I'll never buy another Samsung product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of Samsung products! However, I'm not anymore! I recently had to buy a new phone. (I would've kept my old phone longer, but after 3 years, it literally bit the dust!) After hearing the trouble Samsung had with the newest note 7, I decided to go with the older model. Initially, I was very pleased with this product. However, 16 days after purchasing this item, I woke up to a screen that was non responsive to finger touch. By the time I got to a Samsung center to have the phone looked at later that day, the screen had gone almost completely black. The gentleman at the Samsung center ensured me that I could send the phone in, and Samsung would fix the issue free of charge, because it was under warranty and there was no physical damage to the phone. I gladly sent the phone in, happy to hear they would fix the issue. I mailed my phone in the next day, and Samsung received my phone 4 days later. In less than 24 hours of receiving my phone, Samsung put my phone in the mail, still broken and shipped it back. They would not fix the issue with my phone, (although it was an internal issue) without a payment of $182. By the time I received this bill/notification and contacted the company my phone was already in transit back to me. Needless to say, I have a brand new phone sitting in its box, that is not useable! I have since switched from Samsung products to Apple and am beyond happy!!!!!! This phone, along with the newer models, are made of poor quality and Samsung is not willing to fix the internal issues that come with them. I would not recommend this product to anyone! Side note: I give this phone a zero star rating. However, in order to post my review one star had to be selected.

Stunning Display. Great Device.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to the Note 5 from a Galaxy s3 and I have absolutely no regrets with my decision. The display of this phone is considered to be the best on the market right now according to experts at Displaymate. This is not surprising when looking at the phone. The display is beautiful! The fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device works very well and I have had no issues with that. Battery life has been great for a smart phone. The front facing camera takes wonderful photos with its 5 megapixels with a wide view. Obviously there are some trade offs (no SD card slot or removable battery) but if you think you don't need those then this is the phone for you! Go out and get it while Best Buy still has their $200 gift card trade in offer and wireless charger deal. You won't regret it!

Upgrade from the Galaxy s5
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this phone it was an upgrade from the galaxy s5. The picture quality is amazing so clear. Calls come with such clear tones. I love that I am able to change screen design(not sure if that feature was available on the galaxy)

Quirky. Not as intuitive as my Note2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Notifications are a annoying. I was not able to remove the new voicemail notification and neither could the Samsung rep at Best Buy able to. Sometimes when I wake it up it opens the camera automatically. I liked the Note2 better.

wow. just wow.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I've always loved the note line, and turning in my trusty 3 year old, perfect condition note 2 was a painful thing for me, but I've been completely satisfied this last week. There's only a couple of things I would change, but the pros far outweigh the cons on this one. Cons: no removable/expandable memory. I don't do a ton of games, and now that my life is practically on the cloud for pictures and such, this one might not be so bad. If you're concerned, spring for the larger memory. Integrated battery. I've had trouble with other brands over this in the past, but in the 3 years I had my last note 2, I only had to reset it twice, so I'm crossing my fingers. I'm still not happy but we'll see how it goes. The screen sensitivity. This may or may not be a problem for most people, and I don't mean that the screen isn't freaky awesome, because it is, but the touch goes completely to the edge, and I'm totally not used to that. I'll learn. ;) Battery life. Granted I'm on it all day and it's new, the battery hasn't been trained yet, but I still have to charge it mid day. I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt for now. This isn't a huge problem for me personally because I'm surrounded by chargers. I also remember my note 2 going through the same break in period and the battery got much better. Pros! Pretty much everything else. The fingerprint scanner feels a little gimmicky, but it's cool. The physical design feels nice and streamlined. While they took away the external memory, they made it extremely simple to work with on the computer. Very easy to understand the filing system inside the device. The screen and the speaker are simply flawless. I'm amazed every time I hear a song played on it, and as an audiophile, I'm never impressed by phone speakers. This one sets the bar very high. The camera is crystal clear and has an awesome built in editing suite, and the front cam is wonderful. Takes great selfies and has its own editing pack that automatically "fixes flaws". Very fun. The S-Note feature has been upgraded, but honestly, I wouldn't know what's been changed since the 3 or 4, I just know is easier to work with now. Nice feature is that you can instantly take memos from the lock screen, with a nice little pencil on paper sound to go with it. Voice control and dictation is still above par, easily one of the best experiences I've had. Call quality is flawless, even my 2 had things to learn with that. This is spectacular. Even on speaker phone. Themes. Yes. Awesome. All in all, I'm thrilled, and I'm glad my hesitation was all for naught. If you're considering it, do it. It will completely impress you.

great price, but very different from Note II
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good deal, features are quite different from Note II. Sound quirky things about it that I don't like, but for $99 I guess it's ok.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from a Note 3 and this Note 5 is harder to navigate and it has a broken camera lens even with the Otterbox defender on it. Wish I would have gone with the Note 4 instead

Charging is a challenge
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If the phone is dead you'd better have the factory charger nearby, otherwise your in trouble. Otherwise same as the note 3.

Note 3 was better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed....I feel the Note 3 had better features and services. I'm still with Verizon wireless....however, even though it says i'm connected to a wifi network... I constantly have to go on and resign even if one I used before (work) and at home. Also having trouble opening in new tabs..... I wish I would have kept the note 3....

Awesome phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded from Note II to the Note 5 and its been awesome. The camera is crystal clear and the features that it includes mirrors the iPhone. Battery life is extended so that's a plus. The only negative thing I have to say about this phone is the memory you cannot increase it, there is no micro SD slot.
