Not a bad phone for the price but the processing is weak. I often have to use the slow is fast method with this phone to stop it from bugging out. Good picture quality and and storage for the price. Battery life is the best part of this phone, will last on one charge for 2 days if you're not glued to it. Overall, great phone for a business phone/kid. Worth the extra 20 dollars price difference from A16.

Fast, reliable, and great screen I’ve been using this Samsung Galaxy phone daily and it’s been a great experience so far. Very happy with this samsung galaxy budget phone. Easy set up and contacts, apps, photos and info transfers from old phone. Takes beautiful pics, quickly charges up, lots of storage and clear easy calls/texts.

I bought this phone; it's my second phone. Its budget phone, so I'm not expecting much but in terms of security, and os updated up to 5 years. The phone has a bigger screen and battery compared to my iPhone 17 , the only thing if you open many apps in the background it will slow down your phone

The screen image is nice quality, but I would definitely recommend a screen protector based on my other A series experiences. This phone doesn’t have the feature of expensive phones, but it is definitely satisfactory for normal usage at a fifth of the cost.

When you have two apps open , the device runs super slow and is laggy. I dropped my phone on to my hardwood floor from the counter which is only four feet off ground and the screen broke and on top of screen and right side of screen. And has a black screen.

So this is a review of the A17 5G. For a budget $200 phone it holds its own in some areas such as 6-7 years of os updates and security patches. The battery life is good. The screen and design look beautiful. The cons of this phone - the processor is slow and only supports 4 GB of ram even with ram plus. This phone struggles with multitasking more than 2 apps at a time. You will notice random stutters or slowdowns. Sometimes typing on the on screen keyboard feels sluggish. I have ran into a few apps that crash or wont open because the processor struggles at times. TLDR - I have owned many samsung phones from S to A and I can say this is definitely a budget phone. Don't expect to use this phone for heavy multitasking or heavy gaming. This phone is made for those who are light users for email, texting, banking apps, the occasional youtube or music. It struggles with even games like pokemon go. I would only recommend this phone if you want 6-7 years of support and are on a budget.

This is my second Galaxy phone, and it is easy to use. It has all the features I need. The camera is user-friendly, and the picture quality is very good. Lots of storage, and with the addition of an SD card, you should have room for all your great photographs. It has many of the features of more expensive phones. Charging time is very quick and the battery lasts for about 2 days or more, depending on useage. I am very satisfied with the purchase.

I can't even imagine why anyone would need to buy a more expensive phone! It does everything I need it to do perfectly. Granted, some people play heavy duty games on their phones and my idea of games is Solitaire and Freecell. But as an actual phone, for texting, web surfing, streaming, connecting to my car via Android Auto, as a camera (unless perhaps if you're a professional photographer, but then I'd assume you'd be using a real camera), I can't see how a more expensive phone could do any better. It will get Android OS updates for 6 years, you can expand the storage with a micro SD card up to 2 TB I believe, it's responsive, fast for only 4 gb ram. Setup was pretty easy, and transferring things from my old phone took a while but was straightforward. The only thing that took any effort to get used to was that this phone's notification sounds are completely different from my old phone, so at first I had no idea what it was trying to tell me whenever I heard a sound. But between getting some of the sounds I was used to installed on this phone and getting used to the new ones, that "issue" no longer exists. I'm delighted with it and I highly recommend it.
