Customers are delighted by the Chromebook Plus 2-in-1's touchscreen, ease of use, lightweight design, and good battery life. Many appreciate its convenient size and performance capabilities. However, some users express disappointment with the sound quality of the speakers and the lack of a standard USB port. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding the less-than-ideal audio and port selection.

The chromebook is fast and has a quick and easy setup. Small and compact. Easy to carry around. The stylus and display are like icing on the cake. My only word of caution would be to make sure that you can live with just USB type C ports.

The Chromebook Plus is a great laptop for Chrome OS users. The display is nothing short of amazing. Bright and crisp, the touchscreen is responsive and just the right size. With its 3:2 aspect ratio, it makes it great for web browsing and apps, as well as using in tablet mode. The included pen is also perfect for use in tablet mode, but a lack of pen-enabled apps make it difficult to fully assess.
The processor and memory make operations on this Chromebook smooth and fast. Tab switching is never a problem and pages and apps load quickly.
The trackpad is smooth and precise, although could stand to be a little bigger for a unit this size. The keyboard is solid with good travel between the keys, but the size of the left and rightmost keys is truncated, so keys you would expect to be larger, such as Tab, Shift, Backspace and Enter, are sometimes easy to miss when typing.
The battery is excellent with a full day of use before needing to plug in. The included USB-C charger brings the battery back to full more quickly than a lot of laptops I've used.
For Chrome OS, even with Google Play Store Android apps installed, the 32 GB SSD is more than adequate. There's a microSD card slot if you find you need to expand your storage.
Overall this Chromebook is slim and light and easy to use in either laptop or tablet mode. My only complaints are the fact that Android app compatibility is still not quite ready for prime time. Many apps that you would think are made for a device like this, such as Microsoft Office, are not yet compatible and the Play Store won't even let you install them. Some apps allow you to install them, but their formatting on screen is so bad that it makes them unusable, such as Facebook. Other apps have text that appears too small, such as Hangouts and Gmail and you'd be better off using the web versions of those. But Samsung clearly had the future in mind with the hardware design, hopefully Google will catch up on the software side. The lack of a backlit keyboard, something I would have been happy to spend a few extra dollars on had Samsung included it. The only other complaint I have is that when using it in your lap or other surface that is not completely flat and rigid, the lid can get top heavy causing it to lean back a bit.
Otherwise, it's an excellent buy at $449. Highly recommended!

I initially ordered an Asus C101PA Chromebook. Shipping was delayed more than a week. When the product arrived, it was defective. I returned it to Best Buy, and they ordered a replacement. It arrived a week later, also defective with exactly the same problem as the first one. I returned it to Best Buy and they ordered me a third one. I also bought the Samsung Chromebook Plus (available in store), brought it home and it worked flawlessly out of the box. It runs chrome and Android apps equally well, has a beautiful display, and is very zippy.
The third Auss C101PA arrived, it worked but the screen went dead every time I flipped to tablet mode, ir was useless as a tablet. I returned it to Best Buy and kept the Samsung Chromebook Plus. It continues to perform very well.

I have been keeping an eye on Chromebooks for some time. All of my desktops and laptops have been running Windows or some version of Linux. My laptop was beyond overdue for a replacement and I found this Samsung Chromebook Plus and the specs are good. The screen is a big seller here, very sharp and bright. It's a touchscreen but it is so nice a screen I can't bear to get fingerprints on it.
The chassis has been solid and has taken plenty of backpack transport without issue. Other reviews have reported the keyboard as flexy, or mushy but I haven't found that to be the case. The touchpad works very well for me. There is a solid click when pushed on, a tap will also work and the multi-touch gestures are quite helpful.
Performance is very good for my uses, light writing, email, watching YouTube, and other everyday tasks. I tend not to keep more that 10 tabs open at a time and haven't noted any slow downs. Accept the fact that you will need to get some USB C adapters if you don't have some already. One USB C port on each side is nice to have a charger plugged in and an adapter on the other side. The battery is excellent, I routinely get 7+ hours before needing to recharge. Many time I won't bring the charger with me knowing the battery lasts as long as it does.
Overall this is a great choice, I haven't even touched on the convertible features and the included pen. Unless you have need of a specific Windows/MacOS program this machine will do all you need.

If you don't use a lot of the Google tools a Chromebooks not for you, unless you're just going to use it for web browsing. Breaking news Google tools at all this is easily the best to best laptop I've ever used it super fast it seems like it's always on the battery lasts forever I can't say enough good things about it.

It is nice to use instead of my old heavy laptop. However not sure I like the keyboard, the key placement seems different than a regular laptop keyboard, I always seem to be backing up to correct things. I also really miss the backlit keyboard I had on my laptop, that's why 4 stars. It doesn't have a caps lock key either, not sure why they eliminated that, and the screen lock key seems to be in an odd place for me as well, I seem to lock the screen at the most in opportune times. The positives are the screen resolution is great, very clear and colors are very vivid and it is extremely lightweight.

Bought this chromebook NEW & have been experiencing phantom screen touches and movements since taking it out of the box. It is incredibly frustrating and upsetting considering the price I paid. I can be using any program and all of a sudden the cursor will start to move rapidly around, the screen will zoom out & in, minimize or multiple tabs will open or other programs will open/close, all very quickly & I'm unable to recover whatever I was doing. There seems to be NO solution and I have sent multiple emails to Samsung informing them of the problem with no response. I can usually use the chromebook for 5-10 minutes before this issue occurs & it's a shame because if this problem didn't occur EVERY time I used it then I would have nothing but great things to say about. It's light, slim, fast and easy to use until it totally malfunctions! I have researched the issue hoping to find a solution to no avail & discovered that other buyers of this chromebook have had the same issue. Only solution seems to be a replacement.

Before buying, it is important to understand what your requirements are for a laptop. I have a custom built desktop PC that I use for advanced tasks, movie transcoding, photo editing, and gaming. However, I wanted a slim laptop to take with me on business trips. I can't really do anything personal on my work laptop, so I wanted something slim and light weight since I will have two devices with me while travelling.
The chromebook plus is quick enough for my use. I mostly use Android apps on it. It has been pretty good as a productivity device for me so far. I primarily use it for Microsoft OneNote to take notes. The USB C charging is great since I can use the same charger for phone and laptop. The stylus works well enough. I had a Surface Pro before, so I am used to using a stylus on a laptop.
The beta enables the power button to act like it should to put the chromebook to sleep. This will likely be in the stable version soon. It is a great addition and makes it operate more like you would expect.
The screen is AMAZING!
The battery life has been good with 7-10 hours depending on brightness.
The keyboard is good once you get used to the small backspace. It only took me a day to get used to it.
My main complaint is that Android apps cant write to the microSD card yet. Once this is enabled, the chromebook will be perfect for me.

2 things in one, really: a really fast computer that runs on Android, and a bigger tablet (when you flip the keyboard). If you don't mind not having access to all the Microsoft software, it runs great. You can run Microsoft online on this for free for basic Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc files. Or you can switch to Google Docs which have most of the same functionality.

This is my first Chromebook and so far I'm impressed. I've been a Windows owner forever and was looking for something different that was lightweight, fast, with long battery life. The Samsung Chromebook Plus does this just fine. It's also very versatile. I mostly use it as a laptop but it also does an excellent job as a tablet. The only drawback is keyboard isn't lighted but that really isn't that big of an issue as I'm sure that's why battery life is so good. Wi-Fi also has good connectivity in sensitive spots with weaker signals. For what I paid $369 after sale price of $419 and with student $50 coupon I feel this was a solid deal. Remember if you are use only to Windows and don't like change....do not buy this Chromebook. If you don't mind change and adapting....go for it.

i Love using google drive for everything, So this device is excellent for educators using Google classroom and Google Drive. It makes everything so easy. I use the stylus to create sketch notes a lot so this definitely comes in handy. It’s very light, thin and easy to pack in my purse as well. I use it throughout the work day, and I only have to charge my battery once a week!!! Awesome! Definitely recommend it! Worth the price

This is nice chromebook. It is fast, easy to figure out, and the touch screen is great for those used to tablets and mobile phones. It is very lightweight, compared to regular laptop. We bought it to use at hotel. The hotel wifi was super slow and made using the chromebook frustrating but I then set up a hotspot with my phone. It was very easy to connect the chromebook to the hotspot and it worked like a charm.

This computer was purchased for my 6 year-old to learn to type and more. She showed alot of interest in computers and I decided a chromebook would be a good fit for her. This one has a touch screen with a stylus and converts from a laptop to a tablet. For the most part, this device has been a terrific fit for our needs.
I find myself using the chromebook for myself, just because it is so lightweight and convenient. The battery life is amazing and it charges super fast. There are a couple of design flaws, however. The biggest drawback is the speaker placement. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, pointing straight down. If you have it on your lap, your legs will muffle the sound; making it difficult to hear. I wish they would have put the speakers on the top side, pointing up. The other issue is that when used as a tablet, the keyboard is completely exposed and tends to attract dirt and grime like a magnet.
For the price, this computer is a great value and I would absolutely buy it again. I love the long battery life and the convenience of a chromebook. I'll be looking for another one when my current laptop needs to be replaced.

Needed to replace a windows laptop for my elderly aunt, but without all the headaches that comes from microsoft os. After trying several alternatives, we found the chromebook plus to be perfect in size and ease of use for her. She especially liked the active pen that allows her to input in Chinese handwriting. Also, she has a android phone, so she gets to install some of her favorite apps as well!

It is one of the best Chomebooks around at the moment. Runs Android apps that you'll find on your phone. Lightweight for traveling and good battery life. Two USB C ports, so you can charge and connect to USB accessories at the same time, unlike many Windows and Apple laptops. Great screen. I have a Samsung Note phone and love that this also has a pen. Overall very happy with the machine.

My occupation has me on the internet accessing web pages for the most part and this device is perfect. The battery life keeps it running through a full day of work and some.
