Long time iPhone user. Decided to try something new and always had my eye on a foldable. I knew the Duo would be coming out but I still opted for the Fold 8 Ultra. Personally, I like the larger size of the Ultra than than the regular 8/Duo.
Last Android I had was a Note so I'm definitely loving the larger screen size on this Ultra. Great for watching content/movies/etc. The larger screen size is everything for me with this phone. It just accentuates everything and gives you the flexibility of 2 screens to use for daily tasks and content viewing.

This was my first fold phone and I am never going back. This thing is amazing. The multitasking, selfies on the back cameras, and of course the display size. Amazing! Sure, it doesn't use the whole screen for videos, but it is still a really good size for content viewing. The battery life is surprisingly good too. The camera trade off between the S Ultra models is definitely noticeable when trying to zoom in on objects far away, but for normal photos and videos, I can barely tell.

Battery is battery-ing. Lasts a pretty long time. Can go almost 72 hrs without a charge and I'm only allowing it to charge to 90% to protect the battery. The wide screen is sweet! When you open to full size to watch or stream anything, chefs kiss! Very vibrant color and definition. Only gripe and reason for 4 stars- the camera. I thought the camera would be better. Idk if I have it on the wrong settings but I went to a concert recently and my buddy who sat next to me got much better videos. Her galaxy S25 ultra far out-performed the pixels on my fold. I will say, its much better than my old galaxy zflip6, but the S25 (and Im sure later versions of the same phone) is still king of the galaxies!

I bought this phone for the bigger screen. After coming from slab phones. I am finding that I rarely use the larger screen. I do however love how fast the phone charges and how long it holds a charge. It also finally has enough storage for me as I download a lot of fioes with my phone.

It’s my first foldable phone and love it. It’s helped me get more things done on the road without opening my laptop. Email attachments are easier to work with along with having better video calls to see what’s going on.
