I was needing a new phone. The Galaxy S5, while it did great, needed to be replaced after it made a mortal enemy with a slab of concrete and cracked the screen. Needless to say, the Note 5 made alot of things easier. Simply pulling the pen out while the phone is resting will pull up the note pad, allowing you to take quick notes on things. This was useful for making notes on what I need, from items I need from the store, to reminding me what I need to accomplish at work. Working with the Microsoft Word app, I was able to make notes for school while on break and on the go. I dont need to bring a laptop or be confined to a desktop thanks to the Cloud save feature. Its higher specs also allow for some gaming as well. So far, no issues and its battery life lasts a long while. About a good 10-12 hours with use. A lot longer if you just want to use it for a phone. Overall, great product.

Great phone, screen is big & vibrant, smaller than the iphone6+ but screen is bigger both ways, s pen is cool the spring loaded design is cool but I forsee future failure with it, camera is outstanding like no other I've seen before, even at full zoom images still come iut clear as day. Very user friendly! I got lucky enough to have Samsung reps there during my time of purchase & they showed me tons of stuff the phone has to offer & not to fault them but a credit to the phone is I'm finding new & cool things each day about my Samsung Galaxy Note5

Best smartphone, in terms of style, new built in battery & memory. Great processor with quadcore, very good in multi-tasking. Camera is amazing, with stylus, made it more productive and resourceful. Overall number 1 smartphone for 2015.

I know it's new but this is the best phone I've ever had. It has a great, state of the art camera that takes beautiful pictures. One of the reasons I bought this phone is the screen size, but I didn't realize the clarity of it and all the optional things that the S-pen offers as well. It connects to my Samsung tv seamlessly as well as my wife's tablet(galaxy tab A). It's very fast doing basically everything, definitely a couple steps up compared to the HTC ONE M8 that I used to have. I'm very happy with it, bought my mom one for Christmas and recommend it to anyone and everyone who's considering getting a new phone or using an upgrade!

I was skeptical at first but i am glad i got it. The screen is beautiful the s pen is better and the speed is great. True no sd card but i don't use that much space anyway and they offer 100gb backup with a samsung acct. Im in love!!

It has taken a little getting used to some things on the Note 5 after using my Galaxy 4. Not as many buttons and there are little differences in the virtual keyboard. The camera is excellent, but again took a little getting used to. Whereas my S4 would focus when you held your finger on the 'shutter' button, the Note 5 will take pictures as long as you hold your finger on the button. (there may be a setting for this, but it came this way) Focus is automatic and quick. Nighttime focusing was much quicker than on my S4. Battery life was originally great. I recently put a couple apps on and now the battery life has decreased. I don't find anywhere on the phone that gives a warning if an app is using a lot of power. When I was in a area that was without phone service the battery drained rather quickly unless I shut the phone off. I had instances where one bar would appear and then disappear and I was unable to call or text. In the same area, my wife was able to text with her Moto-X. (she couldn't call or use data though) The wireless charging is great. I tried at first to charge with the phone turned off and it didn't work. BUT...I found that I didn't have the phone sitting on the charger in the proper place and it DOES charge while the phone is off. The wifi calling is a nice feature. I tried it while on a long weekend trip. First hotel had so-so wifi and it worked fine to make a quick call. The next 2 nights were no-go. Maybe it would have worked okay at a different time of day but not during the evening hours. Was a little bummed to be out of touch while I was in an area that didn't have phone service. Was hoping to be able to be able to check up on my elderly mother each evening. I have been experimenting with the S-voice in the last few days. I like it so far. I like that I can use to send a text or activate the camera while my phone is still locked. I had to rename some of my contacts though. It has problems recognizing the difference in names such as Joe and Jill. (I know---it's probably my pronunciation) I haven't actually used the pen other than to make a couple quick notes to myself for later reference. I plan on exploring it's capability. I was originally worried that the pen may want to fall out and get lost. I got an otterbox for my phone right away. The pen clicks in and the otterbox protects it from being pushed inadvertently. This seems to be much better than using friction to keep it in place. This is definitely a step up from my S4. If you like a larger phone I would definitely recommend it. I have never had an iphone so I cannot compare it to an iphone.

I read all of the reviews before I purchased, but the 32GB didn't bother me as I keep all of my music and photo's in the cloud already. I don't care about the battery accessibility either because I like having wireless charging ability (and certainly enjoyed getting the free wireless charger from BestBuy). The camera is definitely upgraded, and I saw an immediate clarity in the phones screen from my Note 3 Screen. The phone it beautiful, sleek, and does it all! I couldn't ask for a better phone! Thanks Samsung, this is not a fail, will definitely recommend to all of my friends!

I finally had to upgrade from my Note 2 which I had for 3 years. The new Note 5 is so much faster. I love the new design although it does feel a bit slick in your hand. I constantly feel like the phone is going to slip out of my hand. The camera takes great pictures and the new S-pen features are nice, especially the ability to take notes on the blank screen when the pen is removed. My only regret was not purchasing a case at the time I purchased the phone. Best buy was out of most of the Note 5 cases at the time.

Coming from a Note 4 with removable battery and expandable storage via sd card, I did not think I would like theNote 5 very much. I am actually loving the Note 5. The overall design and build quality is great. It feels solid in my hand when holding it. A little slippery without a case though but mostly use a case with it. Battery life has been great. Love the fast charge and fast wireless charging too. Purchased the Samsung wireless charger with it. The camera on it is awesome! Taking video on it is also great. The new design of theS Pen is good as well. This is a great productivity and multi-tasking smartphone.

I waited for this phone to come out and I could not be more pleased with its performance. The size is great and the display is killer, also the speed of the proccessor when multitasking makes it really shine. The 16 megapixel camera does a great job and the speed shooting mode is unreal as it kicks out a bunch of photos... The fastest I'd ever seen. The only drawback is that Samsung followed the Apple crowd with the no battery acces and lack of memory card upgrade. Hate that... Overall the Note 5 Is a very nice device that stands on its own in performance and value.

I had a Galaxy S3 previously and it was time to upgrade, and I wanted a phone with a great camera! This phone's camera has a lot of amazing features including the Live Broadcasting that links to your Twitter/Periscope account. Also got it because of the stylus pen...I love drawing and doodling and sending stuff to friends, so that is easy w/ this phone....no complaints so far, only had it 1 month. Oh, and battery life and fast charging are above expectations!

First off let me start by saying what an amazing deal I got this for ($49). $200 off is a no-brainer when it comes to the note 5, it is an amazing phone. The build quality is superb, especially coming from the note 3, which housed some fake leather back and cheap side plastics to try and make it feel like a premium phone. The glass back and metal frame just feels upscale on your hands, also thanks to the rounded sides which makes this phone feel smaller. 2 things that stood out right away were the insane amount of fingerprints this thing can handle and how slippery it is, so first thing on the agenda was a phone case. The S-pen now has this springy top to it which has a satisfying but addictive clicking to it. The camera is another area where this phone competes for the top spot if it isn't the top camera already, it is that good. The 16mp and awesome F1/2 aperture create some amazing pictures to be seen on the gorgeous 5.7 quadHD AMOLED screen. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, now I just have to figure out what to spend the extra $200 that I saved buying this phone.

Look no further for the perfect phone. High resolution screen, VERY user friendly, fantastic camera, tons of video recording options. If you thought you never needed a stylus, you are just like me, until you start using it and you can't live without it. Don't be intimidated by the size. It's only about a half inch bigger than the galaxy 26th and you get used to it super fast

So I've had this phone for a week now! Haven't had long enough time to give full review so that is why I put 4 stars. So far so good! I have always had Samsung phones for almost 10 yrs now. So I am a big Saumsung fan! Only downside that almost changed my mind about this phone is you can't add SD card but it has a pretty good memory installed already! Love the size and the pen...I love my phone! Ohhh & battery life is really good! I would recommend!

I've had the Note 5 for little over two months. Good battery life. Great looking screen. Fast response to commands. Nice built in apps. Speakers are ok (comparing to HTC One front facing speakers). Major step up from the HTC One overall.

Faster than my note 4. Clean design solid feel to it. Not cheap and plastic like. Dont like you cant expand the memory or it cost so much to get more memory included. Pictue quality is awesome and watching videos is the best. Waiting for my smasung VR so i can take full advantage of all the technology

Moved up from a Galaxy S4 to the note was not much difference but nicer due to the size. I didn't think I would use the stylus but it is very convenient when online. Takes great pictures and video too. No expandable storage and you can't take off the back of the phone though. Overall, very pleased.

I have had the galaxies for years now and have decided to try out the note just for the bigger screen and I am absolutely glad I did. The camera is great and I just love the note feature with the stylus. I have had no problems with this phone and would recommend it to friends and family.
