I bought this new Tab A 8"(2017 release) and so far am loving it !! I like the longer narrower screen because I use it primarily for reading my ebooks. This one now has 32 gb and is much faster due to a better processor with better resolution than the previous Tab A models. The only con to me is the weight. It is a bit on the heavy side. Overall though, I love my Tab A.

Bought this for a disabled friend who is not real computer savvy and wanted something that was small, light and had the amount of power needed to assist him with the tasks he needed to accomplish. When I first powered up and got it set up one line (very easy), I was amazed at the speed of the processor, ease of operation and overall functionalities. For a low price tablet, this is one powerful tool for someone looking for a good tablet at a fair price

I bought one these to play games and email and surf the net. I've had it for a couple of months now. I liked it so much I bought another one a month later when my Samsung 10.1 in Galaxy dropped and the screen went dark. I was determined to buy another one when it was on sale for $200 but this 8in works almost as good for $130. The only drawback is the graphics. Not the outstanding color of the 1080. 720p is good and will suffice but not get you as excited as 1080. But it gives us 32gb vs 16 for $70 less. It's lighter and is easier to hold and has a bigger charging tab. And best of all it comes with a 48in cord vs a 32in. Makes it so much easier to play while charging. It's Android. I play games with almost all Apple phone owners, some tablets, and it is much easier to play on then a phone. Battery time is good. Camera is decent. Charging is fast. It's the only tablet I've seen that can handle games like G.O.W. in the most intense battles and not crash! With the occasional restart. The only drawback is getting it to fix typing errors automatically. Can't get it to do it with Samsung nor Google typing boards. All in all, I'm happy with it.

I purchased this tablet on sale for 30$ less than list and am happy that I did. I've had nearly every other Samsung tablet if similar size and this is the best so far. I'm happy it came with updated OS, but am anxious for an update to Oreo so it will match my phone. I wish it had Bluetooth 5.0 so I could connect to multiple speakers like my Note 8. Aside from that it has been pretty quick in comparison to the Tab 3 and 4 I upgraded from, and it doesn't close down background apps without me wanting it to because of low memory. I often switch between media apps and found my old tablets would close my apps on me when I switch back. I use this as a media device for my work truck playing music and videos daily and have no complaints as of yet. I put an extra memory card in to store videos. Only thing I miss is the IR to use tablet as remote. You will be happy with this tablet and I would recommend it over most other tablets out there. I love the physical button and that's why I stick with Samsung.

I love Samsung Galaxy, this is my second one. It does everything I need. Email, games, movies. The size is perfect for me. The price was great. I love that you can add memory.

This tablet has 32 GB storage before SD Card. Enough to put on apps without running out of space (a problem with 8 GB tablets and often with 16 GB tablets). Fast too. Glass surface feels nice, maybe fragile without careful handling. Tried other tablets with 8 or 16 GB and always ran out of space. You still cannot move pre-installed apps to SD card (an Android annoyance). You cannot uninstall pre-installed apps. (My reason for only 4 stars). It has a speaker but get earplugs/phones for music or movies. 8 inch size good compromise between 7 and larger 10 for reading and media. Battery runs down quickly. Front and rear cameras. Complete access to Google Play Store.

This was an upgrade for another Tab that had seen better days. I'm hoping this one holds up just as well as the previous one that was many years old. The Tab A has always been great for my needs as a quick reference when it isn't feasible to boot up your main system. It's also great to read books on your reader app of choice, It's great for a quick check of e-mail. There are many other apps out there to help in whatever endeavor you choose to use it for as well! The screen color and resolution is over HD but not quite full HD but it is crisp and clear so watching a movie looks as good as it should!

Simple and easy to use. A bit slow, so I would not recommend if you want to multi-task or run heavy apps. Super light making it easy on the hands. The screen is large enough to read for an extended period of time. Paired with a great battery life, this makes the tablet a good companion for lounging and taking Ina good novel from time to time.

The only complaint I have about this tablet is the complaint I have about ALL Samsung tablets: the video (whether it's your own or Netflix or whatever) just plays dark. The other thing that drives me nuts about Samsung tablets is how hard it is to open up the SD card slot. It takes a special tool or a really thin paper clip and that's a pain. Why can't they have a little door and you just push on the card and it pops up. There are too many delicate things that could go wrong. Other than that, this is a very nice tablet for reading eBooks, web browsing and watching video while traveling. It's pretty lightweight and responsive. Since no one seems to have thought that 7" tablets need more than 8 gigs, this is a the perfect alternative. I'd definitely get some protection for any tablet (a cover, a screen protector) but this will fit into your purse or briefcase. The speaker is pretty good. IThe tablet is a little slow on the uploading and sometimes it's a little slower connecting to WiFi (it doesn't have a big processor) but all in all, it's a pretty good tablet And it's a GREAT alternative to an iPad, and costs much less. Plus there's that MicroSD card slot for expandable memory. I'd buy it again. I'd recommend it.

I had a Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 before this one. And promised myself I wouldn't by another Samsung tablet. But I couldn't beat the price and the size. Perfect for reading, plus it has a blue light filter built it which really helps with the night reading. Also use it to play games and answer emails. Probably the wrong size to really work, work on. But overall good performance, nice screen, decent camera and for the price you can't go wrong.

I have updated to this conveniently sized Samsung tablet which fits nicely in my coat pocket and is crisp and fast. The display is awesome and both cameras are wonderful. The expandable memory is outstanding and the low price is easy to justify. I would recommend it to anyone!!

I pushed this for us as a street vendor at events. It's the perfect size, easy to use, nice bright screen, fast enough for occasional use, and has great battery life! Very happy with this tablet, and got it for a great price!

I purchased this as a last minute Christmas for my brother, got a good price it’s regularly $199 I paid $149. Also offers much more space than his previce 8gb 7 inch tab. Good camera, bigger screen which is a plus, can’t go wrong.

This is my second tablet A for my wife. Its perfect size and easy to use. Has plenty of memory and some nice features. Nice camera and with a flash, what I always look for in a tablet. Excellent purchase price for this tablet.

The tablet is the perfect size, large enough for easy use and viewing apps and small enough for travel. It does more than I bargained for I can take and view all my photo libraries. You can check and create emails as well as review, edit or create word of Excel documents. The graphics are great for streaming videos or to download and watch movies offline. The battery is also excellent I watched 2 movies and played games while traveling by plane and still had 70% battery life. It is also awesome for social media apps, games or online shopping. Overall a great a tablet at a great price. I loved mine so I ran out to get my wife one.

Love this tablet. Camera, screen size very good. Old tablet was a Samsung 4 and was slow. This is faster and was really easy to set up. Glad I got it.

This was the perfect gift for my little nephew. When I went to visit family my almost 4 year old nephew asked if he could use my tablet. I asked if he needed any help downloading games and he replied No Thank you Uncle Ron, I know how to do it. He was whipping thru the games choices like he was a pro. We had the best time together playing games. So before I left I knew I had to get him a tablet. I'm used to using Samsung because they are great products. Very easy to use, yes, even for a 4 year old. I picked this one because of the screen size, the memory and the price.

One of, if not the best, tablets I've ever purchased. Perfect size, can hold it with one hand (but I've got big hands). The 32 Gig of memory makes the difference. Plenty of room for as many apps as you want, and a lot of music and video. Fast and dependable. This is my gaming tablet, and I have another Tab A, the 10" model with a 64 Gig SD card, for all my music and movies. You can't go wrong with this one for portable fun.
