Samsung flagship series phones are always great and this one doesn't disappoint. Exceptional speed, great cellular reception, good camera, perfect size of you want something that will easily fit in any pocket. I have a hard phone case on this for added protection, but it's a sturdy phone with gorilla glass. Call quality and clarity is fantastic. There seems to be a lot of programs running in the background which means heavy use of the phone brings the battery life down to 12 hours. Heavy use would be streaming, gaming or web browsing non-stop. If used every few hours for these things it will last all day, but still would be nice to have more battery life. Standby time is greater than 24hr.

I bought the S22 because of the compact size. I will start with the negatives because they need to be noted. Battery life and speaker are sub par. I occasionally get crackling when listening to music or speaking to people on the phone which is a known issue for this phone. I expected the battery life to be sub par because I read reviews but it really is pretty bad. I am getting about 5 hours or 5.5 hours of on screen time and my old S9 got me about 9 hours which wasn't great but acceptable. The phone is fast and receptive but honestly about the same as my old S9 during my speed check which was a shocker. The S22 is harder to hold compared to my S9 which has a more modern curved screen and not quite as wide. I would prefer the phone to be longer but less wide and clunky because it is easier to hold. I have small hands and early on set arthtitis. I also prefered the shape of the S9 which has made me consider upgrading to the S22+ which is a little longer but less wide so it would probably be easier to hold and the battery is slightly better too but I'm not sure if it warrants the $200 price increase. Honestly the issues leaves a lot to be desired for the cost. I also feel like the screen just feels more fragile. Camera advancements are the biggest benefit. The speaker is louder then my old phone but quality of the speakers aren't great. I was expecting more advancements in technology. This being said, the camera is pretty amazing. Portrait mode can be a hit or miss but for the most part the camera is soooo great. I love it so much, I may just keep the phone and deal with the negatives but I haven't decided. Photography is important to me and I think most could agree that Samsung did a great job here. The 3x optical zoom is great and I've been able to zoom in at 10-20x and get decent pictures and that is impressive. Video stabilization is great but video's at 3x zoom can be a hit or miss depending on the lightning. The camera can be improved in some areas but for the most part I'm impressed. I'm also getting more stable images with moving objects compared to my old phone. I actuality feel like the S9 took really great photos and in some ways is still better then the S22 but with so many advancements with the optical zoom feature and the front facing camera is also a lot better then my old phone. I feel like you really can get very close to dslr images with the S22 but It's just a small step up from 3-5 year old phones. The phone charges super fast which is definitely needed so this is another benefit. In all fairness if you have an S8-S9 I would wait to switch. The price doesn't warrant the upgrade but this is just my personal opinion. The biggest benefit is the camera and I'm just not sure that It's worthy of upgrading. As a matter of fact when I'm at home using wifi I still pick up my old S9 to stream social media because it just feels better in hand to hold. Definitely more comfortable to hold and part of this may be the clunker of a case so I may try and switch this out. I remember when the S1 came out and it was such a huge advancement in technology but honestly we haven't had that many advancements in the past 10 years. This is a great phone all in all but for the price, I was just expecting a little more. 3.5-4 stars but I will rate 4 stars. So far, I haven't seen any major issues but the ones I've experienced are a little annoying. In some ways I regret buying and in some ways I enjoy the phone, mostly for the camera. I haven't quite decided if I am going to exchange it for another phone. I will add some photos I've taken with the phone and let you decide.

got excited with the phone at the begging, flat screen, 120haz refresh, 1300 nits, snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and 256 GB storage, this is a monster phone on paper, photos are beautiful, and the screen is big a bright with a little punch hole on the top. but the love ended quickly with that battery duration, in less than 6 hours my phone goes from 100 to 5%, and battery life is horrible, I have basically been carrying a battery bank everywhere I go, as I ran out of battery pretty fast, I have 2 SIMS attached to it, I have turned off the 120hz, basically all the notifications, the always-on display, Bluetooth, NFC, and barely improved 15-20% the battery life, definitely I will get rid of this phone as soon as i have some budget.

The display, battery life, and photo quality are great, but I'm not satisfied with navigating the apps and the settings. It is confusing and not intuitive to me. It's not very easy to save passwords how you intend to. I find Apple iphones to be superior in this regard. When considering features and pricepoints, I would choose Apple if I had to do it over again. Not a bad phone at all though.

Wonderful device loved it. Display is very nice and very easy to handle.

Phone is pretty decent but I still can't get past all the Samsung bloatware. Android is usually a fast operating system but with all the added Samsung features it feels sluggish at times. Phone hardware is really high end however and the camera is great.

This is my wife's 5th galaxy phone. We buy things our texh in pairs. Therefore, this is our 10th Galaxy phone we owned. Fantastic update. We dont buy the newest phone out to skip the bugs! Great phone, camera is Fantasic! (See pix while going 80mph in a Ford Mustang convertible!)

The last phone I had before this was he galaxy s10. I was tired of paying for the installment prices on my phone and decided to buy this unlocked device. In comparison of my old device It runs pretty smooth, nice size and camera.

It's a great phone. Some of the default Samsung apps are really good ( for example notes). It looks nice too. Plus the cameras are great.

love the color.. I upgraded from the S10. The camera is great besides that I don't see much of a difference. I had to disable the 5G. It was just horrible to function with it on..

I like the photos and the simplicity of the phone.

love the phone esp the picture and video quality. The only downside to this phone is that the battery drain so fast and it gets warm too on the back of the phone.

Coming from S10e i prefer S10e. Battery life wasnt good on S22 and it got warm for no reason during normal use. I bought an open box excellent and it arrived with a deep scratch on the screen, some sticky stuff on the side of the phone. It was also missing the usb c cable which in the condition listed was supposed to include. Sent it back after testing for a few days and will keep using my S10e. S10e goes slow sometimes when multitasking and S22 was much faster but having 5 hrs battery life on the S22 is useless and doesnt have microSD slot or MST. Hoping Samsung will make another e variant someday as I dislike the huge screens now days S22 was great size. Dislike in screen finterprint reader as well. S10e fingerprint reader in power button is best. Tried Google Pixel 6a and it has too many bugs and lacks simplicity that Samsung has like Pixel keeps wanting pin after fingerprint unlock every 20th or so time.

After 2 years, it is still working great, I would highly recommend this product.

Great cellphone at great price. It was in excellent conditions and it was I expected

Nice phone. Actually it's an awesome phone, compact enough as it is considered comparable to a Galaxy S10e. However, it may not be a major upgrade from the S10e nor its predecessor Galaxy S21 or S21 FE, but it is a nice phone with a more premium look and a considerably upgraded camera. The S22 is very similar, almost identical, in it's physical size as the S10e; S22 146 x 70.6 x 7.6 mm vs S10e 142.2 x 69.9 x 7.9 mm. It has 256GB internal storage and 8GB RAM, just as the S10e 256GB variant, but no external storage, such as MicroSD, no 3.5mm headphone/audio jack, and no physical biometrics sensor. It does have a better, brighter display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1500 nits, and 19.5:9 screen ratio, though with 425 ppi. Screen size is 6.1 inches, which is smaller than the S22 (6.2") and S22 FE (6.4") but larger than the S10e (5.8"). Battery life seemed to be underperforming. Even though it's a bigger battery, battery life is slightly longer than the S10e's. More power consumption is partly due to the 120 Hz refresh rate screen. Its camera image quality is good overall. Good saturation though overexposure of images is present, such as more dynamic and vibrant colors where colors will look less natural, all of which is common with Samsung's cameras, especially with a lot of software assistance on the camera. Unlike the other variants (S22+, S22 Ultra), the S22 doesn't have WiFi 6e. Fast charger is sold separately. (No charger is included). For in-screen biometrics, Samsung did a great job on its ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Though not as perfect or as fast as a physical fingerprint sensor, it is well above the likes of an optical fingerprint sensor. Overall, a nice phone. Processing time seemed equivalent with the S10e, at times faster and slower than the S10e. It's still a nice phone. However, for some it may not be a major upgrade for those coming from previous Galaxy S series S10 and later, while for some others, it may. For me at least, if the S22 came onboard with either a larger internal storage, at least 512GB, or expendable storage microSD slot, it may have been a worthy upgrade, and 5 stars. Plus a physical biometrics sensor as its side power/lock button, would really be golden.
