Customers are saying

Customers find value in the Galaxy S8+ 64GB's camera quality, battery life, and screen size, with many praising its ease of use and the overall design. Positive feedback also highlights the ample storage and performance. However, some users express dissatisfaction with the Bixby virtual assistant and the absence of a physical home button. The Samsung-specific features are also a point of contention for some users.

This Galaxy S8+ is terrific. Specifically, this model evolved nicely from the S6, to the S7 to the S8. The speed of Touchwiz, and it's slimmer design, makes this feel like something other then a Samsung smartphone. The home screen button is slick and fast, and the display is even better then the S7... Battery life is better then I expected, seems to hold it's charge with medium usage. Recommended!

The display; the lack of bezels and edge to edge screen is what astounds you from the beginning, futuristic and gorgeous. The phone in your hand feels better on the edges, seamless almost, compared to last year's S7 Edge that felt a little sharp. The screen is larger so they did get rid of the capacitive home button; added software buttons. The home button now gives taptic feedback when you press on it, somewhat like the IPhone 7/7+. With that, the fingerprint reader is on the back, next to the camera, you'll have to get used to that unless you use another security unlock. If you want specs, go back above. Compared to last year, almost everything hardware wise is the same except for the new rear camera sensor and USB-C functionality and besides, the specs are amazing anyways. My only 2 questions are battery and the new personal assistant Bixby. The battery on the S8/S8+ is 3000/3500mAh, the S7/7Edge were 3100/3600mAh. With larger displays than last year, we'll have to see how well the battery fares, despite the new Snapdragon 835 processor because display drains battery on every phone. Bixby...is just weird. It's almost the same as the Google Assistant (which is also on your phone, per Android) so they coexist. There's only few differences between the two and I'm not sure how well it will take off but we'll have to see. Besides that, this is a very solid and good looking phone. If you preordered, you won't be disappointed at all. (P.S. It's made of metal, not cheap plastic, remove that comment from the previous review)

Since we're obviously in the pre-order season I only had a chance to play with the phone at the store. I currently own an s7 Edge and I can't wait to get the s8+ I pre-ordered. Both s8s look really sharp, especially the black one. The camera and display are outstanding. The phone feels great while holding, no issues with that. Even though the fingerprint sensor is on the back, I found it to be more convenient. If the phone sits on a desk and needs to be unlocked, you can use a PIN, password or Iris scan. The new UI looks great too, i.e. launcher and other areas. In fact, I found the s8 launcher apk published in many sites and installed it on my s7. The performance was great and fast at launching apps. I love the fact that the curved edges are not as curved. The s8+ it is a bit more expensive, but BestBuy will give you $100 credit, at least with VZW. Very excited and anxious to get it!

    Simply Amazing

I recently upgraded from a note 4. To be honest I was in a pickle torn between an iPhone 7+ and the Samsung 8+. I picked the Samsung and knew that I had 14 days to decide if I did not like it I could exchange it for the iPhone 7+. At first it took me a little to adjust to the phone especially with the home button. It's been 11 days now that I have the phone, I feel comfortable now with it. It exceeds in performance, quality, and battery life from the note 4. Of course you can't compare a note 4 to this phone. Don't get me wrong, I am sure the iPhone 7 + is an amazing power house, but I love the ability to have my customization that Android gives you. I was a little nervous with Samsung given its previous issues with the note 7. So far this is the most amazing Samsung galaxy I have owned. The only thing that worries me is the screen. I have yet to find a case that offers better protection to the infinity screen. The screen is raised in a way that the cases would not protect it should it hit the side on a fall. If anyone out there has found a good case please let me know. Other than that, this phone rocks!

    Best phone on the market

I have the S8 plus and I am loving it. The 1440p is wonderful when watching content, the phone is fast and is smooth. I actually went to the store to buy the Iphone 7+, but after seeing the s8 plus and comparing the two side by side the S8 plus won me over in a quick fashion. The Pros would be that it's the best Android phone out there. It has best screen. The iris and facial scanner are new. It has expandable memory to 256Gb. The cons The glass of the back of phone is prone to breaking, making a case necessary therefore covering up that beautiful phone. The phone is $100 more this year than the last years model. Samsung included $100 retail earbuds to make up for it. Lastly a glass screen protector is a wise choice to purchase as well seeming as the curved part of the screen will be weaker than the rest and after purchasing the phone, screen protector and case the total price is high. All that said, if it's time for an upgrade and you can't wait for the new Iphone, this is a must have.

I was iffy in whether or not to upgrade to this phone because it didn't seem to be too much of an upgrade from my s7edge but this phone is much better than expected. The battery life is fantastic and the screen is quite impressive. This phone runs much smoother than my previous phone. People were complaining about the fingerprint scanner being moved to the back but I think it is a much better placement and it feels very natural to use. The iris scanner is super quick and works every time. I love this phone.

I worked for a cellphone company a few years. From experience I can say Samsung makes really good phones besides Apple, it's bigger competitor, I pre order the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and so far I love it. Screen is amazing, fast, looks and feels strong.

These reviews were not helpful at all the phone doesn't feel like cheap plastic IMO...if you like the edge you'll love the display on the s8 and s8+ the front facing can takes better pictures, (ohh yes I made sure to check out everything on that display phone). The new assistant from Samsung takes some time to get to know but turns out to be in ways better than google, it recognized bdlgs and can translate the writing to the language you want. I suggest you see for yourself
