Didn't think I really NEEDED this watch, but two family members have one and I was jealous! I LOVE it! Answer phone, check messages, weather, fitness, sleep, customize faces. BMI, water intake, heart rate, I think the only thing this DOESN'T do is monitor Blood Pressure! Was NOT impressed with the watch band, but a small investment on Amazon yielded a plethora of choices! The only down side is that it only stays charged for an average of about 28 hours, so my next job will be to buy a couple more chargers for the different rooms in my house in order to always have it convenient. Love the ease of customization, and when I finally settle down to concentrate on any directions, that will probably make it that much easier.

Upgraded from the original galaxy watch to this one and I like it a lot, it has a lot more customization options and the interface is much nicer and more user friendly. My only gripe so far is the battery, sometimes I feel like my old watch lasted just a bit longer and I was hoping the Watch4 would have a longer lasting battery than my 4 year old galaxy watch. I got mine open box and it was pristine with no signs of wear or use, looked and worked like brand new.

Was initially worried about the battery life after so many negative reviews about it, however I'm happy to report this watch has 1.5-2 day battery life. Much better than 1 day watches. I wear the watch to work after charging it first thing in the morning, after 10 hr work, I go for an hr run. End the day at around 60%. Without the run I imagine I'd end up at around 70%. Then I wear it to track my sleep and it's at about 50% when I wake up. Could it be better? Always. But this watch as a whole is the envy of Apple Watch users. The watch is comfortable enough. I have smaller wrists so thick watches feel uncomfortable. This 42mm version fits nicely. I think the 46mm would be too big. If you have small wrists, you can also consider the normal Galaxy Watch 4. However, the whole appeal of this watch is the look, and it's a beauty. Either color turns heads, and gets people asking about it. The rotating dial is the best signature feature. The conversion to WearOS from Tizen is fairly seamless and most people wouldn't notice the difference until you go search for watch faces. The only thing that holds it back from perfection is the general compatibility. As others said, if it's a WearOS watch, it should support all of Google's standard apps, instead of focusing on only the Samsung ones. It would create viability if you ever change brand, and their audience would expand greatly to sell more watches.

Way more features than the older watches but battery life is still just ok. With almost everything on minimum i can get 2 days in this watch. Solid looks and so many features. I dont like how you can't use the old galaxy watch chargers on this one so i has to buy new chargers. Other than that I'm a few months in and no major complaints. This isy 3rd Samsung watch, the last one being the Gear S2 which was honestly pretty amazing. Battery life is bad on most watches, especially with the increase in features each generation.

I upgraded to this watch from the Garmin Forerunner 55. The heart rate seems mostly accurate. Sometimes I feel like it lags behind when I have a sudden increase in heart rate, or it lags behind when my heart rate returns to normal. I like that I can reply to texts and answer calls right from my watch, and the blood oxygen and ECG features are nice too. The watch does need to be charged daily, but that's really to be expected from a smartwatch that has all these capabilities. I usually charge it at night because I don't care about tracking my sleep. When it's fully charged, it will send a notification to your phone. This is nice because then I don't have to wonder if my watch is charged yet. I like the customizable faces and the ability to see the weather right on my watch face, plus the other customizable info. I'm glad I went with the rotating bezel version of this watch. I like being able to use it to go from screen to screen instead of the touchscreen. I wish the heart rate report on the phone was more detailed. On my old Garmin, it showed the heart rate minute by minute in the detailed graph in the app. That way, I could look back at it later and see exactly what my heart rate was at a specific time. On this watch, it just shows a graph with the high and low for a whole hour. I can click into that to see a more detailed report of the high and low for portions of the hour, but it's just a bar showing a range and not specific numbers. I strongly preferred the way it showed things in more detail on the Garmin app. The heart rate sometimes stops reading though, even though I have it set to monitor constantly. This has happened 3 times so far. When this happens I've had to turn the watch off and back on again, and then it works fine. I just hope this doesn't become a constant issue, because then I'll have to take it back to the store. I wish it had built in on screen workouts, instead of trying to mess with third party apps to find one that offers this feature. I do like this watch, but I guess time will tell if it was worth the money.

The Galaxy watch is amazing. It has several features I use on the daily besides telling time. I reference the step counte r to ensure I am on pace to meet my daily goals. It tracks my sleep patterns to be able to share with my medical provider. I also have check my stress level and It helps me with breathe sessions to lower my stress level. Overall this a solid investment.

Bixby requires your samsung phone to also have bixby, so minus one star for that, love the spinny bezel which makes the phone so much more usable when i cant use the touchscreen, and battery life is about a day, which is fine.

I have been using this watch for two years without any problems. However, I recently noticed that the battery life has decreased significantly, even when battery saver mode is enabled and the watch is not in use. The battery now only lasts about ten hours before being depleted.

This is my first smartwatch so I don't have a lot of perspective in terms of comparison. But WearOS seems to be the future, and this is about the only watch that has it right now. I can compare the 'regular' to the Classic, as I bought both. I kept the Classic. It is bigger and noticeably heavier, which I did not want. But the regular Watch4, while small and light, also felt and looked much cheaper. I was also concerned about the Aluminum casing holding up to daily knocks and scrapes over time. I don't care what marketing name they attach to it, aluminum will never compare to stainless steel in durability. Also, the Classic has the screen recessed so it is further protected. And that surround is the moving bezel - something that I couldn't see living without once I'd used it. Swiping a tiny screen (especially with less than clean hands, or gloves) is no way to navigate a device this small. I'm still adjusting to getting the most out of a smartwatch, but I'm confident of the hardware choice, at least. I did buy this more as a notification-access device than workout monitor. As for the health features, I'm not certain how much I trust them yet, But as an adjunct for critical notices, it's working well. You do get granular control over what comes through, which is essential.

Bought this for my wife, and she loves it! It syncs with her Google phone perfectly, so she get all her alerts, calendars and texts/emails almost faster than they hit her phone. It's nicely styled so she can wear it every day. And best of all, it's built well- so it can hangdle the daily bumps and dings that come with everyday use.

I've seen plenty of reviews saying that the watch's battery barely lasts long, thats not the "case". I've had my on with full brightness and with sleep tracking and it goes down maby 40% at most throughouttheday. Most issue of battery life come down to how many things it's doing at once and what it's being connected to. If the watch is running too many apps at a time (map, workout tracking, etc) then there will definitely be an increase in battery drainage. The biggest influence I've seen online is if the watch is connected via Bluetooth or through carrier LTE, it seems (at least from what I come to understand online, if im wrong please let me know) that it has to spend a lot more effort in order to use LTE data resulting in a low battery life and in some instances overheating. I have the Bluetooth version of the watch so i can't say for certain if it's a problem only for LTE, but so far i haven't had any issues. If you are planning on getting a Samsung smart watch (or any smart watch) the main advantage of LTE over Bluetooth is you have the ability to ues your watch without the need to be within a close proximity of your phone to receive notification and calls. If you usually keep your phone with you most of the day then you might be better off with the Bluetooth version. If i find out more information regarding battery life, or if any of the information I have is wrong I will update my review. Overall great watch.

The app selection and screen quality are superb. Where I think this falls short is the battery life. This is most likely the trade off between the screen brightness and quality as well as the apps running in the background.

Short battery life. I purchased this to monitor my sleeping and enjoyed many of its features to the point that I fell in love with it. Then it broke my heart. The battery is no doubt tiny, and that's no doubt the cause, but the battery can't be swapped very easily (and no doubt isn't intended to be swapped by the end user). After about six months of use it wouldn't remain charged long enough to last through an eight hour sleep. I had to put it on power saver to get through a day at work with it, which meant many of the features I fell in love with wouldn't work. I've since purchased another SmartWatch from a different company that I don't enjoy as much but claims to have a better battery life. I'll find out whether or not it's true in a few months.

I do like this watch. There are a few things that are different from my last one. One of them is that now all watch faces and apps are done through Google play store. There are not as many faces available as there used to be for free. Another thing is that you have to pay for a lot more widget's. It's installed with only one option and if you want something else you have to pay for it. One example is the calendar. It only shows you two weeks, not the whole month and if you want that one, you have to pay for it. Google needs to stop being greedy. I'm also having problems with the battery. I have to charge it every night because the battery is usually at 50 percent or less when I go to sleep. You will probably have to buy a new watch band also. The one it comes with is extremely uncomfortable.
