Price is great for the technology. Size is perfect. Some sort of a broad based stand would be great so you don't have to hold it while you are watching something lying down or at your desk. On/off button is just where you hold it and accidentally gets pushed alot. Android has intrinsic issues with software that seems to work fine on laptops surfing, but other than that, the device is great in that it's ready instantly. Bit slow on the uptake, but once streaming movies (that work) starts like Netflix, it's very nice machine.

This was a great buy for the use that I wanted out of a tablet. It does run a little slow at times but for what I wanted it for it works just fine (movies, play games while traveling). The battery life and and screen size works well and the price was awesome at under $200!

This wifi-only tablet is a very nice unit, that I intend to travel with and so avoid lugging a heavy laptop. I bought it on sale for just $140 plus tax. GPS location, Google Maps, email, web access, and lots more apps, will make this a very useful device while traveling. But, the cost of use will be essentially zero, since no phone network charges will accrue. Free wifi is available in many places, and with it, all of the apps will be fully supplied with data for what they do. The display is very sharp, and once I got the hang of the interface, quite easy to use. Battery power is superb. I last used it for nearly two hours, and had only used 15% of the charge. Compare that to my laptop, which is out of power in 2 hours. Having phone network access would make it work in more places, but for my purposes, wifi-only is fine. It fits nicely into a jacket pocket.

This was my first tablet. It was a great size. I found it suprisingly heavy for its size. A friend has an iPad, which I think is same if not lighter. I was coming from being an ipod touch 5 user, and I wanted something with a bigger screen. I think my ipod has a little faster processer than this tablet. Not sure of the comparable specs, but a game like Running With Friends runs perfect, albeit small, on my ipod, where it stutters and pauses on the tablet. Most other games/apps run fine, so it could be poor app programming. The wireless seems the same as my ipod. Hard to judge. Sometimes it seems slow, but can't tell if it's app's fault or device. The sound is great, and the headphone jack is at the top. The buttons are nicely places, but are sensitive. Both the physical buttons and the touch bottoms at the bottom. I find myself adjusting the volume when just holding it. The buttons at the bottom are very senstiive and click when just bearly touched, if that. The screen is almost as sensitive, but not really in a bad way. The locational touch sensor seems more accurate than on my ipod touch. I only got the 8 gig memory version. What I didn't know before getting it is that all apps, app data, and everything else by default wants to save to local memory. I put a 32gig SD card in it, but only certain apps will save to this memory. I have a modest number of apps, and didn't even update the apps I don't use, and I'm at 5gig used already. (that doesn't even count pictures, videos or music) I highly recommend getting more on-board memory versions if at all possible. I was talked out of getting higher memory version by sales rep saying 8 gig was more than enough. I wish I spent the extra money. overall, I'm happy with it. I use it for games, apps, and to watch videos. I also use it for streaming music. I'll continue to use my ipod for music, and when I need something more portable, but I use this more often, as its easier to see apps on the larger screen.

I have been borrowing my kids' Kindle Fires for a few years now and had been thinking about getting a tablet for myself. Given the charging issues with the older Kindles, I knew I wanted a different brand tablet. When I found this one on sale at Best Buy, I snatched it up and am glad I did! I like that the memory is expandable with the mini sd slot and that it has a camera. And, I actually like using the Kindle reading app better than the Kindle itself. My one complaint is that I can not install Adobe Flash Player on it. It is my understanding that this is not a Samsung specific issue, rather an Android/Adobe issue.

I bought this as a secondary home/business tablet. It is simple and easy to use. Loaded programs are good and the split screen is a great feature. The added bonus of a mini sd card reader is awesome. I bought a 32 GB card for expanded memory. Can save movies and music to enjoy while camping. Mini USB slot also a great bonus. Sound quality is pretty good and picture quality very good, except when out in the sun, but that is to be expected. The size is perfect for travel. The office like suite is great for excel and word manipulation. This is a great tablet that comes with a small price tag.

Start up was slow and tedious and not intuitive. I primarily use iPad products which irritate me because of the poorer security features and proprietary greed that Apple shows with it's applications. That being said, getting the applications I wanted on the galaxy were a royal pain. The screen was large and bright and good for my niece and nephew who are 6&7. Overall it's a well built machine with near equivalent features as the I products for a fraction of the price, but there are some fine tuning things I would've liked so that it's ready to roll as soon as you purchase it.

Third Tab purchased, first was Tab 2 last year. Tab three perceptibly faster and with smoother operation. Tab 3 is smaller overall than Tab 2 but screen size same as the larger Tab 2. Key feature is expandable memory. I'm a big iPad fan but Android is eating Apple's lunch in the tablet race. Tab 3 is a great value for the price. Only complaint is in the model most recently bought (we have a Tab Two and 2 Tab Threes) the languages programmed into the system were drastically reduced. Previously we're dozens. Would have given 5 stars if not for this.

This tab was a gift for my wife and is used primarily for reading. She had previously said she was not interested in a tab because she liked the "feel" of physical books. This tab has changed her mind; she loves it and has downloaded numerous books (on her own, I might add, as she is not a tech-type person). She also uses it to read news, email, and so on. I am sure that as time goes on she will appreciate other apps and the additional capabilities of this tab. I selected this one because it was full-featured with things like f/r cameras, good display, and the standard micro usb for charging rather than the previous proprietary plug and socket. An absolute MUST for me is expandable memory, and this had the microSD slot (this must ruled out the Google devices and a few more).

I use this tablet all the time and love it. For the price it came be beat. I have 7 inch and it fits perfect in my purse if I want to take it with me. I did have a problem with it shutting off in the middle of use occasionally after about 3 months of having it. Best buy sent it back to Samsung for repair. When I got it back it was even worse. Best buy ended up giving me a brand new tablet(I had to pay for another warranty) I've had the new one for about 4 months and have had absolutely no problems with it.

Bought the Galaxy Tab 3 for my kids (5 & 8 years old). They have used other tablets in the past and had no trouble figuring out how to use this one. They have found it quite simple and entertaining to use for pictures/video, games, music, and books. It is not really being used for any internet browsing or socializing. It is a very reasonable price for all that it offers.

I have had my Galaxy Tab for about a month now and I'm mostly satisfied with my purchase. By and large it serves my needs for surfing, email, video watching and gaming quite well and the size is perfect for sliding into my back pocket before and after air travel. Video watching on planes and in hotels is my #1 use and expandable/hot-swapable memory is the real big advantage over a kindle or nexus 7 for that reason (in my opinion). No complaints about the screen resolution or battery life and overall its a nice tablet. Where it disappoints is on the feature side... Samsung skimped on some of the features that you get in the 8 & 10 inch Tabs and ultimately leaves a little bit of a bad aftertaste... you know, it doesn't ruin the meal, but it requires a breath mint :) Most notable (to me) is that to my knowledge you can't extend the 7" with an HDMI cable (i.e. MDL capable) or a USB host option of any kind, whereas both are available on the 8" and 10". Not show stoppers for me and ultimately, I'm not willing to give up the extra portability for those features.

I will say my main issue is that I am an Apple user so the Samsung was a little challenging to navigate. I bought it for my 4 year old son for Christmas. He loved it and uses it constantly. Once set up it has been easy for him to navigate. They did offer a kids version of this unit but I bought the adult version due to lack of color choice and the price.

First the disclaimer: I am a satisfied iPad user and find it very easy to use and well supported. However I wanted a smaller tablet for travel and on-the-go use. The iPad mini cost more than I wanted to spend for a "part-time" tablet so I thought I would try out an Android based tablet. The Tab 3 came with a reasonably current version of Androd OS and appears to have very good build quality. The Tab 3 does what it is supposed to do but is not as convenient to use as the iPad especially since I use Outlook as my contacts and calendar app. Also I found a number of apps that I would like to use but are incompatible with this tablet. This may be the case with any 7" tablet for these apps but indicates some weakness in the Android "eco-system" compared to the iPad. On a positive note the display is more than satisfactory for my use and I like the ability to add a micro SD card for additional memory, The most significant gripe I have is the battery life seems short compared to my iPad 2 WiFi tablet. In summary my issues with the Tab 3 are more related to personal preference than any major faults with the product. I am also sure there are many people who prefer the Android OS over iOS in which case I think they would find the Tab 3 a well engineered quality product.

This is a great little device. With a continent size, a nice screen, and a very nice price point. I own both iOS and Android devices and personally prefer iOS, which is the only knock against this device for me. That is a personnel preference thing, so if you prefer Android (or just don't like iOS) that negative would not apply for you. One thing I really like about this (and all of the smaller tablets) is it is very comfortable to hold.

Bought this tablet for my 6year old daughter as a Christmas present. I have a Samsung phone so I figured I might as well buy the tablet. My daughter has no difficulty using it and has figured out how to use the tablet mostly on her own. She loves it! I was also afraid it would be too small but I feel it is the perfect size for her or anyone. The entire family uses it even though we all have laptops!

I like this tablet for the price. However when I compare it to apple Mini I believe the performance is a little bit slower. I am an apple person myself but thought I would give this a try because I didnt feel like spending $400 on something that I might not use that much. Overall it performs pretty well but I still think the apple Ipad mini is better, but for this price you cant go wrong.
