This was a great find at BestBuy.com. Great price for a attractive and performance minded laptop. It's pretty light weight, but yet has a full keyboard and a non-SSD hard drive. I just wish is came in some decent packaging so that it could have been wrapped in it's box for Christmas. The generic white cardboard box with the giant "REFURBISHED" sticker would have definitely knocked the gift's quality down a few notches.

I ordered this on-line as a replacement for a basic laptop that died. It had a 15.6" screen and i5 processor at a great price, and I had had good luck with refurbished products from other companies. When the laptop arrived it worked fine, except as soon as the charger was plugged in a message popped up saying the battery was unable to be charged. So it was usable only when plugged in. I took it to Best Buy the next day where I found that this was a non-replaceable internal battery so the entire computer had to be returned. This laptop was still available on-line so my local Best Buy got a replacement overnight. This time the computer worked fine, but the charger cord sent with it was not compatible with the computer and couldn't be used. Fortunately, I was able to talk Best Buy staff at the store into letting me keep the charger from the first computer with the bad battery, and so far the replacement laptop has worked exactly as I had hoped. No complaints at all. However, given this experience my confidence in Geek Squad Refurb. products is pretty limited given that they sent out one machine with a problem that was detectable just by plugging it in, and then sent a replacement with a charger that was for an entirely different model and that wouldn't work - which also could have been detected simply by trying to plug the machine in.

First geek squard refurbished laptop was an failure and next day was return to best buy and i order an second one, soo far so good an working one.With the first one i order widi tv adaptor but because i was waiting for the second laptop it was pass 14 days and because of that when i returned to best buy do not was possible to get my money back

It's a nice computer to work on, for the most part. I wish it came in a smaller size, but you can't win them all. IT'S BATTERY LIFE IS ATROCIOUS. I get about 45 min to an hour out of it. I wish I had paid for the year-long insurance because the battery can't be replaced unless I want to pay $130. The charger gets super hot. I always worry that some day it will simply give up on me and I'll have to buy a new charger ($65) and a new battery.

I would say over all its great. But, the package was horrible it says," Geeksquad refurnatied. So I opened it and it was good so far with charger and laptop. I started it up and it had a error and so I tried to ignore. Tried starting up but then it says other user. I tried signing in but didn't work so I talked with geeksquad and says I need to take it in to bestbuy. BTW: The shipping is way too slow I gotten a delay by UPS thx ups

This laptop easily performs as well as my 17.3 $1100 laptop, does okay with some games. Overall outstanding performance and quality to cost.
