I've been a part of the Samsung family since the S6 and have owned every flagship since then, this phone is one of my favorites so far. Samsung has taken every great feature of the S series and always improves on it enough to make your purchase worth while. The screen is beautiful and colors look great. This is complimented by the beautiful pictures taken by the great camera they put in this, along with the 64GB of storage built into the phone and the expandable storage to save all that goodness onto. The phone also has an impressive battery life. Under what I would consider medium-heavy use the battery has always been able to make it to the end of the day with at least 30% left to spare (this will vary depending on many different factors). Running Pandora on the background either through the phone speakers or Bluetooth for 2 hours has only dropped the battery down to about 95% and I found this to be impressive. With the screen on playing a game for 2 hours will drop it down to about 90% depending on the screen brightness, but this was also very impressive.

After using this phone for 2 weeks I can confidently say I've never been so satisfied with an electronic device. I have owned several flagship Samsungs and I've purchased a couple IPhones for my wife. This device is faster and has a better aesthetic than any other device available. Best Buy's $20 Insignia case protects the back and sides from scratches (sand on a table will scratch even the best glass!) But I ditched a very nice zagg tempered screen protector after 2 days. I didn't drop $850 to cover up the best screen ever put on a phone. The glass is extremely durable against steel or aluminum, like keys or something. (Again tho, sand is quartz! I'm careful!) Network, camera, raw power, battery, screen, fingerprint sensor, everything is a solid 10/10. Will recommend daily, to anyone with the budget!

    Loving my S8+! No regrets.

Decided to buy out my S6 Edge as I could not find the patience to constantly charge the device. I tried battery packs, multiple charges, etc... The small battery of the S6 Edge had me constantly fighting battery drain. Beyond the battery, the speed and size of the S8+ had me hooked from the get-go. I had read good things about the battery life so it looked like a win-win and I took the plunge. Haven't looked back and have zero regrets. The screen : amazing The camera : ridiculous ... slow-mo is awesome! Battery : you will be looking for a charger but not until later in the day (I'm a heavy user). When I am too busy and my phone gets left alone, I can get a full day out of it. Size : the 8+ is just right for me. Still fits in my pocket - large but comfortable If you are considering this phone, the only thing I can say is just do it. 4 Stars because like anything else in life .. it's not perfect. Bixby still needs some work and the switch to USB3 (while a good thing!) means that your old cables will no longer be of use. They do provide some nice adapters though. Love the phone.. just go for it!

Let me start off by saying I've had my fair share of iPhones as well as a few androids. But none compare to the powerhouse that is the Galaxy S8+. I was using an iPhone 7 256Gb in matte black and it was my daily driver for the better part of a year and some change. From switching I got back a 3.5mm audio port as well as gaining wireless charging. Plus the screen quality and size is great. I've never been a fan of the Plus series iPhones as they were just to big for a little bit more screen where as the S8+ gives you more for your buck. Battery life is good, it lasts all day with screen quality and brightness on the highest settings.

Upgraded from a Galaxy S7 Edge and I have been so happy with this phone. This review comes months after I got this phone, to which I am still happy with my decision. Battery life is great as well as the software. To me, I use the camera very often. It's in my top 5 of things that I consider when buying a phone. The S8+ definitely hits those marks. I would recommend this phone!

I really like this phone although the price could be better. The big gripe I have with this phone is the bixby A.I. This is no more then bloatware their is no need for this when you have google now. The extra screen is nice and so is the display. The speed is great as well. Kinda wish the fingerprint was still on the front but not really an issue because they have other secuirity features. Battery life is really good as well can last me till late at night from mid morning. Really wish you could remap the bixby button to do something else. Also wish there were no samsung or att apps since it is useless bloatware. I would recommend the unlocked version.

My commute to and from work is long and I watch a lot of streaming content and movies on my phone. The screen size on my new Samsung Galaxy S8+ is perfect for this reason! In addition, the extra battery capacity in the Samsung Galaxy S8+ provides more than enough power to make it through both sides of my commute and a whole day of work, too. I also appreciate the 64GB of onboard memory for my pictures and video and the camera takes great pictures/video. An all around great phone that I recommend to anyone needing or wanting the extra screen size and increased battery life. The other "extras" are icing on the cake!

The S8 is a very fast phone with one of the best camera's around. The look is great. Battery life is exceptional. The only negative is the glass. It is more fragile than my S6 Edge was.... but, put a case on it and no worries!

Decided to finally make the switch back to Android from IPhone. Previously was a long time Android user, and some of that time being a Galaxy S and Note users during that stint. I will tell you that I have had many ups and down with my previous Samsung smartphones in the past. I always seemed to leave the galaxy lineup not because of the hardware, but their software overlay (TouchWiz) was awful, slow and downright clunk after typically less that 3 months of use. Which after a stint on the stock android bandwagon (during which I owned a bevy of stock android devices like a Nexus 6, Nexus 6p, Moto X Pure and so on), I finally tried team Iphone. Ultimately wasn't always satisfied with the Iphone, although not always disappointed either, but that is another story. So I LOVE THIS PHONE! Samsung has come a long way with their software overlay, and it shows during use. The display on this device is downright ridiculous in a very good way. Crisp, clear and immersive. Camera is awesome. Feels great in my hand and after an initial worry of being able to navigate this device with one hard, that was no longer and issue thanks to the design, which is not as wide as your typical Phablet like devices of similar size. If i had one thing to complain about, which isn't a deal breaker, it is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. May not be as big of an issue on the standard S8, but is not as easily accessed on the S8+ as I would have liked. But you easily can get over this after playing with the phone for more than 5 minutes and sitting in awe of the display. The processor and ram combo make the device super snappy and responsive to most any task, and I found myself actually using more of Samsung's typical packed in software and hardware features than I previously used to use, or rather didn't take advantage of on previous Galaxy phones. All being said, I highly recommend this device to any android user, and also any Iphone user wanting to test the waters on a android device, you will not be disappointed.

The phones battery can last you 30+ hrs with moderate use. Overall it's powerful, sleek, intuitive and beautiful. If you can, hold off till the galaxy 9s because it'll fix all the small problems this phone has.

The screen is beautiful and it is by far the fastest phone I have ever tried. There's not much more too a phone is there? Apps work great, screen quality is great, and the battery life is unbelievable. I can use my phone heavily and not have to charge it for two days. After having this phone for a little over a month, whenever I use someone else's phone I feel so unsatisfied. I'll never be able to go back to anything other than the Samsung Galaxy. I'm excited to see what great phone they'll come out with next, although I think I'll be satisfied with this one for quite a while!

Bought the 8+ with gear vr and controller. Very impressed with it so far. The battery lasts a long time. I use my phone a lot to surf the web. With this phone I recharge once a day. That is much better compared to my old galaxy 6 phone which I usually had to charge 3 to 4 times daily. Of course the screen and camera is the best I've ever seen. Impressed with the vr too. I owned the s6 vr previously and was not very interested in it because it drained my battery too much plus the resolution was poor. The 8 vr is better. The controller makes this vr easier to operate and I actually want to use it a little more with games. The resolution could be better but still better than s6

I was strictly an Apple fan until I bought this phone. Samsung has wowed me. I was blown away with the OS & overall design of this phone. Naturally I purchased the Orchid Gray & it is gorgeous. The processor is super fast. I can see myself holding on to the S8+ for years to come.

Great screen! Nice size (I have the 8+) and recommend getting the biggest screen you can get. The camera seems much improved and the.phone is noticeably faster. I bought the Otter box case when I got the phone and a plastic stick on cover for the screen. I recommend you get these items when you buy the phone. It's just good protection. One thing, either you're as Apple iPhone user or a Samsung Galaxy phone user. Test them and pick one. Get your accessories when you buy the phone. Get an extra charger and cord. Finally, take the time to learn your phone. Each one has new and improved features.

I was way overdue for an upgrade, as I had been using my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for a few years, and all the "stuff" going on in the background rendered the phone unusable. I don't think I'd EVER get an iPhone, as it's missing a 'Back Button,' something I use constantly. This new Samsung Galaxy S8+ exceeds my expectations in every way imaginable. It takes great pictures and videos, the battery stays charged for a long time, it's very fast, a sensor takes and all sorts of health-related measurements that are recorded; it captures metrics of when and how I exercise, etc. Truly amazing.

Maybe it's the upgrade from an S5 but it's that good! I actually tried the S7 Edge but decided to skip for the larger real estate! If you're on the fence, get it already!! Pros: Connects simultaneously to both S3 Gear and my Motorola 360. Very fast processor, ton of ram and 64gb storage go a long way to provide a very smooth UI. Beautiful screen. Could be Nougat but notifications are very cool. Setup is lengthy but the fingerprint scanner is top notch. I'm currently using my S8+ with an Otterbox Defender which has an opening that guides your finger without smudging the camera. Speaker, speakerphone and vibration are all excellent. Cons: FRAGILE... very. Pricey! The Occulus giveaway was nice of Samsung though!
