Originally purchased as a gift for my elderly mother to replace her old 8-inch tablet but it wasn't good for her (she didn't like the aspect ratio of this one compared to her old one, and she didn't like that this doesn't have a physical Home button at the bottom as her old one does). I planned on returning this to the store when I found something else to give to her but I wound up keeping it because it came in handy. Nice to use when I need something a little bigger than my phone but not as big as my other tablet. 64 GB is a lot of storage space compared and the amount of RAM makes it run pretty smoothly.

Good tablet and I like having a pure version of Android as my old tab was a Amazon Fire with the restrictive Amazon version of Android. This tablet pops quickly, real fly's, and the battery holds really well so far, 1 month into it. The only reason for not giving it a 5 is those useless Samsung apps, I can't uninstall them so I have to disable them as they raise their ugly "wanna connect to the Samsung store?" heads.

Samsung tablets are pretty durable and reliable. In my opinion for what I like it is very user friendly vs some other brands of tablets we have. Would recommend. Especially for kids, great size, no real problems. Samsung tablets work pretty smoothly in general, we have maybe five Samsung tablets and they're all pretty reliable and no real complaints or need to change brands. Will continue to purchase Samsung products.

I bought this to surf the web, do some light tasks for work, and to watch an unimaginable amount of YouTube and Netflix before going to sleep. Samsung hasn't disappointed me with this tablet and I would buy it all over again. It's the right size for what I want to use it for and it isn't too big to handle while at work. I bought the book cover for it and it hasn't seen any damage from being at work (in a kitchen) yet. Does it's job for what I want it to do, perfectly.

Great tablet. I have had it for over a year now and it works great. It can be a bit slow, but for reading Kindle eBooks, it does fine. I don't play games on it or watch videos, but for reading it does great. The battery lasts a long time and charges via a USB-C, which is helpful.

I've been looking for a decent 7-8" tablet for a long time ever since the venerable 2013 Nexus 7. I tried the Lenovo Tab 4 8", which had a decent 720p screen and stereo speakers, but it was really slow and was limited to 16 GB internal storage. The Lenovo Tab M8 FHD had a nice 1080p screen, but only mono speaker, and performance was pretty choppy. The TCL Tab 8 was loaded with too much Verizon bloatware, and the firmware would aggressively kill apps in the background (including Spotify). The Tab A7 lite has been refreshingly enjoyable to use. The screen is only 720p, but has decent brightness and viewing angles. It has stereo speakers that are good (but could be louder). Performance is significantly better and smoother than the Lenovo Tab M8 FHD (even with the same CPU -- this may be due to the Samsung having 4 GB RAM rather than 3 GB). Gaming is reasonable -- I can play Asphalt 9 on it, although it's choppy at times. System updates should be more regular and reliable than Lenovo or TCL. And it's Widevine L1 for Netflix, meaning you can watch content in HD -- I recall seeing someone post that it was L3, but Samsung must've pushed an update that upgraded it to L1. Each individual aspect of the tablet may not be 5 star, but as a whole package, I'm giving this 5 stars, since it beats any of its competition!

Samsung's latest entry into the 8 inch class of tablets is unfortunately a bit short. This not a terrible tablet, but it is a low budget tablet. Initial price is too high. This tablet looks good on paper has 64GB ROM, 4GB of Ram, but the GPU performs poorly and the screen shutters from page to page, The screen refresh rate is poor. The wifi says its dual band and fast but did not perform well. The display is just OK. It does not have screen sleep when cover is closed. It cannot vibrate, and has no fingerprint sensor. This tablet will not do well with games. It does have a good battery, fast charging and USB C. It also has Android 11. It barely functions as a reader. With just a little more effort from Samsung and this could have been a decent successor to the TAB S2.

Great product; great value; and a sweet deal. This tab provides great speed for everyday use including catching up on news, web browsing, watching YouTube videos, and easily rivals or beats the Kindle Fire HD 8. Intense multitasking may be a strain; 720p screen; fantastic and quality construction, build with full metal packing and dependable battery life.

This was a Christmas present for my son. His old tablet was 7 years old, easy to say he was having issues with it. So far he is absolutely loving the new tablet. it is allowing him to use apps and games the old tablet would not allow. Storage check. speed check. hopefully many years of use from this tablet just like the old Samsung it is replacing.

This tablet is awesome. We got for our son for chemotherapy appointments. He has had the tablet since 2023 and still has it. It works just as well as they day we got it. The battery life holds up fantastic matter of fact there has been times he lost in his room and we thought surely it be dead when we would find it. But it would not be. The volume is pretty good so much so on full volume you can hear it from the next room. It's pretty durable but for extra protection since the tablet was for our child we got a case for it. The display size is just right for us . Not to big and not to small . Easy to see for our son who is visually delayed. Holds a decent amount of storage. You can set up parental controls for free , and pick and choose what you want and don't want on the tablet. It's awesome and when they day comes he does ever need and upgrade we will come right back to best buy and find an awesome Samsung tablet for him.

The screen size and the weight is perfect. Feels great to use it. However the performance is not very good. Its very twitchy and its not smooth while switching between apps and scrolling on some videos. But it does plays videos smoothly. Very good for the discounted price

Purchased as gifts for my aunts and uncles who never had a tablet before. They are happy with the new Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, they find it easy to navigate and able to communicate with love ones like never before. They can easily find news, videos or games that interest them. Very affordable when on sale and makes a perfect gift.

I am pleased with this purchase. It serves my major reason for buying it. I use it for public educational purposes. I am able to download everything I need. I also use it during religious services. It's user friendly. It fits well in my bag. I always recommend this product.

This is an OK tablet. The screen is big and bright and the OS is easy to use, but the performance is pretty slow given the amount of memory (e.g. scrolling is jerky, Web pages are slow to load compared to my phone, etc). For my purposes (mainly reading), this is OK, but would be unacceptable if this was my main device for working on the Internet
