I've never seen the reason for spending this much on a cell phone, but now I do. I've been listing items for sale for over a year now with a smart phone and have tried over a dozen makes and models, iphone and android. I always had issues from picture quality to printing and speed. This smart phone had made all that a joke. I'm honestly dumbfounded. This little device has improved my quality of life drastically and increased my sales in less than a month. The camera ability is jaw dropping. I love this phone and yes I highly recommend. The pic attached I just did while moving. Too funny, it's ridiculous I didn't buy one sooner.

I ordered the phone online and had issue activating my phone when i received it. I called Virgin Mobile and they told me my phone was not registered correctly. So I took my phone to the best buy store and the rep I had helped me out tremendously. Come to find out the phone was not scanned correctly when they shipped it out. They scanned the serial/model number of the phone instead of the MEID number. Make sure to keep an eye on that if you order online. Overall that's the only issue i had. As for the phone, I had it for almost a month and I am enjoying it. Camera is great and the phone has not lagged on me. I really like the new feature where you can use both face recognition and iris scanner to protect your phone. The only thing I'm not really a big fan off is the Bixby feature. It is a little annoying that the Bixby button is underneath the volume button, but there is a way to disable Bixby.. Overall I'm enjoying this phone.

Okay so this is a great phone, When I go it Virgin mobile did say it was locked but they easily unlocked it with the code on the box so that was not a problem. I didn't have to go anywhere they did it over the phone. I was surprised I did not need an SD card. Anyway, this phone is much like the S8, the only difference is the cameras ability to shoot in low light. So if you like to shoot in low-light, get it, but if you don't care too much about that, slow-mo, and AR emoji tricks there's not much of a difference between this and the 8; may be slightly better sound and a finger print scanner that is moved. I wasnt super impressed with the camera to be honested. The Iphone still has a better front-facing camera to me, and that hurts to say. But you get more control with this camera. There was not that much of a price difference for me between the two, I had to get a new phone so I just got the 9. But if you can hold out for the 10 I would, rumor has it, it's going to be great. The S9 is still really nice, the features are great (like the S8), it has all the features a human can need. Samsung phones altogether still beat iPhones to me, they're normally ahead of the game. I purchased a samsung s9 for Virgin Mobile carrier. Love the phone. But if you want this phone and you have Virgin Mobile as your carrier you have to get the Virgin Mobile unlocked phone not the regular unlocked phone. The regular unlock phone will not work with Virgin Mobile

Has great signal and has a really awesome camera. The apps and everything open fast no lag or bad respond.

I love the phone, can't really tell the difference from my old one except i don't have to charge it all day which is nice. I had the same problem everyone else had when activating, so don't leave Best Buy without activating it. Only took a few minutes for them to do it after I explained that Virgin mobile said it was "scanned wrong".

We use this phone as mainly just a phone, so may be a bit "smart" for us, but very satisfied with the camera!

This is only my second "expensive " my the first was an s8. I am in love with this phone! If you love camera options this has them. Now I just have to figure them out lol.

Bought this phone for my daughter for her 15th birthday. She absolutely loves it. Great features.

The experience is exactly what I thought it was going to be. A nice step up from my aging Galaxy S5 which had gotten a bit long in the tooth and became incredibly slow regardless of what I did. For anyone using a Samsung phone currently I highly recommend this as a step up at least for the moment.

I was never able to activate this phone. They scanned it wrong at the shipping place and locked it. So it can't be activated ever. So i return it and buy it again per tech support instructions and they scanned that phone wrong too! So it can't be activated. So unless you want an expensive brick, don't buy it from here.

This phone could not be activated by Virgin Mobile. Tried online, finally called and was told this is a common mistake. Best Buy employee didn't act surprised that I was returning it. Got a refund.

I hope this is helpful for those who plan to purchase this phone in the future or have already done so. This phone comes unlocked with a Sprint SIM card installed and for some reason the Samsung Galaxy S9 MEID isn't able to be found within the Virgin Mobiles network when you try to activate it yourself online or when turn the phone on. Online it It will say ''Oops there was an issue please call customer service.'' or something like that and when you turn the phone on it will say something about not being able to connect to network please contact service provider. I called virgin mobile support and told them that I wanted to switch my service over to the S9 and gave them the information they needed, not the end of the world, but was a bit inconvenient for me at the time. Despite this small setback the phone is an awesome upgrade if you've never owned a higher quality smart phone before. Two of the greatest features that stood out for me the most was its Dolby Atmos sound upgrade and great picture quality especially in dark lighting.
