It seems like I may be one of the few?? people who can’t adapt to the latest Samsung display changes. I’ve tried what I believe are all the available settings and adjustments, (privacy settings off) but this screen consistently causes headaches, eye strain, and even dizziness with extended use.
I’ve been using Samsung phones for years, and this is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this. Unfortunately, it makes the device unusable for me.
I’m very disappointed both with Samsung’s “improvements” and with Best Buy’s handling of the situation. Since I already shipped my trade-in device, my old phone is gone, and Best Buy was unwilling to return it—even though the trade-in had not yet been processed
Hi Suca, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. As we strive to be innovative and make improvements on the design and functionality of our products, your feedback is invaluable. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. To alleviate what you've described to be experiencing with your new display, please turn off the privacy display. Go to Settings > Display > Privacy Display and turn off "Maximum privacy protection" or disable the feature entirely to check if symptoms persist. If the display brightness is causing discomfort, please enable extra dim on your display. Settings > Accessibility. Utilizing Eye Comfort Shield may also help resolve what you've been experiencing. Go to Settings > Display > Eye comfort shield and set it to "Adaptive" or "Custom" to reduce blue light. If you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like any further assistance, please feel free to contact Support. Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
