It helps me a lot in my work and when driving. I don't have to look in my bag for my phone. It's very easy to use . Notification is good giving me a glance of which messages and phone call urgent to response. The only thing I'm not happy about is the picture shot of the camera. It takes awhile to get a shot. It will be great if the camera is a fast snap shot with clear picture.

This was my second galaxy gear to exchange as the first one I had was defective. I really liked this watch because it was suitable for my needs and it did serve it's purpose. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the second one I received and it was not much better. The screen on the second one scratched too easily, would have to turn on/off constantly in order for connection to continue, the snap clasp felt too cheap and would always come undone often and gave out on me before 30 days. Luckily, I purchased their warranty so I was able to exchange it for the newer Gear 2.

If you like to have all the latest gadgets then this watch is for you. Its fun and convenient.

Tech savvy person that needs newest toys. Bought on a whim and feel was good purchase. Can actually talk on it without pulling out my phone and read messages. Battery life could be better but than again don't sleep with it on. but am loving it

I love this gadget! I can talk, text, take pictures, call people and stay in touch without ever having to pick up my phone! If you work with your hands (who doesn't??), it is very convenient. I also love the pedometer function, which helps challenge me to walk more each day.

Knowing this watch is pretty new on the market, the list of available apps to download is still small. I downloaded and installed three apps I really like. One allows me to customize the watch face. Another translates another language for me from photographing text. a And one allows me to send my GPS location to any of my contacts. It's nice to have appointment notifications pop up on my wrist. One thing I really like is not having to dig my phone out of my pocket to see who is calling. Of course I have unique ringing for certain important people in my life. Talking into the watch during a phone call can get uncomfortable for more than a minute. Usually any longer, and I end up switching to my phone, also for better clarity. I love being able to pull up the weather and week forecast. I also like being able to use the voice commands for calling and sending text. I miss fewer calls now, because the watch can ring and vibrate.

I was given this as a gift. It is cool and works really well, but the thing I wanted to use it for most--notifications will only work with the native app. So if you use Chomp SMS or Handcent SMS, you have to uninstall before the notification will work. Also, Gmail will only show as new mail, you can't open it from the Gear. Pedometer works great though. Watch functions are clear and neat. Battery life, not so great, maybe 2 days on a charge.

The Galaxy Gear Smart Watch keeps you informed at all times without having to access your smart phone. I love using it to make phone calls and the voice command capabilities make it a most useful tool in many situations. I like to use it to set the timer while I'm cooking on the grill. It's the must have next step for smart phone owners.

Wonder why there's so many returned Gear watches, could be not worth the $300 price tag. Possibly waiting for price to drop to a more reasonable level. Unique watch/camera/phone.

It is so easy to just tap and access to funtion. The blue tooth is easy to access by just speaking - also easy to hear the person you called even while driving on a noisy frwy. Many people have notice the watch and asked about it. After showing them what it can do they want to go right out and buy one. We call it our "Dick Tracy" watch.

Love this watch and the tizen update makes it a great value.

It's a great device it just lacks applications. The screen is sweet,,so is the touch screen responsiveness and customation with watch styler. The battery life is not great, either the apps or available colors of the watches.

Purchased the watch for a couple of reasons; I just upgraded phones and I figured the watch would be a "cool" way to stay in touch during meetings. However, it's more of a novelty item than a tool. If you just want a new high-tech toy to expand your mobile reach, then this is definitely for you! This watch is a great ice-breaker; people can't help but to ask about it all the time. So for a social setting, it helps create conversation with new people. As for a business setting; unless you don't mind using voice-commands in front of your colleges or customers, then a "silent" phone will do the trick just fine.

I got the gear for my boyfriend as a surprise gift and he is in love with it. He takes it everywhere he goes and cannot get enough of it. Its hands free when you're driving and he's able to text me back when he's at work without getting in trouble. I kind of want to purchase one for me now, and they're also stylish!

I really love this product. The hands free calling device is great. Awesome sound and people can hear you well! I'm sure as updates are made the text and email notifications will become better. Overall a great product and I would buy it again!

I am glad that I bought this watch. It has worked exactly as it's advertised to. Calls sound good. I love getting the alerts for email, texts, Facebook, weathering and other apps I have on my phone that give alerts can be set to alert on the watch too.. so now I don't have to get my phone out unless it's something really important. Could use some more apps for the watch, a Facebook specific would be good. Also a calculator would be nice too. Overall I am very pleased with my watch.

When I purchased the Galaxy Gear I was excited until I tried to read an email and it told me to look on my device. That was before a series of updates made the watch more useable. The ability to reply to text messages and receive calls without taking out my phone is a life saver as I work in a profession that requires me to be hands free. Notifications from 3rd party apps like Google Hangouts, Google+ or other apps work fine as far as notifying you but, you can not reply. The battery life is acceptable as it will allow you to use the watch all day. I unplugged my watch at 6:45am Friday and currently it is 12:30am Saturday and I have 10% life left in the battery. In the end I'm very happy with my purchase and I can say that 4 other co-workers have purchased a Galaxy Gear and I know of 1 other co-worker who bought one today. The price can be a sticking point for some but for those who want a wearable that allows you to not only receive a text or call but also send a text or make a call FROM your watch then the Galaxy Gear is your best choice.

I bought this watch because I have a galaxy note 2, and anyone who owns a galaxy note knows that it can sometimes be a burden to take in and out of your pockets. The galaxy gear allows me to easily screen my incoming calls or notifications without having to resort to pulling my phone out.

I have had the Samsung Gear for a few weeks now. I bought the grey colored version. I've always wanted something like this. It uses the blue tooth connection to your phone which has distance limitations but still useful. You can receive texts and emails to your Gear. Phone call quality is pretty good. S Voice allows you to reply via the Gear as well. It also takes pretty good pictures. If you use Google + and its backup feature you can automatically have your pictures backed up so that won't get lost. You will need to keep it charged. I get stopped alot where people ask me if that's the Samsung phone watch thing. So it makes a great conversation piece as well.

It took getting use to it, but once I got the basics mastered, I can't see going anywhere without it. I don't have to hunt for my cell phone in my purse or pocket when I get a call.....just answer it via the watch. Also takes better than average photos. Highly recommend it.
