Customers love the Galaxy S7 edge 32GB's camera quality, battery life, and screen size, with many praising its ease of use and design. Positive feedback also highlights the phone's water resistance and performance. While some users wish for a stylus, a few found the edge display feature less useful.

I hadn't used an Android device in over 5 years. I had been an iPhone user and wasn't unhappy. I needed to replace a stolen phone and found a great deal on the Galaxy S7 Edge. I cannot say enough great things about this device. It is fast and responsive. I had read bad things about the Samsung overlay, but I find it very effective. Samsung Pay works so much better than Apple Pay. The screen on the Edge is fantastic. It is crisp and has the best display I have ever used. I'm running Nougat and I've had zero issues. The camera is great. I had been a huge fan of the iPhone cameras, and I'm very pleased with the camera on the Edge. It is different than the iPhone camera, but the photos are great. If you need a nice device I would suggest seriously considering a Galaxy. I am a fan and I won't be buying another iPhone. I can't wait to upgrade to the Note.

I had a Samsung Galaxy 4 and was having issues. I took it to Best Buy, and they told me it would continue to have issues and when I said I was thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy 6, the man told me the 7 was coming out and they were taking orders. I ordered it, got it and love it!!!

Amazing phone, but no talking & surfing seriously?
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
This phone is seriously gorgeous, powerful, and amazing in every way but one. Unfortunately it's a big flaw by today's standards... you cannot "talk & surf" at the same time. In other words, while you're on a phone call you cannot use the internet, nor send an email that you were just writing prior to the call, etc.
This problem was quite honestly a total shock to me as my previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S4 - which had no problem whatsoever multi-tasking like that, ever. I had my old phone for three years and I multi-tasked calls and data usage all the time with my Galaxy S4 in fact.
It turns out that the Samsung Galaxy S4 (and Galaxy S5 too for that matter) have dual antennas - one for phone calls and one for data connection. So the much older Samsung phones worked great.
Apparently Samsung - for whatever reason - decided to cut some corners and remove the dual antennas on all the Galaxy S7 phones.
This is really bad news if your phone carrier uses the CDMA cellular system (like Sprint, Verizon, others...) as CDMA cannot accommodate talking & surfing simultaneously.
The only way around this problem is if you are connected to a useable Wi-Fi network somewhere - which is just a bandaid, obviously.
If you want to talk & surf on a Galaxy S7 phone then you'll need to have a GSM system phone (like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.).
This is a deal-breaker for me. I take business calls all the time while I'm emailing, or need to look something up online during a call - business related or not.
With my Galaxy S7 on this network - I need to excuse myself from the call and hang up first, then look up what I need quickly, then make another call and hope to continue where I left off with whom I was speaking to... not so easy when you're on a conference call or speaking to a specific customer service rep about an issue you have.
My smartphone is basically my do-everything device, and it should be too. By 2016 standards this is ludicrous and totally unacceptable.
Samsung failed to continue using dual antennas and these CDMA networks (Sprint & Verizon namely) cannot handle multi-tasking without the right phone.
You'll need a phone with dual antennas or buy a Galaxy S7 on a GSM network like AT&T or T-Mobile.

Traded up from galaxy 4 to this phone. It is a little high in price but considering the use it gets and the fact that you can't live without a phone, I figure it is worth it. I expected a little more in some areas ; I miss the apps menu button with settings under each app for example and it seems fragile despite the hype. But for anyone who is familiar with android phones, I think you will love it. I wish there was more products available to help protect the screen. The screen protector and available cases don't seem adequate, if it gets a drop. The camera is good but I do not think that the buttons respond as quickly as on my old phone. The phone itself is very smooth functioning and fast.

I upgraded from s4 to S7 Edge. This thing flies and has so many great options. Screen is big, and with these old eyes that's a big plus.

S7 Edge Exceeds my expectations

As an original Note 7 user whom had to give up his Note series until another phone became available this has exceeded my expectations.
Pros:
1. Waterproof -- It works mine hit the sink of water already whoops but it still works.
2. Memory expandable - 256GB plus 32GB = no storage issues
3. Screen is Amazing
4. Camera is best I've seen on a phone
Downfall:
1. No stylus - as a Project Manager I miss this and cannot wait for another Note series.
2. Curve screen is tricky at times - Note 7 had less of a curve making it easier to use.
3. Wifi Calling is Ok, but Note 7 had better sound quality.

Big screen, great pictures

If you want a phablet, look no further. The screen on the Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge is huge and it also takes great pictures, fast. It doesn't wait for the lens to focus before taking a picture. However if you want a perfect picture, you either have to take multiple hoping you get one, or keep the phone as still as possible. The screen also has great resolution! It is still a little hard to use it with just one hand (I'm a woman with small hands), but I still wouldn't trade it for any other phone.

Have had this phone less than a week. It's waterproof in 5 ft of water for up to 30 min. Great. It's durable according to the Samsung rep who was at Best Buy. She actually dropped her phone on the floor 3 times to prove to me and a few other people that his phone can take a beating. However, the screen apparently scratches on nothing.
I carry my phone in my left pocket, and nothing else goes in that pocket. When charging, I lay it on it's back. But today, there's a fine scratch on the screen almost half the length of the phone. Was not there yesterday when I was playing with the Gear VR (awesome!!) but is there today, and again, won't be a week I've had it until Tuesday 3/15/2016

I've had the phone for about a week now and so far so good. It's fast, the picture is great. Photo's come out clear and there's tons of filter options. It was easy to setup and configure to my liking. Speakers are loud! overall I'm impressed with the phone so far!

S7 Edge Gold Great Buy

This phone is the best phone I have ever owned. I buy flagship phones all the time. This device is great. Not to fond of the edge feature as it does not serve much purpose but I like the larger screen so the s7 was not an option. The edge needs some work. Not enough to take it down a star because it is the best phone I have had and feels great. Gear VR is a plus as well.

I loved my Note 4 but figured it was time for an upgrade. I had my eye on the new S8 but I couldn't pass up a deal that Best Buy had on the S7 Edge. I did some research and found that the jump between the S7 and S8 wasn't that big. On the S8 they moved the fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone and I actually like having a physical Home button and finger print scanner on the front. While the S8 has the nice all glass front, when you're watching videos on the S8 there are black borders on each side so you're not really getting more video on the display when watching videos. I also read the camera is pretty much the same with only some slight improvements. The S7 Edge is still a nice upgrade from my Note 4. I will miss not having the S-Pen but I like that I can actually fit the S7 in my pocket, it's water resistant, supports Samsung Pay and can work with the Gear VR. The S7 Edge has the latest Android software - Nougat and performs very well. The display on the S7 Edge is 4K and looks very nice. One issue that's common with both the S7 and S8 is that it's hard to find a decent Tempered Glass screen protector due to the curved screen. I decided to go with an Armor Suit (wet application) screen protector which should help with scratches and is case friendly. So far I have no regrets getting the S7 Edge instead of the S8. I also purchased this online. I got the Verizon version and it already had a SimCard installed so it was super easy activating my new phone once it arrived.

This is my third phone in the Galaxy family and while I love the phone (good camera, great reception, great options such as wireless charging and water resistant) it is disappointing that there is no IR blaster and especially annoying that Peel pushes notifications everyday... never worry about a lost remote again, but if you do certainly don't depend on this phone to replace it.

My First Samsung Phone

This replaced my HTC One M8, so it had huge shoes to fill. I can honestly say it blows the One M8 out of the water. The glass body and "Edge" design takes some getting used to, but I use this phone much more often than my old one. (Is that really a good thing?)
Clear display and sound for media and actual phone calls, strong cell and WiFi reception, and the fingerprint scanner is blazing fast. We staged a contest at work and the people with the latest i device got smoked on unlocking and searching.
Great pictures and video in a variety of light conditions. Screen casting works well to my Roku 3 and to a second television's built-in receiver. Gaming is great and snappy so far, and VR on the Gear is fun.
The battery life could be better, but it fast charges both by cable and wirelessly. The Edge design has meant that no screen protection has been worth a darn, but I figured that coming in. Overall, I have been extremely happy with this phone.

All I've had has been iPhones, but honestly I got tired of apple. They hyped their phones too much and when you got the newest model, it was like nothing had changed, just tiny things on it. I got bored and decided to go for a Galaxy. I did research and I'm happy with this phone! It is beautiful, and quick! I don't think I'm ever going back to apple again.

The phone is a piece of art and very fun to play around with. From my experience, it doesn't work well with an SD card inserted for whatever reason (mine was encrypted). I had to take mine out because the phone kept restarting and corrupting the SD card. I don't need the extra space anyways. If you do, you may need to wait until that gets sorted out. Verdict: Great phone and extremely good looking if you can afford it.
