A nice minimal option that helps prevent glares

I live in the desert, and it prevents bright glare from blinding me or ruining screen quality. My only gripe is that the installation process can be challenging. Also, this is film, not tempered glass, which is something to keep in mind when shopping for screen protectors.

What a miserable install

Samsung in all of their infinite wisdom said “hey, you know what people would love? Making a screen protector that installs in two parts, and both parts are equally difficult to attach”. I have never seen any screen protector in all my time of owning a smart phone require me to peel two different parts. Both parts that you need to peel are facing the phone. You cannot install this screen protector in one smooth motion. It comes with two screen protectors the first one was super bubbly because of the two part install. I felt like I was going to bend the phone before I got the bubbles out. The second screen protector I just peeled both of the blue parts off and I got a perfect install that way, but since I couldn’t use the guide rails it’s crooked. That’s the trick is to just peel both ends off and run a credit card along as you are installing it, but once again you have to make sure you align it yourself.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The worst screen protector I've ever used, and I've used a bunch. I thought this being the official Samsung version would mean it's great, but it's not. The first one was a complete disaster, bubbles everywhere despite a perfectly clean screen and following directions perfectly. Also, the little plastic template allows too much flex, so it was put on crooked. The second one went better. I didn't rely on the template and lined it up by hand. It went on cleanly, but despite being extremely careful it still got a few bubbles. Worst, weeks later, more bubbles are still appearing! This thing is awful. Only giving two stars as it looks like it does what it's supposed to, but I'll be removing it soon.

Be careful with the installation

If you do not nail the installation the first try, there is a high probability that the film will be damaged/torn if you try to peel it. It is also pretty sticky on the back, removing dust seems impossible.

Disappointed

Used Samsung screen protector at first, they were great but then totally unavailable. Bought these thinking they'd be the same, they are not. More brittle and the tool to hold the protector in place during install almost made it more difficult to accomplish properly. The S22 came with a box the phone sat in which was far better. I did manage to get the protector on but aligning it and not trapping any dust was really difficult. I am hoping the aftermarket company I started buying from for the S22 makes a protector for this model soon.

After thoroughly cleaning, stickering, etc. Finally got it installed and both films were scratched right in the middle. Getting all the bubbles out... good luck. When installed you cant even tell its there, props to that but its not clean no matter what u do.

protect screen from scratches

I had a perfect install the first try. There are screen protectors with easier installation, but this one is ok. I think the screen protector's anti-reflecting ability is not as good as the S25U screen without the protector, but it certainly is better than other screen protectors. The film is very thin, but it will protect the screen from scratches with minimal bulk and weight. I had the same screen protector from Samsung on my S24U, and that worked great for the 1 year that I had it.

I see a few people have problems installing protector but its a easy install if u watch the video & follow the steps. Samsung has been selling this protector for last few Galaxy phones, for years. As with any protector If you never installed a screen protector go to a professional & have them install. 2 screen protectors in box

Horrid installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have no idea who thought the installation process as feared in the not helpful installation video would actually work in real life, but it does not; the blue plastic the screen protector is attached to might as well be glued in place with superglue. No matter how much effort I put into using the squeegee to try to push out the blue plastic, it does not move and there is absolutely no help to be found anywhere. I’ll be returning this tomorrow.
