I added the Gear 2 for my Samsung Galaxy S5. It has become my daily wear watch. I use it to track my daily walks, check my heart rate, the calendaring feature and on occasion have used the "Dick Tracy" mode to answer calls.

Cool Watch, But I'd Get the Gear 2 NEO

Picked up the watch at the local BB and was very impressed with the quality feel of the device. Connecting it to my Note 3 was a breeze and I was able to change settings with ease. The only gripe I have is the extra 100 buck charge for having the camera. I honestly don't see myself ever using it PLUS it makes a super loud shutter sound that you CANNOT turn off. I will be returning this watch and getting the Gear 2 NEO since it is the exact same watch minus the camera (and a little more plastic). The camera, to me, isn't really useful and doesn't warrant a 100 price premium. If i want to take a good pic..I'll just pull out the Note 3 from my back pocket and take a 13MP High Quality pic lol. All in all...it's cool tech but I'd get the lesser model.

I am a fitness trainer so having the ability to see who is calling or sending a message beforehand is great, specially if I am in the middle of a sesión. The exercise App, do not work as I´d like, it only gives me my heart rate but not distance, average pace, or speed. It´s a shame, I have taken it twice to be calibrated and they say it´s working but it doesn´t. Another feature that is not 100% reliable is the temperature. It seems that with frequency it stays reading the temp that was the previous evening, and when finally changes, at night it stays with the temp that was read during the day. Other than that it works great for what it was made,as a compliment for your phone!

I use the Galaxy Note Edge and I absolutely love this watch. I had the original Gear for a couple of weeks before they announced this one and I have to say that this one is leaps and bounds better. The IR blaster is a great addition and the IP67 dust/water resistance is spectacular. It has decent battery life for a full color touch screen watch. I am getting 2 to 3 days before I have to charge. Initially I was charging every day, but I think I was just messing with it more and the battery hadn't been "broken in" yet. The app store is sort of bare, but that is the problem with the Tizen OS. There just isn't a lot of developers out there yet.

The watch is great! I cant tell you how many times ive wondered away from my phone and didnt miss a call thanks to the ability to have conversations on my watch! I use it to control my music while im riding my bike, i can respond to texts while im driving and my phone is away and in my pocket. Its a great tool! Only real con is apps are limited and other than the default watch faces dont have shortcuts. Im not a fan of the default so i feel limited by this. Also there is no way to turn off the shutter noise on the cam. I see why that would be a "safety" feature, it just deters me from using it in otherwise appropriate situations

had it for 2 days and loved the first Gear but this Gear seems more refined love watch on app, camera, video, wallpaper, but would have liked to have a keyboard(flexy)for responding to texts than having pretext, swipe feture for camera and keypad(few extra steps)love the idea of being able to swap straps, but at the same time there needs to be more apps for such a big company that has SDK open for developers.Besies that have no complaints

A good smart watch. Has a pretty long range away from your phone. Camera is better than the first generation. Battery life is good. Wish there were more apps available.

I have had it for a few weeks. It is great for recording pedometer. S-voice is high quality but does not always recognize what I am saying. The camera is not always clear. I wish it would show longer on the notification or vibrate like my phone does. I do not always catch my notifications about incoming phone class or texts. It is a great watch, durable and I like the band. It is stylish and looks nice no matter my dress, business to casual.

Really good smart watch for the features it has, the only downside is I'd thought it would be android driven like the phones. It has a Tizen system so there are limited apps available for download. On the positive, you can easily change the watch bands, there us a camera that shoots pictures and video and you can change watch faces with the tap of a finger.

This is the first smart watch I have ever purchased. In the end it is still a watch. It reminds me of the original smart phones of yesterday, but in color. Navigation is simple and the touch screen very responsive. Limited apps, due to the processing, requirements of a link to your smart device and the size of the screen. Camera works great, so does the video. It does seem to drain my phone battery much much faster because of the constant sync but what do you expect. Battery life for it seems great. All in all does what I bought it for.

The fitness apps seem to perform all right. The heart beat monitor always works fine. The band is no problem and is easy to adjust to my small wrist. It links with my phone and set up was a snap. I like the camera being in a position to use. It's captured some nice photos and video that I could easily have missed. It is meeting my expectations.

This Gear2 watch pairs extremely well with Samsung Galaxy 4 phone. Simple yet elegant interface supports camera app., fitness apps. email and call notifications plus more. Normal charge takes about 1.5-2 hours and last up to 3 days depending on usage. A very stylish and light weight watch for under $300. Am very pleased with my watch purchase and highly recommend this sleek Samsung Gear2 watch.

I was hesitant to get a smart watch because your phone can do all these things. But after I got it I can't be without it. The best parts are the notifications, you can read texts and answer calls while your phone is in your pocket or purse. Worst part battery life only lasts 2-3 days before needs charging.

I think for the money its a good buy. The watch is handy if your phone is across the room and you want to check emails, or answer a call. I wished that they would make it so that you could txt to talk. It would make things easier. For the person that don't want too much in a watch its a great buy. I would recommend this watch to a friend.

I have the note 4 and It is not always easy to feel it vibrate. As an attorney I need my phone on vibrate in court. The gear 2 vibrates on my wrist and notifies me of everything. It also does everything well. I can text answer phone on my wrist. Remote for TV. Always have my phone on me but don't always want to pull it out of my pocket.

The watch has fantastic features. The ability to actually talk and answer on the watch is incredible. The camera taking ability is adequate for the size of the watch. Only thing I would say it seems to very easy to disengage the step counting feature when not desired. Other than remembering to plug it in at the end of the day.

Had to replace my wife's Gear Fit after display quit and it was not in stock, so we got this one and she loves it. I think it's a little big for a woman, but she thinks it's OK. Loves the extras this Smartwatch has over the Gear Fit. She is not a real techie, but she learned of many of the additional features very quickly.

I was originally worried about spending alot of money on a smart watch that was rather new and not alot of detailed testing performed on it yet but after I got it I just love it and can't imagine being without it. It lets me be aware of incoming phone calls and messages discretely when I am in meetings and several apps thru the Samsung app store adds to the benefits of the watch. Definately worth the money
