My first 2 reviews have been removed? I purchased the Samsung Chef Series fridge at best buy in Glendale CA. I had 4 delivery attempt. 1st attempt, the delivery guy said its to heavy and I don't get paid by the weight and just took off??? 2nd attempt Fridge was installed in place but right freezer did not work and they wanted to leave the fridge and send a repair person. I said no way, take it back and bring bak my other fridge. I paid for a new working fridge. 3rd attempt unboxed in the street and I ran a electrical cord out and discovered it did not work. The gasket seal was off and the doors had a dent. 4th attempt worked :)
Pro: The fridge does work great and the soda stream is used all the time. The fridge also cools hot soup quickly and the fridge does not rise in temp.
Con: I think the storage for tall bottles is lacking. The shelf spacing is not adjustable. It would also be nice to have had adjustable door container adjustable. 1st CO2 bottle did not come with the unit?
I just have to wonder why so many people have problems with delivery of non working units? I suggest testing the fridge outside before you move this big heavy fridge.

Ice maker is poor. Doesn't dispense whole cubes even when not on crush. Cubes fly all over not straight down. CO2 does not last long even when not used. Have it tightened as tight as it will go. Kept track of last one we got seven glasses out of bottle before empty. Far too much money for a fridge that doesn't perform

After spending an hour or two twice, maybe even three times at best buy, I was convinced this is the fridge to get. I looked at every model, ok, maybe not the trusty white apartment fridges. I had a Samsung four door French door style refrigerator in the past and it served me well. I suppose I am partial to Samsung at some level, but I gave LG and the others a chance to see what they had to offer. I liked this one as the drawers do not feel cheap, they are for the most part soft close except the very bottom freezer drawers for some reason. I like the blue coloring, it is very tasteful. The LED lighting is bright and does not leave a dim area in the fridge. I am currently using both sides of the bottom as a freezer. At better than 15 cubic feet for the fridge up top, at the moment it is sufficient. I just love how large this thing is. It literally is 10 cubic feet larger than the counter depth model! If you can swing this Samsung full size model, I think its well worth it. With its three compressors, you just can't go wrong. I haven't used the soda stream option yet, and I am waiting to install my RO system for the ice maker. I see that the 60L bottle is $30 bucks... kinda pricey but its a novelty unless you use it regularly. I do plan on getting the top piece for this fridge to make it look even sharper. This fridge is like a built in, except you still have around $4000 left to spend on the rest of your appliances.

Awesome size and really a lot of places to store all your food and drinks and things. Freezer is a pull out, so if you like that type it is big and live the shelf and extra ice maker.

SAMSUNG - THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
Purchased a $5600 refrigerator made by SAMSUNG. The edges of the shelves are finished in a blue color coating. 3 weeks after I received the refrigerator the blue coating started bubbling and peeling off from one of the shelves (others were fine). Photos you see attached are this shelf 6 weeks after purchase of this appliance. I contacted SAMSUNG with photos, explained that this happened clearly a factory defect. 6 phone calls , 8 hours later, being passed from country to country from one powerless manager to another powerless manager, 5 promised returned phone calls that never came SAMSUNG never shipped me a shelf to replace the defective one they sold as this so called "cosmetic damage" is not covered by the warranty even though its clearly a factory defect and I have to pay them for a new one. The new and last blow came when I contacted SAMSUNG with a different issue that is covered by the warranty (yes the fridge started to have technical problems less then a year in). I called SAMSUNG about a month before my warranty expired. I was asked to send in a copy of the purchase receipt which I did. I was then contacted a week later and asked to send in the second page of the purchase receipt which I did the same day. Then when I did not hear from SAMSUNG for several weeks I contacted them and was told that the case was closed. They did not know why, they said to me that it was closed by their mistake as they did receive all the documentation required, and no they will NOT fix my refrigerator under the warranty because the warranty has expired at this point and I have to pay them for the service. Yes they are well aware that the original request came prior to the warranty being expired, yes they know they closed the case erroneously, not they will not do anything about it. See the reoccurring theme with SAMSUNG is they sell you a defective shelf they want you to pay them for a new one, if they mess up on your warranty case "accidentally" you have to pay them for service. I ended up with an unreliable product from a company that won't stand behind it and this is my experience with them

The Rolls Royce of Refrigerators

Absolutely the most beautiful refrigerator out there. Ascetically sleek and understated. When you open the doors the gray and blue trim is unequaled, even Thermador and Viking can't match it. I have had it for 2 weeks now (got the 5 year warranty for piece of mind) and not a hiccup. Ice ,water, sparkling water all work well and the temperature is dead on accurate. I read a review about it not being able to accommodate large items but with two of the shelves being able to retract and more than ample room in the right door it's not a problem for me. I got a great price because one door was dinged but purchased a replacement door for 200.00 so I couldn't be more pleased. Best purchase I've made in a while and Kevin, the store manager along with Christopher Blaylock in Pacific sales could not have been more outstanding. (East Mexico location in Denver). If it lasts I'll never have a need to buy another refrigerator, it's everything I wanted. Almost forgot to mention the recessed LED lights embedded in the front that show temperature and operating modes is simply stunning. I find myself just staring at it. (grin)

I was deciding on the LG three doors with bottom three compartments, but when I saw the Samsung chef collection! It was a ahah moment!
I took the measurements and went home... I had to ask for my handyman to make it fit where the other one was! It looks so beautiful in my kitchen, and I can find my frozen meats in their compartments at the right temperature. The easy access of the water filter is a plus too! This weekend the fridge was 1,400 less at best buy! It was also on must on my shopping for a new appliance.

from the very beginning the ice maker didn't work it was replaced had two service calls , most of the time I had to use a hair dryer to defrost it. Now the ice maker has caused a problem and the condenser needs to be replaced which has caused the top of the fridge to exceed 50 degrees! just had to toss out 300.00 in food and when I reached out to samsung they told me the unit is out of warranty. infact you go to samsungs web site they dont even show the model number! isn't that interesting they don't even list a fridge a little over to years old! Thanks for taking 3000. plus dollars of my money not to mention an additional 700 to take care of the latest repair. DONT BUY THIS FRIDGE infact I would stay away from all there appliances!

I purchased the previous model #RF32FMQDBSR Dec, 2015. Best Buy no longer sells that model, but this version looks exactly the same and same price point. Hence, I believe the item was "re-vamped" with a few internal changes and given a new item number.
Pros: We LOVE the size of the fridge, water quality, adjustable shelves and convertible freezer/fridge section. The fridge is beautiful, quiet and freezer/fridge temps are always within spec.
CONS: The ice maker is a DUD! It leaks water, freezes up inside and stops making ice. Then, the ice drawer is frozen in place. You literally have to break it loose.
I had read the ice maker was a known issue. However, the fridge ticked all of our other boxes. So I hoped it was a few isolated issues and prayed we wouldn't experience the same problem. Previous reviewers said Samsung warranty service wasn't very good, so I opted for the Best Buy warranty.
Nine months after purchase we had our 1st episode. Best Buy took 2 weeks to send a repair tech, so I bought ice at the gas station during that time. The tech defrosted and repaired all in that visit.
Two months later the ice maker was frozen up again. This time it took 3 weeks for Best Buy to send a tech. It was decided the ice maker needed replacing and the repair was scheduled for 2 weeks later = 5 weeks to fix.
Two months later the ice maker was frozen for the 3rd time. The Best Buy phone rep advised me of the "no-lemon policy" when I scheduled the repair. They said I could ask the repair tech for a "return authorization" upon their inspection. If the same item needed to be replaced a 3rd time they could replace the fridge. Two more weeks passed and the repair tech arrived. He immediately informed me that all previous repairs do NOT count toward the 3 repair no-lemon policy because Samsung warranty reimbursed Best Buy for those repairs. No-lemon policy doesn't start until the manufacturer's warranty expires, no matter how many times the item had to be repaired.
Then, even worse news. Best Buy no-lemon policy has a few exclusions. One of which is ice makers. No replacement will happen for our 1 year old $4k fridge that can't make ice.
Okay, I was ready to live with endless repairs and buying ice at the gas station for the remainder of our 4 year warranty. NOPE! The repair tech kindly informed me there's a "limit of liability" on all Best Buy Warranties. He thinks it's the price paid for the item. Hence, Best Buy will continue to send repair techs for the next 3 years, until the total cost of those repairs equals price of the fridge. Then, we're on our own. Even if we meet that max 2 years into the 4 year warranty.
Knowing this was KNOWN an ice-maker issue, and the warranty exclusions, I never would've purchased the fridge. The repair tech did say Samsung identified the problem in 2015 and he suspected that's why the new model number exists. He said it's the main board limiting the heater time on the drain. Drain freezes up and water accumulates inside the fan & auger assembly. He assures me we won't have the issue again after this repair. Time will tell....

Great fridge held back by poor ice maker

I bought this fridge the first week it came out at my local HH Gregg store in mid 2014. Knowing well the ice maker problems that Samsungs have in general, I made the conscious decision of buying this unit hoping it would feature something better.......boy was I wrong and shame on me for hoping.
7 out of 10 times, the ice maker has managed to clog itself by way of excessive frosting or just stuck ice cubes. How this unit got past testing at this price range is truly a miracle. The rest of the fridge is amazing. I have realized that the CO2 function is simply not something I use very much of, but it works well when needed so long as the cartridge has the capability. The temperature control and capacity to keep food fresh is amazing though. The fridge is awesome except for the EXTREMELY POOR freezer which is basically the same unit they use in their lower end models.
Overall, if you use don't use ice regularly, like everyday, then this unit is simply not going to meet your requirement. Using it everyday allows the system to keep circulating ice. However, the frost buildup is likely to cause a jammed unit at some point even under this use case. At this price, I would simply not recommend this fridge. Too bad none of the other manufacturers make fridges this nice and large with the exception of the ice-maker.
