Note 20 Ultra, No Regrets.

I recently upgraded to the Z fold 3 from the Note 20 Ultra, the Notes have always been my go to phones. With that said, the Folds have always been on my radar, just to new and expensive to get. So for those of you who may be reluctant or on the fence about moving to the Fold 3, I'm going to say flat out I LOVE it.
I loved the large screen on my Notes, its always been the key feature I loved. I very much stream video content on the go. So having that big screen that plays the video is great. It displays it bigger than on the Note 20 Ultra. Sure you could zoom in on some apps to fill the screen, but on the Fold 3 you don't and its fantastic. The crease in the middle doesn't distract at all when playing videos.
Second the battery does drain slightly quicker, especially if you use the large screen more often than not. I get almost a 12-13 hours of use, watching maybe an hour of video. Using apps on the large screen and small screen from time to time. I don't feel I need to change my usage for fear of the battery draining to quickly. Some days when on the go for longer than 12 plus hours and its getting low, I have a quick charger in my car. An hour on it and BAM, back to 70-80%. So Battery, not so bad.
Now sure the cameras aren't on par with the Note 20 Ultra or the S series, but they still are quite good. But camera quality doesn't matter much to me, I take the occasional picture or selfie. So the 10 mp selfie camera on the front is fine for me and 12 mp ones on the back get it done for me.
I also thought the weight would bother me, but having a Note 20 Ultra or S 21 Ultra in your pocket is already quite heavy. The weight change isn't noticeable, in my opinion. Also those phones always feel like I might drop them easily, because my fingers barely get around them. When this phone is folded, it feels great in my hand. When I want a bigger screen though, BAM, unfold and bigger screen than all Ultra Models. Speaking of that screen, I thought it might feel cheap, like on the previous models. It doesn't.
So if you've been thinking about these Z Fold phones, I personally think they finally got them out of the test phase and their ready for primetime. Especially since their is no new Note this year. Even if they do introduce a new Note next year, I think Ive finally moved on to a Bigger, Better and Foldier Phablet.

As my first folding device this phone is amazing. Being able to watch videos on a big screen takes entertainment to another level. The only downside is that the phone is a little more fragile than other, but if you are careful or buy the Geek squad protection you should be fine.

Great screen in and out. Colors are clear and precise. Runs fast and movies look great. A little heavier than i expected especially with a case on it but definitely worth the money for a 2 for 1. Phone and tablet

Phone was amazing! The few things I didn’t like were the camera wasn’t as clear as I would like it to be and how narrow the phone was when closed. I would like more if the phone would be a normal size candy at style and a little thinner but I get it.

I came from a GS9+ so the folding screen is still new to me and this review may change later, but if it does its because it'll go to 5 stars.
First off, i still use the front screen a lot and wish it was wider, like the standard large screens on most smart phones. I have a feeling that 5 years down the road that will be the case. The folding portion and to be more for when I'm planning on spending more time with it, not just quickly replying to someone. Unfortunately, most of the time i use a phone is for quick replies so... that will depend on personal preference. I may change that habit more in the future as i get used to having the phone.
Ironically the first part of this was typed using the phone closed. I just opened it up and WOW is it better. Partially just having a massive screen, but it's made more evident from the narrow front screen i was typing on.
Overall I'd say get the phone if you like the idea, but it's probably not going to be mainstream for another 2 or 3 years. I definitely think it's the "future" of phones though.

While this is my very first flip phone I will say that is is actually not as bas a I first expected. The phone fits fairly fine in my pockets but I can see it being an issue for people in skinny jeans. The picture is absolutely beautiful and the 120 hz displays are very nice, but because of this the battery drains fairly quickly. Another issue i have is that the small display on the front is a little too small and typing anything on it will lead to typing errors and the keyboard when the phone is folded open is a bit of adjustment but not that bad. In the end this phone is really cool but not for everyone.

Great phone. Multitasking and media consumption is better than any other phone I have owned. Only downside is that the camera is not the best compared to what other phones have nowadays, but coming from an older iPhone, it is so much better.

The front screen is narrow but still does all functions well. The double wide screen is amazing, you can hardly notice the crease down the middle. It's like having a tablet. It's a bit heavier and bulkier than an average cell phone but not by much that you'd mind. Battery life is decent. Great phone, especially if you read, watch movies, or on social media.

I love this phone so much. I came from an iPhone 12 pro max and this thing is a game changer. I'm still amazed when I open the screen. I pre-ordered so I got a 200$ Samsung credit with the phone and a bunch of promos. Pretty awesome on Samsung part. do I miss imessage? yes... is it a deal breaker? no, because I would give up imessage for this folding feature. everyone is always amazed when I open the phone, it's definitely a conversation starter. I've already dropped it once and it survived the fall, so I don't think these phones are as brittle as people make it out to be.
the battery life isnt the best but it's not the worst. I'm constantly around chargers so that wasn't a deal breaker for me. it's a PHABLET (phone and tablet) guys. it's insane.
if you're thinking about it..
do it. buy the phone. you won't regret it. especially if you're sick of the same old iPhone has been coming out with. it'll blow your mind.

This phone with a spigen case is too heavy for me. The cam does not take high quality pictures. I went back to using my business Note 20 Ultra, and I recently purchased an awesome iPhone 13 Pro Max. I use the Z Fold 3 now to play games, and surf the net. I will never purchase another Z Fold.
