If you're able to get it in stock, a refurbished ssd is an excellent upgrade from an old hdd. I used this just to upgrade my parents' desktop computer. There wasn't much data on their original drive so this capacity was good enough for them and the speeds are excellent as expected.

Ive had my drive for about 6 months and have it setup as storage for my security cameras. The drive is constantly being written to and I haven't had any issues out of it. The drive is performing really well considering I bought it as refurbished. Definitely considering buying an other one.

It is basically new. Faster than most and priced to compete.

Used this SSD to refresh a seven year old laptop. What a difference. Just using this SSD with a refresh of windows 10 worked great. I also like to use Samsung SSD's because they offer free simple cloning software for their devices on their website.

SSD I've received was in excellent condition. I was worried that it would have a lot of usage on it, but Samsung magician reported only 0.5 TB written. Really happy that I went with certified drive over the brand new.

I love this drive, HUGE improvement compared to mechanical drive. Upgraded my T1700 that used to take 2-4 minutes to boot up, now in less then 30 seconds, my desktop is ready to go. I should of upgraded a lot sooner.

Worked fine as a secondary drive for a new computer that I was building. Installing the Samsung Magician software, the drive came up OK and had only a minimal usage on it. With the amount of money that was saved, I can live with that...

It works well without any hiccup. The open-box price is reasonable. I like Samsung EVO solid state drive because Samsung Data Migration and Samsung Magician are free downloads.

I was running long running jobs on my laptop that were taking 8 hours on a hard drive. I swapped the hard drive with this SSD and it ran in two hours! Fantastic!

Evey geek squad recertified ssd I got was pretty much brand new with barely any writes. I figure might as well save some money and get these, as they seem to be open box and not really used.

I bought this Samsung SSD drive for $40. It was easy to install and migrate from my old SATA. I would recommend performing any firmware updates before migrations. I have a pc that is about 5yrs old with windows 7. I sometimes reacted slow when disk activity was high. I put this drive in and it was a noticeable response improvement. I would recommend this product.

If you know how to format a hard drive and install an operating system, just buy it. Nothing comes with it except the brown box but who cares. Samsung quality and performance cheap! What's not to like?

For a refurb and the price, it's not bad if you need a boot drive for your pc. Probably better than buying something like a PNY.

This drive is super fast and the perfect cheap upgrade for any computer, especially laptops. My laptop boots in less then 5 seconds and goes from dormant to active in 2-3 secs. Love it!

Download software from samsung website to make identical copy of your hard drive than unplug original plug in this guy done. Fast boot up time etc.

Excellent product, great price. I see no performance issue with refurbished drive. It works flawlessly.
