So far it works fine. I think I like phones without all the AI stuff. This phone uses a lot of it, but Im from the older crowd. This is the first time I bought new phone in 6 years so there is a learning curve, some stuff is the same
It appears to be working well as a mid grade phone.

I had a Noki which was just terrible. This Samsung galaxy is heaven sent. Getting all my settings setup was very easy. This cell is light weight and eady to navigate thru. The camera gives clear pictures. I dont get dropped calls. Im satisfied .

I went into Best Buy to purchase my new Samsung Galaxy A16A 5G phone. I had just recently purchased the exact same phone in July 2025 through Cricket Wireless & I paid cash for my phone. When i went to switch from Cricket to AT&T Wireless for my phone service, Cricket refused to unlock my phone i had purchased 4 months prior to switching companies. AT&T is the lead Sister company over Cricket wireless. Cricket refused to unlock my phone supposedly because as per their policy I owned my phone for less than 6 months. It didn't matter that i purchased my phone with cash they simply refused because they lost another customer. These past few years I was becoming very unsatisfied with Cricket Wireless and after talking to the ladies at AT&T Wireless I was able to enroll into a wireless plan called 55+
Just by my enrolling into their 55+ program I save $30 per month from what I was paying Cricket. I had been a customer of Cricket for several years and couldn't believe how rude they were every time i visited their store. Lazy not wanting to help me when i came in, etc.
Definitely NOT the case with Best Buy. I was warmly greeted, shown their phone selection, and served within a timely manner. Plus when I purchased my new phone same exact model like Cricket, I saved over $200 purchasing it through Best Buy and also a screen protector added in the cost of the purchase price. I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH BEST BUY!!!

I switched mobile phone carriers and wanted to upgrade my phone. First, I needed an "unlocked" phone. Second, I needed a phone that would work with the new carrier. The Best Buy product description was very helpful and reassuring. It completely eliminated any guess work by listing all the carriers the phone worked with. I received the phone quickly and the switch over process was flawless. The detailed Best Buy product description allowed me to select the product I wanted and gave me the assurance the product I selected would meet my needs. Thanks Best Buy!

My dad needed a new phone and I bought him this for Christmas. I did all the setting up and seems very in line with Samsungs more pricey models. I wouldn't buy him a phone that I thought wouldn't be a good item or wasn't good quality and so far I'm impressed. It's very similar to my galaxy which was 3x as much and it's very nice in person.

Great phone, especially if you can catch it at $300 or less. It's a mod tier performer, but it's significantly snappier than the A16 since it has a Snapdragon 6 chip set. Highly recommend for those on a budget.
