I was very excited to purchase this phone that I took my mom to get one also. We both love the ease of using after transitioning from Galaxy S4 & S5. The camera is.spectacular. she enjoys the stylus being attached most. And I love the S Note Pad. And how easy it is,to navigate.I don't believe I will be getting another phone for years to come. To me it was,the "best buy" of the century. Not to mention and the, most affordable the cost was, next to nothing for me in getting the best buy deal of the day.

I had the note 2 and note 3, but his is broken far the sleekest, fastest, lightest, and smallest dimensions wise note to date. I don't really care about removable battery or SD card so those were not deal breakers for me.

My friends ask me why did I buy a phone this big. But I'm so used to watching movies, my favorite programs as well doing my banking transactions on my Galaxy note 5.......that I can't imagine going to a smaller screen.

Beautiful camera front and back. I love the addition of fingerprint security lock without swiping. The 2 major drawbacks is the inability to expand the memory with a SD card and the non removable battery. I have always extended the life of my phone by getting a new battery after the first year and that won't be possible with this phone.

We bought this phone for our 17 year old son as an upgrade from the HTC One (M7). He absolute loves this phone. He is actually able to use the stylus to create drawings! Quick loading apps, doesn't try his patience.

There aren't many reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Note5, but I have to say that I mostly agree with what has been written in it's short release time. I ordered the Note5 one week ago, August 14 and received it on the 18th. So, I have had a few days to play around with it. I have had the Note 3, 4 and now the 5, so I know a little about the Note Series.
First of all, I initially agreed with what others are said/are saying about the lost of the micro SD card- it sucks. However, I also noticed that without having to load my gallery with hundreds of photos on the external cards, the phone is super fast, which I find to be a major upgrade from where it's predecessor was. I love the double tap to launch the camera. This is an awesome, and in my opinion, a much needed upgrade for a flagship phablet. Anyone who has had an iPhone understands what I mean.
I would suggest trying out the wireless charger, I feel like Samsung has either updated the internals of the phone or the charger itself (I presume it's the former). Why? Because I owned the wireless charger for a while when I had the S6 Edge and it would stop charging after it reached a 100%. That meant, that there were mornings that I would get up and grab my phone only to have it at less than 100%. In my short time with the charger and Note5, this has not happened. Each morning, I wake up with a 100% charge.
Overall, I like the phone. Let's recap:
I like the quick double-tapping of the home button to launch the camera. I like it's thin profile and metal body.
I like that it fits comfortably in one hand.
It wasn't broken, but I do like the spring release of the S-Pen. However, if they would have kept the same design, I would not have minded.
I like the lighter Touch Wiz overlay- it seems faster and less bloated.
The phone is not perfect (personally). I would like for Samsung to bring back some of the features that make them who they are and have defined them over the years, like waving your hand to wake your phone or even sharing content with other galaxy phone users by bumping your phone. You may be able to do these and I not know it, so if you can still do these, please let me know.

Great phone! I love that I can sign documents on the phone directly instead of having to find a printer to print, sign, scan and email. I can just sign and send!

Samsung Pay is pretty cool. Fast phone. Battery could be bigger. I wish Samsung would stop trying to copy iPhone aesthetics. Note users want powerful phones, large swappable batteries, removable storage, durable connection ports, and large screens with stylus. I like the phone, but miss features that should have been included.

I had the note 2 for over 2 years. Started working slowly and crashing so I went I bought the Note 5. Works well great new features. Camera is great and the pen/stylus is awesome. Had to get the 64G so I don't run out of memory. Samsung have done away from allowing consumers to expand memory. Also can't change battery if need to. Not a deal breaker- just though worth mentioning.

I have had the Note phones since the Note2! And every time I get the new model I fall in love even more with the Note line of phones! I definitely recommend the Note5 to anyone who is looking for a phablet! You won't get anything better. Not only is the phone amazing, but Best Buy was extremely helpful with the purchase of my phone! I recommend buying from Best Buy if you're looking to purchase a new phone!

I am finding this phone surprisingly great. I was very disappointed with Samsung to be a sheep and follow designs of the iPhone products with regard to no user replaceable battery or micro SD card slot. Phones rapidly fill with apps and their updates or video and photos unless you really are diligent in offloading to another storage through computer. The verdict is still out on these 2 features that I like and want to have not available on this model.
The processing speed is good but minimally noticeable over my previous galaxy S 4. I like the camera resolution tremendously. It takes an out standing picture even in an otterbox defender case front or back camera.
Overall, i am pleased with the note 5. I still however would love to see the return of the replaceable features mentioned above. If i want an iphone clone, i WILL buy an iphone!

The Note 5

Compared to the Note 7 which is smaller in width I went to the note 5 because it is tested to work. The Note 7 screen is smaller in width which I can't use. Big Hands... It like have the Samsung 6 edge. almost the same size...Which is good but the Note 5 has the pen which I like to use. It easier to operate. Note the Note 7 has more feature but do you really need it? Save your money and get the note 5. So much easier to operate. Other friends of mine had the Note 5 then went to I phone 6 plus. Which in time have told me that was a big mistake. So he going back to the Note 5 which he still owns. So do what you want, but having more options are not going to help you. Just confuse you.

I went from a Note 3 to the 5, its much faster and works a lot better. You can't take the battery out like the older models but its not a big deal. I would choose this over the iPhone 6 Plus.

This is by far the best phone I've had. Sincertainly I started using smart phones I've been an loyal Samsung customer. Very user friendly, not to big to hold but great for watching videos.
