The ...More Reviewed on samsung.com samsung.com Shopper 5 a week ago Huge Upgrade with a sprinkling of AI Magic With my previous phone being the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, it was time for an upgrade and moving to the S24 iteration of Samsung's flagships has been a monumental upgrade in so many ways: The physical appearance of the phone for a start, the completely flat screen feels uniform and slick amd with the matt metal frame there is instantly a top quality premium feel to the phone. The camera lenses placement on the rear of the phone again is another example of how Samsung have refined the build of the phone in every way to make ot the best looking Samsung Galaxy I've seen & used. Then turning the phone on immediately the screen jumps out as being seriously impressive. The QHD+ display is pin point sharp and with the increased peak brightness of the Galaxy S24 series I am able to see the sheer complete beauty of this screen in in the most brightly lit environments. The Galaxy UI software is incredibly intuitive, with seemingly endless customisation options to really personalise the phone to how I want through the menus, apps, wallpapers and backgrounds. The Generative AI Wallpaper creator is a really fun feature to use. Creating impressive AI wallpapers from different options that I can choose. The Photo AI editor is also massively impressive. Being able to make changes to images that are then indistinguishable is fantastic. Of course some photos with challenging lighting, shadows and textures can prove to be harder for the AI to interpret, but from my usage so far I'd say 90% of the photos I've edited using the AI Editor have come out extremely well. The new Circle to Search feature us also fantastic, being able to identify where clothing items are from, what the location of buildings are etc all from the phone screen I'm on at the time. Regardless of what app I can use this feature with a simple press and circle. AI is also impressive with the Samsung Note summary and auto format feature aswell as Summarising webpages that I am on. All features that I've found myself using on a daily basis. Speaking of efficency, the battery life has been superb thus far. The added battery protection settings provide further piece of mind for battery durability but I've been amazed so far with how much I've been able to use my phone. The cameras, a perfect set up with the different lenses. And with the multiple shooting modes for my work I've been able to shoot 4k video and edit it all on my phone. A productivity king with magic of AI the icing on the cake.

While the screen resolution is above that of the best iphone it is still not the highest density pixel count you can find. Screen size is 1440p and wider than Sony's 4K screen which makes it difficult to hold but easier to view. Screen brightness stronger than other phones. Button placement is better than Sony but they stick out too much so when you place in pocket they easily get pressed unintentionally (cause its already so wide) which leads to quicker wear. Standy battery is better than Sony, and Samsung android doesnt have bugs like auto brightness turning itself on all the time. Flat screen is better than curved edge BUT the camera punch-hole is still present, while Sony display is not interrupted. The aspect ratio is also not standardized so viewing ultra wide movies has a cropped image while Sony's fills up the entire screen. It is improved device but still has steps to go. For pure media content i prefer Sony display, while for gps and other utilitarian use the s24u is better equipped. Camera on s23u felt like it made better images. Speaker and haptic quality is better on Sony, but it's louder on Samsung, infact too loud when others using max volume near me i have to always ask them to turn it down cause it hurts. Speaker holes on body dont have screen mesh you need to find that seperately, but atleast placement allows it, while Sony forward facing speaker design leaves no room for speaker mesh screen. I would prefer more affordable without stylus, and with memory card slot like the Sony phone has it. Display colors intensity/contrast does look totally washed out in a side-by-side comparison with the s23u. Finding accessories like cases and bags that fit perfectly with more variability to design choices to fit individual needs is infinitely easier than finding the same for Sony.

I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra for a couple of weeks now, and it’s seriously impressive. The display is incredible—super bright and crisp, even outside in the sun, and the 120Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth. The camera is probably my favorite part, especially the zoom and how clear the photos turn out even in low light. It’s definitely a step up from my last phone, and the battery easily lasts all day, even when I’m using it non-stop. The performance is top-notch too. Apps open instantly, and I’ve had no issues multitasking or gaming. I also love having the S Pen—it’s great for quick notes or doodling when I’m bored. My only gripe is the price; it’s definitely not cheap, but you’re getting a lot of bang for your buck. If you’re looking for a phone that does it all, the S24 Ultra is worth checking out!

A great upgrade in the Galaxy S series ~ my last phone was the S21, so upgrading to the S24 Ultra was a good experience, though the upgrades feel minimal. The introduction of Galaxy AI is interesting and works great, but I haven't used it much so far. The best part of my upgrade is the picture quality when using the new cameras. Everything has been clear so far, and the night mode pictures have been better than they've been in the past, for sure. The battery life is average, I guess, but it's definitely better than the S21 - I only charge it once a day and it can last usually from morning to mid-afternoon, so about 8-10 hours, with bits of gameplay spread throughout the day until I have to charge again. If only they could actually make a battery than can handle the drain of a day for like...15 hours...but then again, I heavily use it for media, so perhaps for a more average user, it could actually last the majority of the day. The processing speed and transitions seem smoother, so that is also a plus on making switching from app to app seam more seamless. My storage space has greatly increased, as I had a 128GB-ish S21, so having a 512GB phone definitely helps with all the pictures that I take throughout the years and games that I install. Even with Genshin and various other games, my current total storage including photos and videos is about 40%. I don't use the stylus much, but I suppose it can be handy to have in specific situations. I don't know if this is a still a problem for others, but there was a charging problem where the phone would not charge when you plug it in, but that was easily and annoying resolved by restarting the phone at least once a day. Hopefully this problem gets fixed soon, if it hasn't already!

Amazing Samsung device and I've had it since day one. Best Samung I have ever had and I have the S3, S5, S7, S10+ and S22 Ultra. Way better battery life than the S22 Ultra and much faster/snapper. AI features alone are priceless. Photos and videos are remakable. My brother has a DSLR camera and you can't tell the diffence in image quality and sometimes this device beats it out right. Those photos would be done processed automatically with features and AI, with DSLR camera would still need tonedit with Photoshop wasting precious time that you could have spent taming more pictures. You record meetings with Samsung notes then have that recording transcribed and even summarized in a nice oitlined format. I probably use this phone 5 or more hours a day and with more than 50% battery life. S Pen is more than a stylus, use to take pictures with you in it, have your kids draw on it when theybare bored or use the air gestures to make using the device easier. I also play games on this device and they run like butter. No stutters or lagging, feels like a gaming PC in my hand. Watching YouTube, Disney +, Hulu and Netflix look beautiful with the display resolution maxed out. The glare reduction is so cool out in the bright sun, you can see what is on the display without having to twist the display for the right angle. I could keep going but i tbink ill stop here. If you are looking for the BEST smartphone right now, look no further. If have iPhone, this may make you think twice about blindly handing money to Apple.

Upgraded to the S24 Ultra from my S21, and honestly it feels like a big step up. The screen is super bright and sharp, and the battery easily lasts me a full day with heavy use. The camera takes amazing photos, especially zoom shots, though low light is still hit or miss. It’s a little on the heavy side, but the build feels premium. Pricey, but I can see myself keeping this phone for years.

I've been using the Galaxy S24 Ultra for a while now and it honestly feels like a true flagship. The 6.8" AMOLED display is incredibly bright, the 200MP camera is amazing, and the battery easily lasts all day. The titanium build feels premium, and having the S Pen is a big bonus. Overall, I'd rate it 5/5.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra is a great phone. I do everything with it, including taking notes, drawing using the S-Pen for more precise lines when doing graphic design projects. I'm also a content creator, so I use it to script, film, edit, and publish videos and photographic content. The videos and pictures are great, up there with the best, and the ability to record in 8K gives me more flexibility when editing videos. Samsung Dex is extremely useful for those times when you have a monitor or a TV. You can plug the phone in via a USB-C to HDMI adapter and get some work done on the big screen. Productivity aside, it is also a great device for gaming, watching movies, and listening to music. The speakers are great, but I do prefer listening to music with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3. The AI features are really nice. Some of them are very helpful, and I use them a lot. This review was written by me, but I used one of the AI features on the S24 Ultra to ensure the grammar and spelling were correct. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and this blows it out of the water. The only two things that I wish this phone had are expandable storage via microSD and a high-quality headphone jack, which would make audio production projects much easier. The Galaxy Buds are great, but they can't match the low latency of a 3.5mm jack.

I upgrade my phone every year so in saying that i still have my S20 Note my S21 Ultra S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra now an S24 Ultra 512GB. Obviously when you upgrade from the S20 this will upgrade will bring you a happy face with the camera upgrade, the new chip will bring better performance, the flat screen will definitely make protecting it much easier protecting it. The battery performance is good the new AI software is cool but not always accurate. Its a definite must upgrade even from the S21 Ultra. The choice to upgrade coming from the S22 Ulta is where it gets tricky i think its simply about money on the S22 Ultra if you have the cash i would say go for it but if youre having it rough then hold off until the S25 Ultra. Next is the S23 Ultra and again this is just my opinion the flat screen is the major difference that separates these two but if you bought the 256GB S23 Ultra samsung did you wrong and gave you 8GB of ram, you had to buy the 512GB version to get the 12GB of ram. On the S24 Ultra all storage versions have 12 GB of ram. I know there is a few things different between the two like the 5x zoom with the bigger sensor on the S24 Ultra. I know the glass on the S24 Ultra is stronger and non reflective. I know the S24 Ultra has a newer faster chip but its not that big of a difference. In my opinion its not worth upgrading from the S23U to the S24U my S23 Ultra 512GB just sits in its box when realistically i should of passed on the 24 Ultra. So the bottom line is the S24 Ultra is a Good phone that offers it all in one package but depends what your upgrading from when decided to upgrade or not.

The phone itself is big, bulky & heavy with a case but without it it's heavy & a slippery sucker! I love the color (violet) but my case covers either way. I wish the s-pen was purple & that the shiny sides were purple too. I like the features even though I Harvey really used them all but overall I love it! The camera is good but I feel like it should come with a guide as to how to use it & how to take better pictures & videos.
