⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m honestly so happy with my Z Fold8 512GB! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about switching to a foldable phone, but I absolutely love it. My favorite feature has to be the multitasking—I love being able to have two apps open at the same time and get things done so much easier. The screen is beautiful, everything is fast and smooth, and 512GB gives me plenty of space for all my pictures, videos, and apps. I use it every day and it has quickly become one of my favorite phones I’ve ever owned.

I buy pretty much every new phone that comes out. This phone is just awesome. Been awhile since I've boughten a new phone and actually feel like it's need tech in my hands. Only thing that could make it better, would be the Ultra's cameras. But the cameras are enough for daily use.

So far she is in love with her samsung galaxie z fold8. Lots of cool features and the big screen when open but nice size screen when closed. Like having 2 phones in 1 ... totally recomended

I always said "this is my year to buy a foldable". Ive probably said that since the fold 5. I have absolutely no regrets with the Fold 8. Its the perfect size and the inner screen is beautiful.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is a fantastic upgrade from the Google Pixel 10 Pro. The screen real estate is significantly better, and the battery life, paired with the snappy processor, provides a much smoother user experience overall. My only real critique is the camera setup; I would much prefer a dedicated telephoto lens over an ultra-wide sensor. Despite that, it is an otherwise stellar device that I highly recommend.

The best phone I’ve ever had. I use two phones, Apple and Samsung. This is my first foldable and it is a must have experience.

I like this phone because it has a bigger screen. I used the Zfold 6 and now this one. It's thinner and the battery lasts longer.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 is a pretty remarkable device that benefits from many years and iterations of the foldables that came before it. The size and screen aspect ratios are what makes this a much better foldable that the Z Fold Ultra with its longer more square design. The Zfold8’s screens simply look better and have a similar aspect ratio to all of the other screens that you use regularly such as your TV or computer. The Fold8’s design is great and it is easy to use and handle as well as being very pocketable. It’s interesting that you must have an appropriate case in order to get magnetic accessories to work with the phone. I guess that they just weren’t able to find enough space internally to accommodate any magnets. Both screens are very bright and work very well indoors and are decent outdoors as well. You can set the phone up so that the outer and inner displays reflect the layout of each other or you can set them to have fully independent layouts, which is nice. The folding mechanism feels nice when opening and closing the phone, but only supports the phone being closed or fully open. There is no in between position so that you can use the phone like a mini laptop. The screen crease is still visible but only when viewing the screen at certain angles. The crease is minimal and doesn’t distort the image when viewed straight on. Battery life is okay, but if you use the inner (larger) screen a lot (for several hours at a time), which is probably why you bought a foldable phone in the first place, you will be pushing the phone’s limits to last throughout the day without having to top it up. Recharging through the USB-C port is pretty fast and the Samsung magnetic charger is also quicker than the previous generation. The biggest downside to the phone, in my opinion, is the Android OS and Samsung’s One UI. I’ll probably get some flack for this, but the OS just isn’t as polished, nice, intuitive, and as well thought out as that other popular phone brand is. While it is generally a bit more configurable, it just seems like it’s similar to the original Windows 3.1. It seems to be built on a more text-based interface with a GUI slapped onto it as an afterthought. The screens and controls aren’t very consistent from app to app, which makes it a bit confusing at times. Also, the controls at the bottom of the screen for switching apps, going to the home screen, and going back, are randomly hidden by some apps. Yes, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen to bring them back temporarily, but this is unintuitive and it makes the experience confusing to a novice when you get an app in full screen mode with no apparent controls on it, as in now what do I do? Samsung’s One UI is fairly nice, but makes the phone operate in slightly different ways from standard Android, so you have to figure out how things work specifically for the Fold8 or the Galaxy line of phones. I have used several Android tablets so this issue really stands out. Also, the gestures for managing multiple apps running on the inner screen don’t seem very intuitive and are hard to remember as they are normally hidden and aren’t particularly obvious. My biggest issue with Android is the hot mess that badges are. You know, the little red circles on the upper right portion of the app icons with a number indicating how many items need attention. First of all, they don’t seem to work very consistently and either stop displaying for a particular app altogether or simply display more items than the app is actually notifying you of. Also, if you go into a particular app and view the items its notifying you about, it’s a 50-50 chance that the badge will be reset. The Android OS is apparently based on the Notifications shade dropdown and a lot of apps force you to go here and remove the notification from the listing of all recent notifications in order to reset an app icon’s badge. Then, some apps will reset the badge according to what you have viewed within the app. This is very inconsistent, confusing, and makes the user have to take deliberate extra actions to clear some of the badges. The other issue is app updates. There seems to be several different locations that you need to go to and several different apps that you must use to keep everything updated. Also, I received some sort of update the other day that needed the phone to be rebooted, but there was no way to tell what was actually being updated. I don’t know if it was an update to the Android OS, One UI, or something else. So, all-in-all, I find the user experience of Android and One UI on the phone to be a bit annoying and occasionally very frustrating. So, based on my experience with the Fold8 hardware, its Android OS, and One UI, I have knocked my rating down by one star to emphasize that the user experience has some definite room for improvement. Otherwise, it is a very functional device that has a lot of advantages over a standard non-folding phone.

Samsung finally got this right. My last foldable was the Fold 4, and I disliked it for a few reasons. First, the narrow and tall cover display was practically useless — I had to open the main screen for almost everything, which defeated the purpose of having a cover display at all. It also felt unstable in one‑handed use and was easy to drop. Second, the inner screen’s aspect ratio wasn’t great for watching videos or consuming content. Third, the battery life was underwhelming. All of these issues have been addressed with the Fold 8, and I’m genuinely happy with it. My only minor complaint is the missing telephoto lens, but I rarely use that anyway, so it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall, it’s a foldable that finally works the way I want it to.

The form factor of this phone is the best part. Having a long overdue one-handed screen option when it is closed is amazing, and then a 4:3 widescreen beautiful inner screen when open is perfect for videos and in portrait for social feeds. Battery life has been excellent, too, which is appreciated after having small Samsung batteries for so long! Unfortunately, after only about a month my front outer display started flashing and displaying faint green lines for about a day, then the next day it completely died. Inner display is fine still so I'm still using the phone. I'm not sure what exactly caused this, but my old Fold 7 broke in the same fashion. For those of you hoping to have some peace of mind with Best Buy's Total Tech warranty, they apparently changed insurance providers earlier this year so the process is now UNBELIEVABLY INFURIATING for both the customer and the Geek Squad techs. They used to be able to process express replacements in store super easily, hand in old phone, get a refund or equivalent device right away, transfer your data before you leave. But now Geek Squad will say it has to be done online, then when you go online it says to go into the store and talk to Geek Squad. When you chat online, they send you a link that says to go in store. When you call support, they say to go online which then says to go in store. I had to go back and forth on the phone with a call center rep and the Geek Squad tech, only for them to say it's still within 60 days and it could just be returned out of policy or something. I'd have to surrender my device and wait for a new one to arrive in store, which would take at least a week where I'd have no phone for work/MFA and lose all my data. They said I could wait until it's in stock, but these are so popular that after a week there's still none anywhere near me. My best bet at this point seems to be to buy another phone, transfer to that, get my replacement ordered, transfer again, then return the spare phone.

I had the first iPhone and As a long-time smartphone enthusiast who has owned early iPhones, the Pixel Fold 8 and 9, and almost every Galaxy Fold generation (Fold 2, Fold 3, Fold 4, Fold 7), I can confidently say the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is the pinnacle of folding phones. The new wider cover display completely transforms everyday usability. Looking back, the narrow cover screens on earlier Galaxy Folds felt cramped, but this wider form factor feels natural to type on and use single-handed. And I actually do like fitting 3 apps at once. It's also refreshing to have a smaller phone. It's just perfect. The outer screen works as a small, light phone. The inner works in landscape for media or multitasking and on portrait as a large iPad like vertical display. And it's powerful enough to power my Xreal glasses or DeX when I need to work.

I have always liked the ability to use the larger screen on my Samsung Fold phone (which I use for business) when I am away from a computer, but this new "passport" sized format takes the cake for both portability (when folded) and screen size (when unfolded). The aspect ration on the older Fold phones really took some getting used to (and I never truly loved it), but the aspect ratio on both screens is soooo much better now. My eyes natively adjust to it and websites, video's etc. just look so much better. Since this is a business phone, I don't miss the extra camera features at all. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase, and the service and advice I received from the Best Buy staff when I went to the store to "touch and feel" the new phones before buying one.

This phone looked and feels amazing! Everyone expects perfection each new flagship, and this is as close to perfect as it gets for me. Camera may not be as current as some ultra/pro models on other android and apple phones, but it makes up for it with a fantastic battery life, great form factor, and an amazing experience when it comes to watching movies, browsing social media, or reading your favorite e-books. 10/10 recommend for anyone on the edge about buying this.

I have recently upgraded to the Z Fold 8 from the Z Flip 7. When folded, the Fold 8 isn't much larger than the Flip 7 folded (it's actually a tiny bit thinner!). Opening the Fold is like having a small tablet. It's great for surfing the web, shopping, working, etc. The screens are clear & colors vivid. Battery life is quite good depending on usage. The availability of Samsung branded cases is very limited but after market options are plenty. Overall, I am very satisfied.

While some apps take a bit to get used to on a different screen, I really love being able to actuallg fit my phone in pockets because its shorter, and opening it up gives me the perfect size tablet for classes to take notes, complete readings, etc. I'm disabled and can't regularly carry my laptop around, and this allows me to do pretty much anything I would want my laptop for as well as regular phone things.

I can't stop talking about this phone. I have been a Flip phone uses for years and because of this new form factor I decided to switch. The size is perfect and One UI along with Good Lock have been a dream so far for customizing my phone the way I want. I find myself using my tablet less and just using my phone more. I find the battery a big improvement over my previous Flip. I definitely see why this phone have broken records.

Initially, the compact size of this phone presented a unique adjustment; however, after two weeks of consistent use, other devices now appear disproportionately large. While the camera performance can be inconsistent, the daily user experience is exceptional. Key features such as multitasking, Samsung DeX, and portability have all met expectations.

I absolutely love this phone and everything about it, the form factor feels right and the size is great for big hands and the quality of the screen is amazing included the inner screen, stunning visuals and lastly the crease in the middle isnt noticble only at certain lighting and conditions but overall great phone
