Customers highly value the Geek Squad Certified Refurbished Gear Live Smartwatch Metal for its reasonable price point and Android wear capabilities. Many users appreciate the convenience of receiving notifications for various apps directly on their wrist. However, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the charger and have encountered software compatibility issues, particularly with certain Samsung apps.

    Nice watch but won't update

I bought 1 geek squad certified watch on sale (not the 2 for 1 deal). Everything about it is great EXCEPT the fact that its in USERDEBUG-DEVELOPER MODE, so it will never update to the latest software. If I had known that before I bought it, I would've spent the extra money for a brand new one. A lot of the apps won't work with it since it has the old software. I thought Geek Squad Refurbished items were returned to stock...? It was a good deal and I wouldn't complain if I had knowingly bought it in this mode. I WOULD recommend this watch BRAND NEW, but I WOULD NOT recommend the REFURBISHED watch to someone that wants it to stay up to date.

Excellent compatibility with various Android phone

This is my first Android Wear watch and I'm impressed with the ease of use on my Asus Padfone X as well as LG G2 later. It's worked on Kit Kat and Lollipop Android OS well. I got an email from BestBuy to bring it back in for firmware update, but I believe they pushed it out OTA and I haven't had any issues. I do wish the battery last more than a day. The heart-rate sensor requires you to be stand-still to read properly. Overall, I love getting updates without having to take phone out of pocket.

    Warning!

I have owned many Samsung products and have been very pleased with the products and service until now. I am pleased with the watch's performance but the charger is Junk. After owning for about a month one of the tabs that hold the charger on broke off. I have notice this seems to be a common complaint I contacted Samsung and they said this would not be covered under warranty. I asked if there would be a redesign due to the poor design...none noted. I would avoid this product until this issue has been resolved

Has all the basics an android wear watch needs: + Great Screen + Decent Battery Life (generally lasts 22 hours) - No ambient light sensor - No speaker

    poor charging cradle system

Charging cradle broke within 4 month. Still charges but does not clip together so have to hold it together (or tape it until charged). No help from Best Buy or Samsung to replace.

Although refurbished this watch is still working perfectly after 1 year. I have had no issues connecting with my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

    Fatal Charging Flaw

This watch uses a charger which snaps onto the back of the watch. After a few months of use, one of the holes in the watch body where the charger snaps into broke. Now the charger won't stay connected to the watch without a rubber band around it. Too bad. Nice watch at a great price otherwise.

I really like this product, but there is one thing wrong with the item. I think the band are not secure enough.
