on the machine itself are kind of dark and a little hard to find. Even the remote doesn't have an easy Disc "menu" interface.

I havent bought a DVD player in years. This seems pretty easy to set up and use. I watched Iron Man 3 on it. and it was very clear. I didnt really think about the 3D portion as I dont have the glasses, and i may not get them because the quality is good enough

I upgraded from the Samsung BD-C6900 to this model to support UHD w/4K upscaling. What a difference in picture quality & clarity...it is indeed a great buy!
