Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you buy a folding phone from Samsung, always buy the accidental handling insurance, or better, if you have total plus it will automatically give you the BB protection which includes AH. If you dont, dont expect Samsung to honor your warranty. My Fold 5 formed a line down the center of the inner display. Not due to me or any damage from mishandling. First major problem, service request on the website. When selecting ‘inner flex display damaged’ it takes you to a page that wants you to pay $615.94 to replace the inner display. No option to send it in for warranty. It took me going through all of the options and selecting another option that concerned the display. Not once in any option did the system offer to have my inner display changed at the promo price ($250) which I qualify for! Long story short, Samsung is claiming a ‘scratch on the lcd frame’ caused the inner display damage and voids my warranty. They have to prove it but refuse to do so. I have two conversations recorded of two samsung reps and a supervisor all claiming that a scratch can cause that damage and they dont give a crap. One of the reps when I brought up the repair promo price I qualified for, she claimed that I cant do that because I have damage that needs to be repaired at the same time which is the scratch and would require replacing the housing!!! I argued a scratch isnt damage and doesnt need the housing replaced!!! Ultimately I sent an email to the Samsung CEO and Executive level office. I am hoping they step in and clear my repair. I dont think I will be buying any Samsung products in the furture and I dont recommend anyone else buy their products either.

Which is not what I expected on an excellent open box. Otherwise I would love to try this phone. So I will try my luck again.
