I upgraded to S20 FE from Galaxy S7.
Performance is great with Snapdragon 865 n 6Gb RAM
Software n UI is improved lot in Samsung`s OneUI
Camera Quality is nice with 3x optical zoom and night view
400 ppi display was a concern to me but I dint see much difference from 500 ppi of S7 but 120 Hz compensated well with speed.
Blue Matte finish with Bazelless build looks great
3 years of OS Upgrades are promised as well
4500 mah battery gives enough juice
Competitive Pricing

Not sure about the durability of Gorilla glass 3. I will get a good protector
Samsung got most of the things rite in this phone.

I ordered this phone after having a Samsung Galaxy S7. I guess I didn't read the size good enough, because this phone was much bigger than I expected and it didn't/doesn't fit in my hands well. I had upgraded my S7 because it was only a 32GB and was running slow. The S20 does go pretty fast speed-wise, and I have it in a 128GB so I'm happy that I have more space for apps and other storage. However, I just wish I would have read the size closer. It is OK if you want a slightly bigger phone, but it wasn't what I was going for. Due to COVID, I wasn't able to get in the store and actually feel it out in my hands so I had ordered it when on sale and although I saved some money, I wish I could have handled the phone first.

Here are my first impressions after having the phone for three days.
Pros
- Nice camera. It's not professional grade, but for the average consumer, it's great.
- Widgets! This is my first time using a android device, and I still have a lot to learn about the OS, but so far I've really enjoyed being able to customize the screen with various widgets.
Cons
-The finger print reader could be better. It requires a second scan about 1/3 of the time
-Not a quality speaker for music. This isn't a problem if you plan on listening to music with your headphones, (Bluetooth, as there is no audio jack), but if you like to Jam with your friends you should get a separate Bluetooth speaker.
-Too big for hands and pockets.
Additional Notes
- Bixby vs Google Assistant. Similar to Siri, Bixby and Google Assistant allow you to search things and access various phone features by voice, such as adding an event to your google calendar in a single sentence. However, they work in very different ways and having two options is confusing.
Bixby is optimized to work with Samsung/Microsoft features, and will only work with pre-made 'capsules', like Netflix or Spotify. For example, if I say 'Play the Duck Tales theme song', Bixby asks me to add a Spotify account and will not play my music from YouTube Music or Apple Music.
Google Assistant operates more like Google. It has better search functions and will play music from any app I ask. However, Google Assistant and Bixby have different apps for their reminders, and when I add a reminder using Google Assistant it does not add it to the Samsung 'Reminders' widgets.
It is nice to have options, but it feels like Samsung, Microsoft, and Google are all fighting for your attention on the same device.

What allured me to the S20 FE was the high refresh panel, the known quality of Samsung's Cameras and the price.
Holding the phone in hand that 120hz screen really helps it feel fluid and snappy, the under screen fingerprint sensor is among the best I have used, and as far as the UI goes, I think Samsung has cleaned up their act since the days of the S5-7 days where it was a but more messy, this gives a feel of the stock Android UI but with plenty of Samsung flair.
There has been zero complaints from my end for this device, does everything I want it too and does it well, I can readily reccomend this phone at its $599 price.

This phone is a fairly cheaper than the flagship S20 phone, but is surprisingly very similar and I fell that it is a very good deal in comparison.
I like that it has a hi-refresh rate big screen and a good camera system. It also has the 5G phone capability, and is dust and water proof to an IP68 rating!
The battery usually lasts me about 1.5 days, but I admit that I don't usually do any gaming or other heavy usage on it.
Overall there's a lot to like and at a great price.

FLAGSHIP ON A BUDGET

My old phone was an iPhone 6s and by the generation, you can tell I was in the need of a new phone. I contemplated the pixel 4a between the iPhone SE because I am on a budget and did not desire high specs. Long story short the Pixel 4a was back-ordered and canceled so I did more searching and discovered the Galaxy FE. It has an attractive price with the specs of a flagship phone. After researching other phones I knew it was worth it to shovel out an extra $200 to get this phone. Not to mention, it is already on sale for $150 off! This is my first android phone and here are my first impressions:
1. Extremely customizable, make it functional to your liking. One of my favorite features is reducing the screen size to reach all buttons with one hand.
2. The screen is big, which makes watching videos and playing games more immersive and enjoyable.
3. The picture quality is amazing. You have various modes to capture the right picture. The night mode is especially good. It does a good job and brightening dark areas without over saturating.
4. The OLED screen is crisp. Also, the 120Hz refresh rate makes navigating through the phone smooth and seamless.
5. The sound quality is surprisingly good. It has Dolby Atmos, which boosts sound quality and clarity.
These are just my first impressions. But this phone is probably the best phone for the money.

Excellent choice for flagship specs and midrange pricing. I purchased 2, FE 5G phones about 3 months ago.
The slim design provides large screen space without the large hand requirements of other phones.
The screen is gorilla glass 3 so it's pretty brittle if you're used to your phone surviving falls (buy a case)
The screen itself being UHD 120hz makes every action buttery smooth (I'm not going back)
The matte plastic back of the phone provides more grip and fingerprint resistance than other glass sandwiches
The camera versatility is unmatched considering the amount of features samsung packs in. The quality (with generous light) is great, yet seems to fall apart in any light less than ideal (image noise, compression). The night mode makes up for that if you're willing to take a longer shot.
Well worth the money if on a budget
9.0/10
Pros: flagship specs, satisfying build quality, industry leading screen/ image quality, all day battery
Cons: screen strength, low light performance.
Suggestions: could wait for S21 FE for updated specs/ design if you're curious.

Even having owned previous galaxies the S20 Fe is instantly noticeable as special, the camera is amazing, the speed and refresh rate of the screen will make older phones feel ancient and the price is that of a mid tier phone. Simply a flagship phone for a few hundred less in price

Great value and super fast, smooth great for gaming. This is a gorgeous flagship smartphone even 3 years later I'd still recommend this device! Cameras are phenomenal with 10x OPTICAL zoom (rather than fake digital lol) so you can't go wrong with this super fast device!

Upgraded from a 1.25 year old mid-range phone and so far so good. Certain web-sites that play videos now run noticeably faster and smoother, so the 6 GB of RAM and CPU is worth the premium. Camera image quality is also very good, clear, and responsive. Even though there is only one visible speaker vent/grill, the audio output from earphone and speaker are excellent. Android 10 sucks - formatting microSD as internal memory is not available, but the phone has 128 GB so it's not a deal breaker and you'll need to be somewhat current on Android otherwise you run the risk of app compatibility. Screen is .02" larger than previous phone I had, so no major change for me here, though the screen is taller and narrower and AMOLED is brightness range is slightly higher. Plastic shell instead of aluminum or tin feels cheap, but the phone has weight to make it feel substantial. The black dot for the camera in the screen is very goofy, but it's the trend.
Comment by reviewer saying no microSD slot is false, the tray is two-sided to insert the SIM on one side and the microSD on the other.

The first issue I have with this phone is the fingerprint reader on the front glass display. I have to press and hold for much longer than I want and most of the time I have to make multiple attempts. It's super frustrating. My other galaxy had a metal plate on the back which was instant and flawless to get access to my cell. This finger print access alone on this phone makes me want to throw it across the room. In an emergency/hurry, I need to get into my phone and passed the password faster than this. Sometimes I have to bypass and just use pin because it's such a pain.
This phone holds a good charge. The display is vivid. There are plenty of cool features, most of which I don't even use yet. You'll want to download an app for ringtones because the ones that come with the phone are mostly annoying. This phone has a little weight too it, but nothing crazy. I keep a lightweight jelly like case on it to display how pretty the phone color is. I have a screen protector on it as well. This contributes to the weight. So far I haven't had any major issues. Speech to text is foolish, and I speak perfectly clear English, no accent. Oddly enough, when using speech to text through my car connected to phone, works nearly perfect. This leads me to believe that the issue is the phone mic and not the feature itself.
The keyboard is pretty much the same as all previous Galaxy phones. It needs a lot of work, but does the job I guess. I have some other complaints but nothing to really get into.
Overall the phone performs well. The camera is decent. Video is ok with bright lighting.

I rate phones based on their sound quality, camera, and battery life.
Battery Life:
It can last roughly 4-6 hours on 100%. It takes 30-45 minutes for a full charge.
Camera Quality:
Nice overall but somewhat expected more but worth it.
Sound Quality:
If you play music all day, this phone works very well. I play music throughout the night in my sleep and the sound is just perfect quality.
Phone call quality:
People are not able to hear the background noise such as traffic or slightly loud noises. According to who I've called the sound quality is high there's no distortions. If there is its probably bad connection on either side of the call.
