This phone is definitely an upgrade from my old galaxy note 2. It's much faster and the picture quality is superb. Many of the features have changed just very slightly, but it's all for the better - just takes a short time to get used to the change. One of my concerns was that there is no external card, but actually I think it's better because you don't have to search for where your stuff is or flip flop things around - it's all in one place and almost everything is available to be backed up online so you can transfer easily. My other concern was that there is no removable battery, but there is a reset button and the phone is under warrantee to return of the battery should wear out, which I'm told the battery has been greatly improved. So you don't have to worry about buying another battery. The phone is definitely awesome and I would really recommend it. Love it!

Great speed, camera, functionality, screen size and size of the phone itself. Upgraded from the Note2. Only issue is the battery life is just slightly above average. Not being able to add an SD card. I purchased the 64 gb for this reason.

This phone is great. Beautiful big screen, very fast, great camera, decent battery life. I was worried it would be too big when I first got it. I quickly got used to the size when holding the phone in my hand. It still feels big when the phone is in my pocket though, but that's not a big deal.

I can't say enough good things about this stellar handset from Samsung so I'll try to hit the high notes: Fantastic Screen. Seriously the best there is, the colors and clarity are unrivaled Lightning fast and great camera in almost all light conditions. The ability to double tap home button for instant camera is awesome. Though the phone is large, go to the store, hold it in your hands and you'll be amazed how trim Samsung has made this feel. Fast Charge blows me away how quick the phone can charge from 0 to 100. I plug it up in the morning before work and it's always full before I head out the door. Has wireless charging capabilities baked in too so no adapters need, just a wireless charging pad. Oh yeah, and the secret hidden gem of this phone as if all the other bits of awesome didn't grab your attention. Samsung Pay The ability to store your credit/debit card in a quick fingerprint or pin code protected app and pay not only at Near Field Communication terminals but good old swipe a card terminals is a show stopper. I've used it by just holding the phone up to a magnetic swipe card reader and it works....next, the employees jaw always drops and says, how did it do that. Samsung is the only company with Magnetic Secure Transmission which makes Samsung Pay rival Android and Apple Pay combined. Seriously, stop reading and go buy one!

Absolutely love the pen, great for grocery and Christmas lists. Pictures are super clear as well and phone is overall fast. Love the size too, larger screen allows you to see more web page and email with less scrolling.

I made the switch to the note 5 from my S4 on launch day. What a fantastic decision. Everything I have thrown at this device it can handle. The speed of the thing is rather impressive, the screen is beautiful, and the camera is better than expected. I understand the gripe about a non removable battery or micro SD slot. Those were features I rather enjoyed about my S4, but I did not think a lack of them would be a deal breaker for the note 5. If those are the reasons you don't want to buy this phone so be it. There are plenty of other options on the market to fit your needs.

I was in desperate need of a new phone. My 4 year old Samsung Galaxy nexus was pretty dead. I follow all the news and rumors online about new phones coming out. I was waiting for the Note 5 ever since I found out the S6 had a sealed battery and no memory card slot. When I found out the Note 5 was going to be the same way, I immediately started looking for other phones. I decided on the LG G4. I was still holding out hope that the rumors were wrong about note 5. Once Samsung confirmed their stupid decision, i went to the store to play with the g4 one more time before buying it. Once at the store I saw the Note 5 was on display before it was even available. Once I picked up the note 5 and started playing with it, and talked to one of the reps there, I was sold on the note 5. I paid a deposit to pre-order order this $800 beast, which was about $300 more than the g4. The note 5 just felt better, in terms of software. For me, it just felt right. I read about some things the G4 was having problems with, like the screen not recognizing touch and a couple other things. As upset as I was that Samsung took away two things I had wanted (replaceable battery and SD card), I made a list of about 13 things that I wanted in a phone. Samsung note 5 covered everything but those two. The G4 only checked 7 of the 13 specs on my list. Overall, Samsung is the better phone even though they angered a lot of their fans who expected those two "lost" features. There is no better camera on a phone. Everyone who sees my pictures comments on how good they are. There is no better processor out there. This phone is lightning quick. Im sure the g4 is a good phone but, i like all the things the samsung does and the features it has. Im still bummed about the battery though. It'll be interesting to see how long this sealed battery will last before it starts losing charge capacity. Hopefully when it needs to be taken in to replace the battery, there will be larger capacity batteries available by then.

This is a great device, and I've enjoyed it immensely. The body to screen ratio allows for easier one-handed operation despite it being large. The software is streamlined and helpful. The processor is amazing and stands up to multitasking and graphic intense gaming nicely. The only thing that's just plain odd is the storage. Yes 64gb is more than enough for most, but even the S6 and S6 Edge have 128gb options, plus no tray for micro SD storage expansion. The unibody (all glass/metal one piece) excuse doesn't fly because HTC figured it out 2 generations of phones ago. However, the display is marvelous, bright and detailed. The single bottom mounted speaker is just ok, but that's just because it is one and on the bottom. The camera is ridiculously amazing as well. All in all this is almost the perfect current generation phone!

Went from S4 to the Note 5. Screen The thing I noticed first was the crisp clear screen. It makes print so much easier to read. Battery For how large the screen is the battery last so much longer than I expected. It will go a whole day. Charge Time Fast, fast, fast. A couple of hours does it. Processing Super Fast. Response time is instantaneous Size Although much bigger than my old S4 it isn't too big. Camera Responsive and accurate. Video starts immediately. Stylus Works great. I use it about 5% of the time. No regrets. Love it all. Bought a case for it to protect the glass.

I previously had the Samsung S5,and loved it. But I was up for an upgrade, so I started looking at new phones. After reading tons of reviews, it came down to the S6 Edge, LG v10, the note 5, or just waiting for the S7. While all had great reviews, I decided on the Note 5, and I'm glad i did. This thing is awesome. The camera is great (way better than the s5), the screen resolution is amazing, the battery is decent, and the s-pen is fantastic...Took a while to learn all the cool tricks with the pen. Needless to say, I'm a huge fan, and happy with my choice.

I have always love Samsung phones especial the galaxy type phones. The Note 5 is incredible with the processing power and ease of use. The screen outstanding. Like the Note 4 the stylus is a great feature especially with the ability to use it with out having to pull the phone out of standby and it does it once you pull the stylus out. I just hope they have the same ability as the Note 4 with the virtual reality goggles soon.

This is an awesome phone. The stylus comes in handy when taking quick notes. The fingerprint reader is great for quickly opening the phone. The shortcut to the camera helps when taking pictures. The phone has good batter life as I get about two days of life out of a full charge. I still wish it had an expandable SD card slot.

Love my new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - Fast!!! Was worried about battery and storage - No Problems. I am able to run several programs for 4 to 5 hours, and I have had no problems with the battery lasting. And there's still battery left for the rest of the day!! Storage is not a problem, but sorry I had to pay so much for the 64 GB. The s-pen from lock screen is awesome!! And did I say FAST!!

Went in looking at the S6 edge plus, but decided to give the note a try. I was not disappointed, it is fast and battery life is great. S Pen is what sold it. Very convenient when I need to make a quick note and all you have to do is pull out the pen and write no turning on the screen and entering password.

I bought this phone as a replacement for a Galaxy S4, which I really liked. I am particularly impressed by the S-Pen and the larger screen than I had before. It seems to respond very quickly, and it has an excellent resolution. I particularly like using the S-Health app. All-in-all, it appears to be a top notch phone that meets all of my mobile phone needs.

I am partial to large stylus phones. I take lots of photos at kids sporting events using an SLR camera. After they are on a share site, showing parents the photos on my old iPhone was unsatisfactory. I changed the the galaxy note 2. Huge difference. It was like looking at a slide show of 3x5 pictures. My next phone was the note 5... it is very nice, same length but not as wide. (The screen is the same though) Make sure your service provider uses the default app that transfers your backup to the new phone. I had to do a factory reset to get back to the app. Once done, I had most of my old phone's apps transferred. The NFC function transferred all the others manually. The flashlight is in the pull down menu but not by default. You have to touch the pencil (edit button) to choose the 5 to 10 functions you want in the pull down menu. Its not a widget anymore. The left soft button is different than the other notes. It took a day to get used to it but now I like it. I use the stylus all the time. You can write on the phone when it's off. Taking notes, writing a name or number, drawing a sketch is so fast. I'm still learning all the uses for the stylus. Bottom line. The note 5 is a great phone.

I'm very impressed with this phone. This is the first Android phone of the many I've owned that isn't rooted. Samsung has made most of the things I used to root to get available from the factory. It's fast. The screen is beautiful. The camera takes beautiful pictures and the camera software includes a "Pro" setting giving you extra control in the few instances where the auto mode isn't optimal.

I have owned the note 3, note 4, now note 5. gets better every time, although the IR blaster is gone I never used it on the note 4 after the first week, so no loss there. Battery life holds up well, multi tasking wow, no lag time, absolute control of devise, I have up to 9 favorite short cuts I can use, comes in handy so I do not need to scroll through the settings so darn much. works seamlessly with my vehicles, more options are accessible on the vehicle. double clicking on the finger print button, awesome, this brings up the camera & all a say is smile, Walla picture taken. same for the pen, pull it out take quick notes, saved. no more unlocking the screen. This makes capturing & writing things down very quick. (quick control one the fly).

I know a lot of people are already hating on this phone before it was even released, but after only a few days, I'm really glad I bought this instead of a Note 4. The feel of the phone, the responsiveness, the feel of the S-Pen, it's all amazing. Yeah, I lost some storage space switching over from my Note 3, but it's managable. As for the battery, I haven't had any issues with the battery not lasting a full day, but if I go crazy, I'll still have quick charge so a non-removable batter is irrelevant.
