Unfortunately I am very disappointed in the Fold 7. My intent was to upgrade the Fold 5 I have, and the initial review of the phone in store was promising. The appearance of it being just like a phone and not "the smaller fold" made it seem like a major breakthrough. However, after receving, the performance was terrible. It was slower than my Fold 5 for just about every task. It did not show notifications properly, shut down android auto while driving multiple times, and the official case that released with it only covered half of the phone. It also was not compatible with the new Galaxy watch classic LTE I purchased from Samsung unlocked (at least according to Verizon reps we could not activate it after trying for hours)... I have never returned an upgrade before because I at least got a little faster if anything and it activated by just switching it on and activating the sim. However, this was a very painful process and my experience got worse after. So there is a first time for everything, and I will be returning my first upgraded phone. For $2,000 I expect the phone to be significantly better than a model 2 years prior, and for the overall process to be smooth. This was painful and did not get any value out of it. For first time fold users I would recommend the Fold 5 or 6. Yes, it is thicker, but I get a lot of compliments and inquiries about it because of the actual fold design and since it still works well I will be using it as long as it works well or at least until these companies can make an upgrade experience better like they used to.

So far the best Galaxy Fold yet! Unbelievably thin and new hinge design is very solid. Overall very pleased! Only small complaint is the phone doesn't lay flat due to the camera lens sticks out. Very small negative in comparison!
