Functionality is great. It takes great pictures and selfies. Good size memory and has expanded memory slot. I just wish it could wirelessly charge. But other than that it is a great buy.

This smartphone was quite unique, I brought it to replace my Moto G Power 2021 64GB, and I found this phone to be a slight improvement to it in regard to camera quality and speed. I enjoyed this phone, and the camera resolution and other features were beautiful. I also really liked that it comes installed with Android 12. The SD card adaptation was quite remarkable as well. Although, the there was some slight lag when launching the camera at times, not as slow as the Moto, but almost the same. I liked all the Samsung features and apps, like the Samsung exclusive apps and services, such as Samsung TV, Samsung Camera and Notes. Although the 10x zoomed photos looked a bit pixelated due to no tele-zoom lens, nevertheless, the 0.5, 1-2x zoom photos are excellent! In general usage, there was some occasional system stopping lag that I was only able to resolve by rebooting the phone. This lag typically occurs when I'm playing audio on the Spotify app. The Galaxy A53 5G doesn't do too well with the Spotify app, nor does the Galaxy A03s, although I haven't had to reboot my A03s because of Spotify yet. Anyway, another problem which soon occurred only about a month of owning the phone, was a large dark image of a square at an angle of about 45 degrees, permanently imbedded in the bottom middle of the screen, it is especially visible in bright light or when outdoors. And this wasn't because of water damage, nor other kind of screen damage that I know of, I even had my phone in a screen protector and protective case for almost the entire duration of my ownership, I've placed this extra protection on my phone within the hour of unboxing the smartphone. You may see the dark diamond/square image burned into the A53 5G smartphone screen underneath my thumb in the photo attached in this review. Anywho, What I also soon noticed was a similar dark image, this time a dark circle near the camera portion of the screen. I excepted the fate of my phone's screen after a failed repair setup, I lost the page to print the shipping label to Samsung, because I was logged out and I couldn't return to it, I was also afraid of repair costs. Days later and after some more help and research, I reconsidered the repair option. The Samsung support helped me a lot to get a new repair service request, although the process took about 1-2 hours, about 40 minutes I spent on the phone, although the support was super helpful. I eventually got my phone in for shipment. The return was easy, in the UPS store, the code was scanned on my A03s, and my A53 5G was shipped in for repair. By the way, about the A03s, I had to buy a lower cost phone, the "A03s" in the meantime while my main phone the A53 was sent in for repair. I also had to buy data service for the A03s, and I was assigned a new number. It was easy to Backup my A53 5G's contacts and other app data via the Backup utility, I did this before Factory Resetting my phone for return. The one obstacle I did face though when trying to sign into my Samsung account with my A03s was the 2-step verification, I had to either receive a text from my A53 or authentication from my A53, oops. So then, I had to power back on my A53 and sign back into Samsung account to accept and confirm the verification code sent to the A53 via the A03s. After that, I was finally able to sign into my Samsung account on my A03s. Then I went ahead and Factory Rest my A53, again, for return and repair. Anyway, the phone took no time to arrive at Samsung, it was air-mail service, and they inspected it for a few days then shipped it back to me, the phone only took a day to arrive once they shipped it back. I received an email regarding that the phone was inspected and the issue detected was repaired. However, once I received the phone and powered it on, I my excitement turned to disappointment when I noticed that the screen problem was still there. I'm very disappointed that this problem occurred just weeks after the return period ended. I contacted Best Buy about it, their support was helpful and patient, they found out that there were some options, such as Repair, Replacement and Trade-in, although I would need to go in a store to do so. Overall, I'm quite sad about the situation, however, I sort of accept my fate. So, far I'm pleased with my lower-cost A03s, it works just as well as the A53 5G, although I miss the additional features, 5G, Network Unlocked Status, Fast Battery Charing, Long Battery Life and ram of the A53 5G. The A53 5G and A03s do look quite similar as well, you may see them pictured together on their back; A03s on the Left, A53 5G on the Right. In conclusion, my message to take home is that despite its unique features and impressive camera, battery and ram, the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Smartphone is probably not ready for mainstream consumer usage due to the OS-Breaking Lag and inevitable permanent screen burnout. Thank you so much for all your time and review.

This phone works so well. I used to have a S20 FE 5G and i hated it because it would get hot and freeze up so i bought this phone as a replacement because it is very affordable. I love every feature this phone had. The camera is so clear. The battery last all day for 2 days and I use my phone for work doing deliveries. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a budget friendly phone with the same features as the more expensive samsung phones.

I've owned this phone for less than a year, 7 months to be exact and it's the worst phone I've ever purchased. It constantly loses GPS, Network Connection, and takes the most hideous photos I've ever seen. I refrain from using it to take important photos bc I know they'll be the wrong color and absolutely horrible photos when I go back. I hate this phone and wish I'd know to stay away.

i recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy A53, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! This smartphone delivers an excellent balance of performance, features, and value. **Display:** The 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display is vibrant and sharp, making everything from browsing to streaming a visual delight. The colors are rich, and the brightness levels are impressive, even in direct sunlight. **Performance:** With its powerful processor and ample RAM, the A53 handles multitasking with ease. Apps launch quickly, and gaming performance is surprisingly smooth for a mid-range device. **Camera:** The camera setup is fantastic! The 64 MP main camera captures stunning photos with great detail, and the additional lenses (ultrawide, macro, and depth) provide versatility for all kinds of photography. Night mode also impresses with its ability to brighten low-light shots. **Battery Life:** The battery life is exceptional, lasting all day with regular use. The 5000 mAh battery means I rarely have to worry about running out of juice, and the fast charging feature is a nice bonus. **Software:** One UI is user-friendly and packed with features. I appreciate the customization options and the regular updates that keep my phone running smoothly. **Overall:** The Samsung Galaxy A53 is a fantastic mid-range smartphone that offers a premium experience without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and stylish device!

For the price, this is a really good phone. It's fast, easy to use, and the screen has an amazing picture quality. The camera is better than I've had in some time. The only thing lacking for me is a headphone port, but I've learned to live without it. Battery life is long and kind of impressive considering I'm on it a lot. It's definitely an upgrade from the Revvl 5, which i unfortunately went to after my LG died. This was more like my LG, an easy transition.

I come from S22 ultra and A53 is worth 1/2 of the specs. Not bad price vs $1200. Great phone at a discounted range of $350 with all like features of the S series. Big screen is nice and flat with amoled thats a steal. Camera photos at night are less grainy but make out the objects differences okay from 100ft. Better than Motorola $300 phone photos. Display durability is good from 3ft. 5G is nice to have and mobile hotspot. Comes unlock huge plus not cdma only gsm. NFC. Bad: Laggy phone simply put. Buy higher end if you can afford it sadly for the more than average life on a mobile owner. Slow processing during typing, downloading video, screen ui crashed (weak), ram default to 4GB not 6GB. CPU stutters or becomes unresponsive. I had trouble typing on this phone cause my ultra keyboard was higher in height so I adjusted it up for spacing.
