Love this phone! Or rather, super computer and dslr camera for your pocket. Incredibly fast, I'm coming from a s9+ so this is a huge upgrade for me. I do miss the sd card slot and i wanted the 1TB model, but they were not available anywhere. I ended up with the 512gb. Its not bad. I have about 20% used. I have a few games and just about all the apps I need on it. Battery life is great for me. But as another person said, you just have to be careful and mindful or you can drain it quickly. There are a several little settings you can tweak to maximize the battery. Got the Galaxy watch 4 classic LTE model with the phone to upgrade from a gear s2 and wow. The watch 4 makes the s2 look like a calulator watch from back in the 1990s. Especially when it's paired with the s22 ultra! Now I'm just mad I did not wait to get the galaxy buds pro instead of the Airpod pros. Having the whole combo is like owning a team of all stars. I purchased the sandisk extreme small external ssd that is compatible with the s22 out of the box. I Use it for large file storage, photo shoots and 4k video. and other backups, but its awesome.

I am a big jump from Huawei Mate 9 and Galaxy S8+ to this awesome 6.8 inches phone. I love everything about this Galaxy S22 Ultra with S Pen except the SD card slot. I was hesitant to buy this big phone because of the SD card slot. After 4 months of using this phone, I'm okay with 512GB. But I still want SD card slot. Sorry.

I would give 6 stars if possible! There is a reason this was voted best phone of the year by almost everyone. Samsung has perfected the smartphone with the Galaxy S Series. If you want the best, here it is.

Purchased this during a sale for about $300 off to replace a 6+ year iPhone. I've had it for almost 3 years and it's still going strong with no major issues and very few minor issues. The pen works great, the screen's colors look amazing, and it runs any app like a champ. Also plenty of space for a podcast and file hoarder like me. Only issues I've had are some network connectivity ones, which are definitely annoying as I'll have to constantly reconnect to WiFi/Mobile networks and there are times where I can't connect to my car's Bluetooth. Resets and updates have mixed results in fixing/further breaking any of these.

I'm coming from a Galaxy S10+ and this phone is a considerable upgrade. I would defiantly recommend this phone if you are coming from a device that is at least 3 years or older. First, off the battery life is superb. This was one of the main reasons why I knew I needed to upgrade. My S10+ could no longer keep up with me through out the day. I use my devices heavily for personal and business use. I can go a full day of heavy use and still be in the 30-40 percent range by bedtime. I did buy a 3rd party 65w charger with PD and wow can the Super Fast Charging do the job! It is a huge improvement to be able to charge up your phone incredibly fast. I wouldn't buy the Samsung 45w charger. It's not a good deal. Second, the camera is an unbelievable upgrade. From my old phone this is far and away better at EVERYTHING when it comes to taking video and photos, especially in the zoom, quality and night time departments. The camera is THE BEST FEATURE of this phone, hands down. You will not be disappointed with the quality of snap shots you can capture as well as the pro motion (which cancels out the bumpiness you see in old video when you are moving) which works incredibly well. I could really go on an on about all the features the camera has, but you can probably find youtubers who can explain it much better than I. The "Nightography" is not a marketing gimmick either, you can capture some sharp/quality photos in low light conditions. Images from 1x-10x are stunning. Anything past the 10x zoom you really start to loose on quality, but its still a nice feature to have that 100x zoom. I'm not a selfie person, but the camera on that is outstanding. It is really nice to have a high quality selfie camera for video calls though. Third, the screen. Wow. It's really nice to have a lot of Real Estate, plus that 120hz refresh rate it very noticeable as soon as you start using this phone if you have never experienced high refresh rates. This could easily be one of the best screens in your household unless you have an OLED in your house. Its that great of a screen. Fourth, the S-Pen. This comes in handy for me to jot down a quick note or make a grocery list. I've never owned a Note phone, so this is new to me. Can I live without it? Yes. Would I want to live without now that I have a S-Pen? No. It's a nice feature to have and has the added functionality to edit photos and also use it as a remote to take pictures (very handy for the occasional selfie). I personally use Microsoft OneNote to sync my notes across all my devices, so its really nice to edit notes and access them from any device. The Cons: -Its expensive, very expensive especially for upgraded storage -No micro-SD storage (This would have probably made it the most perfect phone) -The curved edges of screen are gimmicky, I really don't see a need for them other than to make the phone look cool. -Its a heavy phone Overall, if you can afford it, I wouldn't hesitate IF you are coming from a phone that is 3 years old or older. Its a premium phone and you can feel it in the design, the capability and the snappiness of it. This is a truly remarkable phone, but I wouldn't upgrade if you have an S21 Ultra. My wife has that phone and honestly this phone is a minor improvement from that besides the S-Pen.

    Great upgrade

I am upgrading from a Samsung Galaxy S-10 Lite to a Galaxy S-22 Ultra smartphone. Display size is similar with the S-10 Lite display coming in at 6.7" and the S-22 Ultra measured at 6.8" curve display. When you put a decent case on the phone, like the Otterbox Defender Pro Series of cases those curve edges are well protected from any drops that you may encounter in daily life. The phone ships straight out of the box with Android 12 and Samsung 4.0 skin on board. Let's talk about the cameras for à moment, there is a lot to unpack here. On the rear you have a 108MP Sensor with Ultra wide, wide angle and Macro lens on board. In addition there are two telephoto lens that will give you 100 times zoom. That will be great whe you need that feature. For the most part, the average person probably won't need that much zoom. But it is nice to have on board. On the bideo side, you can shoot up to 8K Video up to 24fps. I wish Samsung would give us the option to shoot 8K video at 30fps. They could add it in a software update maybe. Just b add the toggle so some of us filmmakers have options. The front facing camera has a 40MP sensor with a wide range lens with face tracking that follows additional subjects or material things that may appear in the frame. You can also shoot a short videoon the front camera. The main reasons that I spent$1,399.99, after taxes well over $1,450.00 dor the 512GB version in Burgundy was dor the 120 hertz Refresh Rate and the S Pen. So this S-22 Ultra is really a Note Series phone at the top of the food chain. I like the large 6.8" screen for playing games like Asphalt 9 and Call of Duty. Graphics are bright and crisp with no lag. And it just feels so good in the hands. Let's move on. Enjoying the S Pen for taking notes, using the Bluetooth feature flr taking pictures remotely. In addition, using the S Pen for changing values or songs on the phone. Overall, this has been a great new journey for me in purchasing this new Samsung Galaxy S-22 Ultra. My only complaint wi r h the phone is I with the phone lasted longer than one day. Don't get it twisted, I can get through an entire day, an eight hour work day on heavy video and game playing with several phone calls in the mix. Take the phone off of the charger with 100% Battery Charge at 7:50am. I can use my phone àll daybut I will need to pit it back on the Charger between 8 or 9pm with 20-10% Battery left on the phone. My advice, keep a charger near you during the day in order to give the phone a maintainance charge during the day!

I'll start off with the negative. Battery life is meh for me. This will be different for everyone depending on what apps and devices you are using with it but I generally only get 4 hours of SOT using 5G so I have to charge when I get home. Otherwise... moving on to the good/great stuff. Display: Oustanding! Beautiful to look at in full resolution or at 1080P. It is the brightest screen I have seen with loads of details. It's size makes it easy to scratch so I recommend a screen protector that works with the ultrasonic fingerprint reader. I went with Whitestone dome glass. Speakers: Not their best but still far above average. They are loud and clear and good for music or podcasts when doing other activities. Reception: This is the only phone where I almost always get 5 bars on T-Mobile at my work. Every other phone gives me 1-2 bars (iPhone 13 Pro included). I am thinking it is a combination of antenna design and the new Snapdragon X65 modem working their magic. In areas with known good reception I can get between 900mbps - 1gbps on mmwave. Using midband I usually get aroudn 400-600 mbps. Keep in mind this will likely affect battery but it is worth it to me! Spen: works like a charm. My hand writing is bad anyways so it looks horrible when I write but it is extremely convenient to quickly and naturally take notes at any time. Size/comfort: The hard edges on the bottom make it a bit uncomfortable to hold but a case can offset that. The curved edges on the back make it very comfortable to grip while in use. Cameras: Outstanding! I like to use the main camera whenever able since it is the most capable one. Detail mode is a great tool which uses a 12mp photo in conjunction with a 108mp photo to ensure there is good light and high detail. The 3x camera is meh but it is nice to have. The 10x camera is outstanding for photographing wildlife. Battery: As stated in my intro, this is the only area I feel performance is poor. I got much better battery on iPhone 13 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro. Maybe it is just my use case but there is no way I can get a full day out of it without charging. My day is between 6am-3pm and I get home with about 30% most of the time. Luckily the 45w charger (not included) can get me back to 100% in an hour or so.

S22 Ultra 512GB is an excellent phone and hard to beat. Should last me years before having to absolutely upgrade. I usually buy pure'ish android phones but the current offerings are disappointing and for the price no match. Samsung makes it easy to give them my money and happy they brought back the essence of the Note. Pros: Camera, Screen, Speed, Signal strength Cons: Pricey, Heavy

Still a great phone even now that the s23 Ultra is out. Camera is phenomenal and rivals even the best point and shoot cameras out. Video is excellent and IMO better than Apple/Google. S Pen is something you don't know you need until you use it. Fast performance and one of the best screens I've found. I don't love the curves and the fingerprint reader is passable but not great. Screen protectors are an issue since most glass will block the fingerprint reader so you are stuck using either plastic screen protectors or the glass kind you have to UV on which can cause a problem when removing. Overall a great phone even today.

Excellent product. I can do have two (2) lines using the e-sim capability, so I have to phone numbers (one for each of two different businesses), even overseas in Europe, Africa and Asia. It is easy to use with Beats by Dre or with any other Bluetooth connection (like in rental cars). Also easy to connect with Android Auto. Can also use with presentations and connecting to televisions, etc. Cameras work well and have numerous options for business photos, personal photos and travel shots for social media. The battery charges fast and holds charge well, even after streaming for hours. Streaming quality if excellent, by the way. Excellent phone! Can't recommend enough!

I can record, store, & edit my videos for my youtube without a problem. Shameless plug Charisma Cares Travels lol! So its a win for me
